Chapter 5

I started speed walking to the park not because I was excited to see Aaron I just wanted to get as far from home as I could or was I excited to see Aaron? I mean I just saw him today but I guess apart of me was because as soon as I saw him I smiled. I quickly ran to him and hugged him wait why am I doing this? You just meant this kid today Meghan. Was Dani right did I like this guy? While these question were running through my head I realized he was hugging back.

"I'm sorry." I said letting him go.

"It's okay." He said. "So what happened you shoulder upset?" He added.

"My parents just pushing me to do stuff I don't want to do." I said.

"Like what?" He asked.

"Once I got home my mom asked why I was smiling and I told her about me meeting you and then I went upstairs and when I came she was saying I finally found a replacement for Bentley and that I wouldn't be so depressed anymore." I said.

"Who's Bentley?" He asked. I realized I said more then I meant to.

"Just a guy I knew." I said.

"Was he your boyfriend?" He asked.

"No but he did and I did too but then he.." I said before I teared up.

"Hey that's all I have to know I don't wanna make you more upset come 'ere." He said giving me a bear hug. That's when the memories cam back

*FLASH BACK*

"Alright it's your turn." Bentley said.

"Ok truth or dare?" I ask.

"Mm truth." He said.

"Who do you like?" I asked.

"Um ilikeyoumeghan." He said fast.

"What?" I asked.

"I like you." He said.

Me too." I said.

*END OF FLASH BACK*

"Hey Meghan come here I wanna show you something." Aaron said snapping me out of my flash back.

"Ok." I said. He took me to this tree along the edge of the park and lied down and patted the grass beside him. I lied down next to him.

"When something's bothering me I come here and sit under my tree." He said.

"Your tree?" I asked.

"No one really comes to this tree so I call it my tree I even carved my initial in it." He said pointing to a big 'A'. "You know it could be your our tree." He added.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah why not I consider you my friend." He said. He then to out a pocket knife and craved a 'M' in the tree.

Aaron and I talked for a bit more and I forgot about what happened at home. I don't know what was happening but I think I was starting to like Aaron more then a friend.

"I should go now but I'm glad you called it was nice talking to you." He said.

"Yeah same you made me feel better." I said.

"I'm always here for you babe anytime I'm just a phone call away." He said.

"Well bye Aaron." I said.

"Bye Meghan." He said and we parted ways.

I got home and walked in the house only to hear yelling

"I just want my daughter back Dani not this stupid depressed girl." My mom yelled and then she saw me.

"Don't fucking talk to me." I said pissed.
