The moment there is suspicion about a person's motives, everything he does becomes tainted.

Jungkook's Point of View

Jungkook was relaxing in his living area after visiting Y/N. He had a book propped open on his knee when a knock rang out against the door, catching his attention.

"There's someone here to see you." Namjoon spoke quietly, looking awkward almost. Jungkook frowned, turning to look in the doorway. Namjoon quickly escaped back through the open door as Mr Jeon stepping into the room. Jungkook was quick to his feet, the book falling to the floor as he rounded the couch, eyes locked on his Father.

"Are you ready to be rational about this?" Jungkook spoke quickly and firmly. "Or do I need to show you the door once more?"

"I'm here to try and talk some sense into you Jungkook, now that I've finally got you on your own." He moved to sit down on the sofa but Jungkook held up his hand.

"Please." Jungkook spoke firm, tone unwavering. "Don't sit. Not if you're here to criticise me. I have no time for it."

"Jungkook! I am still your Father! You can at the very least hear me out." Mr Jeon sat himself down despite Jungkook's instruction.

"I've heard what you have to say and I don't want to hear it anymore. I want to be with Y/N and my son. If you want to be part of that, all you have to do is accept it."

"Your 'son'." He scoffed before laughing as though Jungkook had told a joke. Jungkook narrowed his eyes, holding onto his temper.

"What do you mean by that?" Jungkook barked, still on his feet. "Why are you laughing?"

"This woman who played you and your brother off one another, comes back with a child. This woman who left you for the sake of monetary gain, comes back with a child she claims is yours." Jungkook's hands balled at his sides as he could feel his temper fraying and fraying quickly. "What proof do you have that this child is yours?"

"Have you seen Daesung?" Jungkook asked firmly, Mr Jeon looking uninterested. "He is my spitting image. He is my son."

"He's three, Jungkook! By the time he's five, seven - who knows who he'll look like. Perhaps his real father." Jungkook gritted his teeth, frustration bubbling through.

"I trust Y/N. If she says Daesung is my son, then I believe her. He's my son." Jungkook spoke assuredly. Mr Jeon lost his temper first. He slammed his fist into the arm of the chair, releasing his frustrations that had been building. His eyes caught Jungkook, the fury apparent as he spoke, spit flying everywhere.

"She is not to be trusted! I know for a certain fact that Y/N was unfaithful, that she is untrustworthy, a liar!" He raged.

"What is your problem with Y/N? Why can't you just leave us to enjoy our lives? Our happiness?" He questioned.

"I have proof that this child-"

"Daesung." Jungkook said.

"This child! I will not associate him with a name when I know that this is short-lived, that Y/N is just waiting to pull the rug from underneath your feet at any moment..." Mr Jeon was red in the face, he'd finally risen to face Jungkook, eyes wild. "I have proof that this child is not yours. All I'm asking Jungkook-"

"You're asking too much!" Jungkook shouted back, his own temper rising through him as they continued to argue. The argument went back and forth until Jungkook's phone started to ring loudly on the coffee table between them. Mr Jeon rolled his eyes at the sight of Y/N's name as Jungkook dived forward towards it. "Hello? Y/N? Y/N? Speak to me." Jungkook spoke, becoming concerned when he could hear panicked breathing on the other end.
