The Burrow was alive with conversation and action. The big family was having one of their family dinners, which they have nearly every week. The Weasleys often had to eat outside because of the size of their group—which was exactly what they were doing right now.
It was mid June, so the weather was warm, but it had cooled down a lot since that afternoon.
Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione were sitting near each other, sneaking glances and talking quietly. Once the whispers from the quartet had died down, Ron and Hermione stood up.
"Hey, everyone," Ron started, his cheeks heating up. "'Mione and I have an announcement." The table went quiet at this. Hermione noticed Ron's flustered appearance and took the lead.
"We're engaged!" The cheers following this statement were deafening. Mrs. Weasley gave Ron and Hermione a bone crushing hug, while Ron's brothers said words of congratulations. Harry and Ginny just smiled knowingly.
"Brilliant job, Ron!" George exclaimed, slapping Ron on the back.
"Congratulations, you two," Angelina smiled. Her belly had grown a noticeable bump from her pregnancy.
Ron and Hermione were glowing like they had when they first got engaged. It was nice to be able to finally tell people their good news.
"That's wonderful news dears!" Mrs. Weasley smiled, wiping a tear from her eye. "Oh, you all are so grown up!"
Dinner passed in a blur of happiness and excitement for Ron and Hermione. If their engagement wasn't official before, it was now. After dinner, Mrs. Weasley pulled the group of four aside,
"Hey, Mum. What's up?" Ginny asked.
"I was thinking we could work on some wedding planning since we have everyone here," Mrs. Weasley said. "For Harry and Ginny, of course."
"That's fine with me," Harry said, nodding. Ginny, Hermione, and Ron followed suit. Mrs. Weasley led them into the living room, and they sat down on the couches.
"Alright, let's work on the guest list," Mrs. Weasley began. "Who do we want to invite?"
"Our wedding is probably going to be big. Everyone will want to come to Harry Potter's wedding!" Ginny said.
"They'll come for me, but they'll stay for you," Harry pecked Ginny on the lips. Ginny laughed.
"Alright, you two," Hermione said. "We've got some wedding planning to do."
"Okay, let's get back to the original question—who are we going to invite?" Harry said. "I think we should invite the DA."
"I agree. Maybe some other classmates, too," Ron nodded.
"Ooh, we could invite some members of the Quidditch team as well," Hermione suggested.
The planning went on like this for a while. Harry and Ginny also decided to invite Hogwarts staff such as Hagrid, McGonagall, and Flitwick.
"Who's gonna be the flower girls and ring bearer?" Ron brought up.
"Teddy should be ring bearer," Ginny said. "Victoire can be a flower girl, but we still need one more."
"We could just have one," Harry said. "Vic is capable of doing on her own, I think." Ginny agreed to this, and they continued to talk.
Pretty soon, it had gotten late, and Teddy was sleeping in Harry's arms.
"We should get him home, Gin," he whispered. Ginny nodded, and the Apparated home.
Grimmauld Place was empty and quiet, they hadn't been there all day. Harry and Ginny quietly tucked a sleeping Teddy in his bed, then went to their room to get ready for bed.
