The morning sunlight streamed through the windows, lighting up the bedroom. Harry rolled over in his bed, and groggily reached for his glasses. Ginny rolled over in bed to face him.

"Morning, love," she said tiredly. She sighed, and looked at the clock. "I've got practice today," Ginny said. "Gwen wants us there early, so I should probably get ready." Ginny climbed out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. Ginny plays for the Holyhead Harpies, as a chaser.

"I've got work today, too," Harry replied from across the room. "Auror Roberts says he has a special mission for Ron and I today. I may be late coming home."

"That's fine. You think Mum will be fine watching Teddy until I get home from practice? Bill and Fleur can bring Victoire, too," his fiance responded.

"I'm sure she'll be fine, Gin. Your mum loves the kids." They were both making their way downstairs at this point, and were getting ready for breakfast. Harry poured himself and Ginny a cup of coffee, and slid Ginny's mug over too her. Ginny gave him a grateful smile and a peck on the cheek.

"I don't have to be at work for another hour, so I can take Teddy to the Burrow," Harry offered.

"That'd be great, Harry. I'll see you after practice?" Ginny asked. With a nod of confirmation from Harry, Ginny pecked him on the lips, grabbed her bag, and walked out the door.

The Burrow's living room was a mess of toys and blankets. Teddy and Victoire were sitting on a spread out blanket, playing with each other. Molly and Fleur were in the kitchen making lunch, and Bill was supervising the kids.

"Look, Vic, I can do magic!" Teddy grabbed a toy wand from the pile of toys on the floor, and was waving it around wildly. Victoire giggled as she watched her friend.

"You're gonna be a great wizard, Ted, just like Harry. And your dad," Bill grinned as he picked Teddy up. Teddy laughed and squirmed out of Bill's grasp.

"Kids, Bill! Lunch is ready!" Mrs. Weasley called from the kitchen.

"What do you say, Teddy, Victoire? Ready for some lunch?" Bill asked the kids. Taking their excited nods as a 'yes', he picked them up and headed to the kitchen for some food.

The table was set, with options of sandwiches, soup, and crackers, among other things. "Looks great, Mum and Fleur," Bill commented. Turning to Teddy and Victoire, he said "What do you guys say to Grandma Molly and Fleur for making you lunch?"

"Thank you!" the kids said in unison. Fleur and Molly smiled and started dishing up lunch for everyone.

After lunch, the next few hours passed in a whirlwind of playing, laughs, and toys.

Teddy and Victoire were sitting on the spread out blankets, listening to Fleur as she read a story aloud. They were a pretty good audience, except for a few times when they got distracted or loud. To their surprise, a knock was heard at the door.

"I'll get ze door. Zat's probably 'Arry and Ginny," Fleur said, standing up. As she opened the door, she saw only Ginny standing there. "'Ello, Ginny, where's 'Arry?" she asked.

"Hey, Fleur. Harry's coming home from work late, so it's just me today," Ginny responded.

"Okay. I assume you're 'ere for Teddy? Why don't you come on in?" Fleur said, leading Ginny to where Teddy and Victoire were sitting. Spotting Ginny, Teddy runs over to her and gives her a big hug.

"Hey, Ted! Did you have fun today?" Ginny asked with a hint of amusement, noticing Teddy's obvious zeal.

"Yes! I got to play with Vic all day!" Teddy replied enthusiastically. "Where's Harry?"

"Harry's going to be a little late today, Teddy. Ready to go home?' Ginny said. Teddy nodded and he and Ginny used Floo powder to get back to Grimmauld Place.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back at Grimmauld Place, Ginny and Teddy are waiting for Harry to come home.

"Ginny, when is Harry coming home?" Teddy asked worriedly. Ginny gives him a sympathetic smile.

"He'll home soon, Ted. Don't worry," Ginny replied. They ate a quiet dinner, and soon, it was time for Teddy to go to bed. "Alright, Teddy, we need to get you to bed," she says.

"But I don't want to go to bed. Can't I stay up and wait for Harry? Please?" Teddy pleaded. Ginny sighed tiredly.

"Okay, but only 30 more minutes. If Harry's not here by the time you go to sleep, I promise that he'll be here in the morning, alright?" Teddy agreed to this, and they sat and waited for about 20 more minutes, before they heard the door being opened.

"Harry! There you are! Oh, thank Merlin, Teddy and I have been worried sick about you!" Ginny ran over to Harry and threw her arms around his shoulders. Teddy also ran up and gave Harry a hug.

"I'm fine, guys, really. But I am exhausted, so I'm probably going to eat, then go straight to bed." Harry told his family. After he and Ginny put Teddy to bed, Harry walked into the kitchen and made himself a plate.

"Everything alright with work, Harry?" Ginny inquired. It was pretty late, and Harry was at work for much longer than usual.

"Everything's fine, Gin. Just had to work a little later than usual, that's all," Harry smiled warily. Ginny nodded, but didn't say anything. They both cleared off their plates, but Harry was clearly exhausted.

"I think I'm going to head up to bed, Ginny. Are you fine cleaning the kitchen on your own tonight?" Harry asked her.

"I'll be fine, Harry. You really look like you could use some sleep, anyway," Ginny replied, already starting the dishes.

"Thanks, Gin. Goodnight, I love you," Harry said, pecking her on the lips.

"Goodnight, Harry. I love you too."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Ginny went up to bed about 30 minutes later, she found Harry fast asleep on their bed, still wearing his work clothes and glasses. She quietly and gently took off Harry's work robes and shoes, and put his glasses on the bedside table. She didn't know what Harry had been doing at work that made him so tired, but it couldn't be anything to serious. If it was, he would tell her. Ginny smiled fondly at her fiance, gently kissed him on the forehead, and climbed into bed beside him.

A/N: Here's chapter 2! I hope you guys enjoyed this one! Also, writing Fluer's accent is pretty challenging, so I'm sorry if that was a little inaccurate. Chapter 3 should be coming soon. Thanks for reading! 💛
