Amsterdam ArenA
Amsterdam, Netherlands
I've just decided to take all that I've written in my notebook and upload it onto Wattpad. I have a disguise in place so nobody suspects we really are on tour with the band. So things like this in which I've just written I edit so it's different or take it out completely. But sometimes I put teasers indicating we're on tour. They're so subtle not even the guys can figure it out, when I ask one of them to read a certain part. I'm proud of my writing skills.
Anyway, onto our new location. The Netherlands. Amsterdam. The Amsterdam ArenA. I'm not sure if the 'a' at the end of 'arena' is supposed to be capitalized, but that's what the tour map said, so that's what I copied.
I like it here. The people are nice, it's really pretty, and it's just the right weather for me. A little on the cold side, but at least it isn't freezing. And the sun is out, it's shining and warming everything anyway. There's a rock near our hotel that supposedly gets really warm in the middle of the day, when the sun is out. I wanted to go and sit on it, but we haven't left the hotel yet. I think we'll be here all day, until around 6 for soundcheck. That's perfectly fine with me; the jetlag is still going on (though not nearly as bad, the time-zones are very near each other) and I have a massive headache. I should be asleep right now, but I can't. I'm too happy to fall asleep.
I didn't write about it, but the other day, while we were still in London, I asked the guys (including Phil) if they'd go meet the Canadian guy down the hall from us. That guy was always incredibly nice the whole time we were there, at least to me. I thought it wasn't fair that he didn't know his favorite band was staying right down the hall from him.
So, I went and pounded on Chris's door, then Jonny's, and Phil's, and Guy's (who was extremely angry at me because he'd been taking a nap), and then Will's. Will's room was the very last down the hall.
They all opened their doors and stuck their heads out into the hallway (which was quite a sight, I might add) and sighed at me.
"I was asleep," Guy growled at me.
I felt genuinely sorry for waking him up, but didn't say so until breakfast.
"I asked Phil about this yesterday," I started, "but I dunno if he told you."
Phil shook his head.
I remember briefly thinking, C'mon dude. "Well, there's a guy staying down the hallway from us, just before the stairs, who's here for all four shows. He's really nice to me--and Quince and Rylan--and doesn't know you're right here."
"Kind of the point," Chris yawned.
I waved him off. "I wanted you guys to go knock on his door. That'd make his day. And week. And year."
Will nodded with approval at Chris, who gave a thumbs up to Phil, who glanced at the angry Guy. Jonny simply stepped outside and came to stand next to me. Way to make me feel four feet shorter. He's a really tall guy.
"If we get mobbed," Chris said, "I blame you."
Yeah, thanks. "You won't get mobbed. He's the only one on this floor who isn't part of the crew, besides us." I had gestured to an invisible Rylan and an invisible Quince, and he laughed and shook his head.
"Well, let's go, chaps."
They marched down the hallway, to the Canadian guy's door. I stood in the back, out of the way, talking about the most hilarious things I could think of to get Guy out of his angry, sleepy mood. It didn't work much, but I did get him to smile slightly.
