Taehyung—

I felt the jolt whenever the car stopped in front of the school, signaling me to check if I had my bag slung over my shoulder. "Let's go, Tae," Jungkook murmured, opening the door, and taking ahold of my arm. I let the younger pull me out of the vehicle, and slam the door shut, before leading me up the steps into the building before us. An easy silence enveloped us; the sounds of shoes squeaking against tiled floors, and the familiar clunking of Jungkook's boots filled my ears, from all around me. A small smile grew on my lips, thinking about how lucky I am to have the other.

I know. Who knew I'd be feeling this sappy towards the guy who bumped into me and didn't apologize? But, he's really changed. Ever since he broke up with that bitch, Yong Sun, he's been the biggest sweetheart that I've ever met in my life. It's nice.

And so fucking confusing for my heart and brain alike. They both want the same thing, but don't know how to get it. It's like seeing your favorite treat right on the table, as a kid, but you're way too short to grab it, and you're just left to stare at it until someone notices and gives it to you. That's my predicament. I want Jungkook, but I don't know how to get to him, so I'm waiting for someone to notice and help give him to me. The question still remains to which is if he even likes boys and if he would want to date a guy who can't even see him.  A guy who'd miss so many of life's moments with him.

Sighing, I shoved the depressing thought aside, as the familiar scent of books and lavender filled my nostrils. "We're in class already?" I asked, surprised. Jungkook chuckled, "were you so lost in your thoughts that you didn't count your steps?" I shook my head, in response. A heavy hand patted the top of my hair, and slid their fingers into my locks. "You're too cute. So what were you thinking about?" Scolding my heart for jumping at the fact that the younger called me cute, I shrugged one shoulder. "Nothing special really. Just about how much you've changed from the first time I've met you, is all." The other male chuckled lightly. "I was a complete dick to you, I honestly don't get why you even bothered with me."

Jungkook led us to our desks, and waited for me to take a seat before he did himself. I grinned widely, and reached forward, palm facing towards him. Luckily the younger got the message, and laced his fingers through mine, bringing our hands down to rest on the surface of my desk. "Well if I didn't bother with you, would we be like this now?" I asked, rubbing my thumb against Jungkook's skin, lightly.

"No, I guess not."

Was it just me, or did the younger's voice sound breathy? Maybe my ears are getting all muddled up with all the chatter around me. I brushed off the thought, and smiled softly. "I'm glad that we got past our little feud and got to know one another," I admitted. "My life has definitely gotten brighter ever since you came in it, and that's metaphorically, because I obviously can't see." Jungkook snorted, "I don't know if I should be thanking you for the compliment, or concerned that you're sad about being blind." I shrugged, and flashed a winning grin, "oh, Jungkookie, you don't have to worry about little old me. I'm a big boy. I'm tough." That made the younger laugh, filling my chest with a sense of fluttering joy and giddiness. That's right. I should be the only one who could make him laugh like this. No one else.

But, I have no right.

So, I might as well enjoy these small moments, while I still can. One day...he'll find someone else to love and care for, and I'll just be nothing more than a friend to him. If we even last that long.

"Attention class, please settle down so I can introduce the new student," Mrs. Park called. There was a loud shout, that sounded like it came from out in the hallway, and the door slammed open with a bang. "MOM I TOLD YOU TO SLAP ME IF I SLEEP PAST MY ALARM, NOT JUST LEAVE THE HOUSE AND LAUGH AT ME WHILE I COMPLAIN AT DINNER!" Jimin yelled, stomping to his seat. Silence fell over the class, as the latecomer took his seat, behind me, with a huff. After another stifling moment of awkward quiet everyone burst into laughter that was filled with screeching and hollering. It took a minute for Mrs. Park to resettle the class, again, and I could only imagine the expression on her face.

The elder woman sighed loudly, at her son. "Jimin, it's not my responsibility if you sleep past your alarm. During this time I am your teacher, not your mother." The elder boy snorted, "technically you're still my mom. It's just right now you're mom and my teacher. The point is, as duty of my being my mother, you're supposed to wake me up if I sleep past my alarm, so that way I don't have to rush down to the school like a madman. Do you know how many people I bulldozed over, and had to apologize to today? No? Well, I hope you won't mind Mrs. Jung's visit tonight, about me knocking over her son. Again. You're lucky we're all friends, and Hobi expects this of me already."

Mrs. Park just sighed again, as if she'd already heard this monologue a hundred times before. "Jimin, stay after class, alright? Now, before I was rudely interrupted by my idiot son—"

"HEY!"

"Let's welcome Jung Jaehyun." (a/n: I know I keep using NCT members, but there are a lot of them, so might as well lols)

"Nice to meet you all, please treat me well."

My head whipped up at the name, not believing in my ears and what they'd heard. No way...it can't be him. No, I shouldn't get my hopes up high. Jaehyun's a popular name, right? Right? There's no way it's the Jaehyun I know. The Jaehyun I know is attending a completely different school no where near here. There's no way it's him. Yeah. It's just someone with the same name. It can't be him.

"Jaehyun you'll sit next to Taehyung. Taehyung can you raise your hand?" I slowly, lifted my arm, reluctant, for some reason. Oh, God, what if it is him? I chewed on my lip, nerves shocked to a fray. A low soft voice murmured into my left ear, "Taehyung you can put your hand down now." I lowered my arm, eyebrows furrowing. "Jaehyun right?" I asked, hesitantly. The other male chuckled lightly, before answering. "Yes. You should remember me, Taehyung. I saw how you reacted when Mrs. Park said my name." I felt my ears burning, and ducked my head. "Is it really you, Jaehyun?"

The younger laughed softly. "Yeah, it is. I finally found you, buddy." A wide grin cracked on my lips, at the thought of my former best friend attending the same school as me. "Oh my god, I haven't heard from you in forever!" I swiveled my body towards the other's voice. "I know, I'm sorry that we lost touch. It's just that my life has gotten so wild after you left. I couldn't even think a lot for myself, much less about you." I shook my head, and put a hand up, "no it's fine. I feel the exact same." I extended my arm, and grinned. "Let's fix that, okay, Jae Jae?"

A warm hand wrapped around mine, and pumped it. "I missed you Taehyung."

"Tch."

"Hm? Kookie, is there something wrong?"

"Oh! Nothing! I was just about to sneeze is all."

"Oh...okay then."

What was that?

Who's ready for I am YOU? NOT ME BITCH HAHAHAHAHAH
