Jungkook—
I don't like him. Like, I really, really, really don't like him. The kind of "don't like" where I want to go find a bucket and chuck it as his head, whenever he approaches Taehyung. The kind of "don't like" where I want to rip his sparkly white teeth out, whenever he smiles at Tae. The kind of "don't like" where I just want to slap his face repeatedly until its numb. Who is he to be all clingy and close to my Taehyung? Yes. My Taehyung. I don't want that Jaehyun kid even within a foot radius of my silver-haired beauty.
Taehyung was and is mine. Even if he doesn't know it yet. Does it sound like I'm being possessive? Well, that may be because Jaehyun has stolen Tae, again, for the third time this week, ever since he's started attending this school. Or maybe it's because he's the one making Taehyung laugh, and not me. Or maybe it's because his fucking arm is wrapped around Tae's waist.
I clenched my fists, gritting my teeth, at the sight. The two were eating outside, since the weather was wonderfully nice today. To anyone else, it probably looked cute. Two guys eating lunch together—"awww! Couple goals!" I seriously want to throw up, at the lovey-dovey scene.
A flying carrot hitting home on the back of my head, snapped me out of my thoughts, to send an icy glare at Jimin. "Are you serious? Carrots are meant to go into your mouth, not become darts with my face as your target." The elder laughed, face lighting up, and eyes folding into puffy crescents. "Oh, come on, Kook! Nothing else would get your attention. We were calling your name for the past twenty seconds, and you still weren't answering." The shorter male wriggled his eyebrows at me, "could it be you're distracted by a certain couple eating lunch outside, on this beautiful Autumn day?"
I scoffed, and swung my body around, so that it was no longer angled towards the windows that peered out into the courtyard. "Who says I'm distracted by Taehyung and Jaehyun?" Hoseok quirked an eyebrow, as he sipped his soda through a straw, "mm? Who said anything about Taehyung and Jaehyun? We meant Yong Sun and the sucker that fell for her." The elder nodded his chin, to where the bitch and her new toy sat on the opposite side of where Taehyung and Jaehyun were.
Realizing that I might have exposed myself, I pursed my lips, and swiveled back to my food, and shoved a soft bun into my mouth, hoping that no one would address my slip-up earlier.
Sadly, luck wasn't on my side. And karma came in the form of Park Jimin.
"Soooo, what's going on with you and Tae, hmm?" The elder asked, perching his chin on the back of his hand, and batting his lashes innocently. I scowled at the blonde, and only continued to eat. When he didn't get the reaction he wanted, Jimin reached over the table to pinch my ears, between his fingers. "Yah! When your elder asks you a question, you answer, you little brat!"
I clawed at Jimin's smaller hand, wincing at the pain shooting down from my ear. "Ahh, stop it, stop it! That fucking hurts, man! That's my piercing! Jeez, I'm sorry hyung, now let go of me, will ya?" I yelped, finally managing to yank my precious ear away from the monster's grasp. Jimin huffed, settling back in his seat, arms crossed over his chest. "You seriously need to know how to respect your elders, you brat." I rolled my eyes, rubbing my stinging ear, tenderly. "Whatever you say, old man."
"What was that?"
"Nothing!"
"What's going on here?"
I angled my head so that I could see who had spoken. Not like I needed to. I would recognize that voice anywhere. I just wanted to see his beautiful face.
"Ahh, Taehyung!" Hoseok greeted, "hello Jaehyun." I let my face fall back into a passive expression when my sights fell on the brunette. What the heck is he doing here?
Jaehyun offered Hoseok a slight eye-smile, and nodded his head towards Jimin and I. Dammit, I can't even find any faults on this guy! That only aggravated me further. You can't just hate someone who's perfect in every aspect of life!
I know that he's Taehyung's childhood friend. The elder told us the first day Jaehyun came here. He went on and on about what they used to do as kids, and how much fun they had. At first, I was...alright with Jaehyun. I was already jealous when he and Tae had their little reunion back in first period, on Monday, but as long as he knew when to keep his distance, I was fine with everything. But, no. He didn't keep his distance. If anything, he just kept coming closer and closer, and dragging Taehyung farther and farther away. From me.
Of course I know that they're childhood friends and that they haven't seen each other in years. I know I should grant them their time together. After all, I see Taehyung everyday at school, and at home, since my mother and I are staying at his place, while my father is still high and mighty, and the lawyer's still working on taking him down to prison. I know, I know, I know. But, there was just something about Jaehyun that makes me think that he has ulterior motives. Something that he's not revealing to everyone yet.
Jaehyun carefully led Taehyung into a seat, before straightening, and sending us all a smile. "I was just dropping Tae Tae off. He needs to be with his helper. I'll be off now, see you guys around! Bye Tae Tae." Taehyung replied to his parting, sweetly, with a wide smile. Jaehyun grinned softly, before swooping down, and kissing the top of Taehyung's silver head. "Bye."
I felt my blood boil and simmer, as my eyes remained glued to the other male's retreating back. How dare he kiss Taehyung's head in front of me? Does he have a death wish? Don't I make it obvious that I don't want anyone, other than me and my friends, touching Taehyung? Who was he to do that? I'm supposed to be the one who gives Taehyung affection like that, no one else!
"You alright there, Kook? You look ready to murder someone," Yoongi's sleepy voice rang in my right ear, sending me flying out of seat, with a yelp. "How the hell did you get there without me seeing?" I cried, holding a hand to my rapidly beating heart. Yoongi raised an indifferent eyebrow. "What? I've been here the whole time. Are you really that oblivious?" Jimin snickered, "are you going to get off of the floor? It's dirty down there." I sent the others, who were laughing their asses off, a cold look, before picking myself off of the floor.
"It's not funny," I grumbled. "Stop laughing." Taehyung giggled, "I wish I could've been able to see that. It must've been funnier than how it sounds." My heart softened, and my earlier resentment melted away. I slid back into my seat, and wrapped an arm around the elder's shoulders. Taehyung rested his head against my bicep, closing his eyes, cutely. A smile curled on my lips, without my realizing, as I stared at the aforementioned. Everything about him is just my type. I've been attracted to him since the beginning.
It's just going to be a matter of time before my feelings can't take it anymore, and I'll end up confessing. And the scary part was the fact that I no longer cared about how others would view me anymore. After years and years of caring about my outward appearance, it's scary to think that I'm finally ready to risk everything I've worked so hard for. What a waste to let it all go crashing down. But, one look at Taehyung, and all of my worries wash away in a calm wave. He's my very own therapeutic relief medicine.
My eyes wandered away from the elder's face, to land on the large smirk that the others were hosting on their lips. I glared at my friends.
"What? Leave me alone."
