Taehyung—
When I woke up, all I could see was black. Puzzled, I stretched out my hand and wriggled my fingers. I still couldn't see anything. That's strange, since I was sure that my surgery was a complete success. I remembered opening my eyes to a world of blurry color and hazy figures. I was sure that I could see again.
I started panicking, wondering if this was some cruel joke life decided to play on me. I felt tears stream down my cheeks, and I sunk down to my knees. How could it be that my sight has been stolen away from me, again? After everything I went through, why does it have to turn out this way? Why does this have to happen to me? Why me of all people? It probably would've been better if I didn't do the surgery at all, rather than having done it and only seeing for a couple hours. It's not fair! Why is it me?
I let my face fall into my palms, and let a weak sob slip past my lips. I must've done something terrible in my past life, for so much bad luck to come down upon me in this one. I really must've done something absolutely horrible for my sight to be taken away, not just once, but twice.
With a heavy heart, I realized that I haven't even seen Jungkook's face, yet. He was busy helping his mother with something, so he wasn't able to come to the hospital. He promised to come by later, after he was done. Now, I will never be able to see his face. I will never be able to know what he looks like. And that wasn't the only thing. I can barely even remember what my own parents' faces looked like. Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't remember if their hair turned grayer, or if they have wrinkles, or what their smiles look like. I can't remember at all!
I can't...remember.
I can't see...

"Mr. Kim? Mr. Kim!"
I jolted awake, and opened my eyes, to meet a sea of darkness. "Huh? What?" I mumbled, still dazed from the anesthesia. Someone chuckled on my right, and I whipped my head towards the sound. "You're done Kim Taehyung. We're wheeling you out to your family now." I frowned, furrowing my eyebrows. "What? But, I can't see anything?" The same voice gave me a light laugh, "don't worry about that. It's a blindfold. Your parents insisted for it."
Sighing through my nose, I settled myself into my wheelchair. "That sounds like my parents. Always doing the unnecessary." The person chuckled, "yes, well. I would agree that your folks are sure eccentric. In a good way, of course." A grin curled on my lips, as I nodded, in agreement. The sound of a door sliding met my ears, and I was being moved again.
"Oh, Taehyungie! My baby!" My mother exclaimed, once I was pushed into a room, and someone slid the door closed. I was immediately embraced, in a tight hug, with my face pressed against my mother's prominent collarbones. "Ow, Mother! That hurts!" I whined, swatting my hands, absently, not really trying to hit anything.
My mother peppered my face with kisses, before letting me go. Huffing, I smoothed my shirt, and smiled widely. Excitement buzzed in my veins, causing my whole body to shake, nervously. This was it. The moment that I've been wishing and vying for, ever since I was young.
I felt fingers tug at the blindfold, and tilted my head a bit. "Are you ready, angel?" Jungkook whispered, softly, into my ear. I pursed my lips, and held out my palm. Taking the hint, the younger laced his fingers through mine, and pressed the back of my hand to his chest. I took a deep breath and nodded firmly. This won't be like my dream. I will see Jungkook's face, and I won't let life take that away from me.
Slowly, the other male pulled off the blindfold, with trembling fingers.
Bright, hazy lights filled my vision, at first. Then I could see a blurry figure beginning to take a form, in front of me. Slowly, but surely, I began to make out doe eyes, a nose, lips, dark black hair that was parted in the middle. With shaking hands, I reached out, and touched the person's face, and caressed their cheeks with my fingers.
"J-Jungkook? Is that you?" I whispered, soaking in every detail of his face. The younger's lips broke into a soft smile, with teeth that resembled a rabbit's. "Yeah. Yeah, it's me, Tae." Tears began to stream down my face, as I gave him a wobbly smile, before looking up to see an older couple, with graying hair and bright smiles.
"Mother? Father?"
They both nodded, tears in their eyes. I moved my head around slowly, looking at everything and anything, as much as I could. Once, I was satisfied at staring at the plain hospital room, I realized that I was still sitting in my wheelchair. Slowly, I grasped the handlebars, and began lifting myself out of the vehicle.
"Woah, woah! Easy there," Jungkook murmured, grabbing my arms, when my knees buckled underneath me. "You were drugged for hours. Don't think you'll be able to stand immediately," the younger teased, leading me towards the bed. I scoffed, indignantly, and pouted, like a child. "Leave me alone, I didn't remember that." The other male laughed, and I found myself being entranced with how his whole face lit up; forgetting that I was supposed to be irritated with him.
Someone cleared their throat, and I looked past Jungkook's shoulder to see my parents staring at us with wide smirks on their faces. I felt my face flush, and suddenly found my knees very interesting. "Well, your father and I will let you two lovebirds flirt, while we go sign all of those papers, and get the medical bill," my mother sighed, dramatically. "Come on, honey, our son thinks his boyfriend is more important than the people who gave birth to him."
"Aw, Mother! Don't be like that!" I whined. The elder woman turned her head, and sent me a smile, before stepping out of the room, with my father. Huffing, I flopped onto my back, and turned my head to stare at Jungkook some more. "You're more handsome than I'd thought you would be," I stated, bluntly. The younger scoffed, and gave me a hurt expression. "Don't tell me you thought I was some mediocre guy. My angel can't be dating someone with so-so looks!"
I snorted, and sat back up. "Now you're just bragging about yourself." Jungkook smiled brightly, and tilted his head to the side. "Aren't you just a smart, smart boy?" Leering, I shoved the other's shoulder, lightly. "Don't make fun of your elders," I muttered, crossing my arms across my chest. The younger sighed through his nose, smile still wide.
"Kim Taehyung," Jungkook declared, abruptly. "Kiss me."
I raised an eyebrow at the request. "Why do you want me to do it?" The younger smirked, and leaned back in his chair. "Before it would always be me kissing you, since you didn't know where my lips were. But now that you can see, I command you to kiss me. Right now. Do it now." Rolling my eyes, I slid my legs over the edge of the hospital bed. "Yes, yes. All for his highness."
Slowly, I leaned over, and grabbed the younger's shoulders, staring straight into his dark shining eyes. I let myself slip off of the bed, and sit in the other's lap, with my legs at his sides. "For someone who hasn't been able to see for years, you're pretty good at seducing me," Jungkook murmured, hands snaking around my waist.
Smirking, I threaded my fingers through the younger's hair, and brought my lips to his.
"I guess I'm just a natural."
