The Tender Flower {Meteor Garden 2018}

Chapter 7

"Oh my god Jing! You're back?" Someone announced and everyone's attention turned to the beautiful TengTang Jing who moved gracefully towards their table, smiling brightly.

Meiza quickly let go of Lei's hand and straightened herself out before Jing could see. Lei did the same as well.

"Jing!" Shancai exclaimed and stood up to embrace her.

"Shancai! It's been such a long time! Congratulations on your marriage! And you too Ah Si," she grinned, hugging Ah Si as well.

Jing hugged everyone else and introduced herself to Ju and Xiaoyou, who seemed equally as excited to meet her.

"Meimei?" Jing said in astonishment.

"Jiejie!!" Meiza screamed and hugged Jing tightly. Meiza was still surprised to see her so she had to fake some of her excitement.

"I missed you so much!" Jing replied. "You are so beautiful Meimei!"

"Thank you Jing! I missed you too," Meiza said in return. She could feel Jing's attention slowly drift off towards Lei and a weird feeling emerged in Meiza's stomach.

The way Jing looked at Lei made Meiza a little angry for some reason despite Meiza trying her best to think more about Connor.

"Lei," Jing said and Lei stood up. Jing brushed past Meiza and embraced Lei. Lei smiled a little and hugged her back as well.

Meiza couldn't help but stare at  them. She decided then and there that whatever she was feeling had to stop.

If Jing was back, that means Lei would obviously want to reconnect with her. He did tell Meiza once that he and Jing would always love each other, no matter what. That their love was 'rare'.

Right now, seeing them together made Meiza realize
that maybe they were meant to be together. After all, Meiza had Connor right? So what could possibly go wrong?

The rest of the evening went by slowly for Meiza and by the end of the party, she collapsed onto her bed as soon as she went home.

She kept replaying the scenario between her and Lei in her head before slapping herself and eventually falling asleep.

While Meiza tried to convince herself to sleep, Lei was also at home thinking about what just happened.

He didn't really know how to react when he saw Jing walk in and warm everyone's hearts with her smile. She was back yes, but she might go back soon.

Besides he was just making a vow to himself to go after Meiza. Now Jing is back? It's like the universe was trying to test him.

And it was working.

He couldn't decipher if his feelings for Meiza were genuine now that Jing is back because his feelings for Jing were just now revived.

He decided to sleep instead because he was just really tired.

5 months later

Meiza was at her usual business class with Ju, planning something to do after class.

They decided to go hang out with her brother and his friends because that's all what Ju wanted to do these days: be with Meizou.

Meiza obviously didn't want to say anything because Ju seemed to really like him but Meiza had tried her best to avoid F4 and the rest of the gang.
