The reception was going really well for the surprise newly-weds. Many people who were anticipating Jing to get married, left the venue. But this didn't matter to Meiza who was the happiest she had ever been. Sure being sixteen, married and the daughter of the richest man in Shanghai seemed like a burden all in one night but Meiza was quite content. She was glad to see Ju again after so many months and to see Meizou back to being his old self as well.
'So does that mean my brother and sister are having a baby together?' Meiza thought with disgust.
She decided to think about that later and focused on her friends who were partying like there was no tomorrow. Meiza had a few drinks here and there but she didn't want to overdo it.
She saw Ju sitting by herself and immediately ran towards her before Meizou came back.
"Why did you run?" Ju questioned with a frown.
"I wanted to talk to you before Meizou stole you," Meiza replied and made Ju chuckle.
"He just went to the bathroom so you might have to make it quick," Ju said, her hands placed on her belly.
"Okay. Okay. So about Fang Gao-"
"Our father wants to meet with you again to apologise and reconcile, Meiza. He would really like to get to know his daughter," Ju cut her off, answering the question she was about to ask.
"Oh," Meiza said and looked around the room.
"He wants to have a dinner with us this Friday at his new house. Or our new house I guess. He wants to meet Meizou and Lei as well," Ju informed and Meiza nodded.
"Okay... sure.... what could go wrong?" Meiza smiled.
"He's back," Ju sang and Meiza stood up to make room for her brother.
"Meizou! She's all yours," Meiza smirked and walked away to get another drink after hearing what Ju said.
She sipped her champagne and watched everyone having a good time. Her mind was now elsewhere, thinking about this dinner with her real father. She was also meaning to talk with her other parents who were abroad on business.
"Meiza," someone called her name from behind her. It sounded a little slurred and she tried to hold back her laughter when she saw who it was.
"Lei, are you okay?" Meiza bit her lip, trying to stifle her laugh. It was a very, very rare sight indeed.
"I want to party for some reason. This has never happened before," he spoke, leaning against the bar where Meiza was at. She chuckled and ruffled his brown hair.
"You're drunk, Lei. Stop," Meiza ordered but he just took her champagne and gulped half of it down. Meiza was shocked but she also started laughing hard.
"Lei! Listen to your wife!" she tried to say in between her laughter.
"My wife," Lei repeated, burying his face into her shoulder. "Meiza."
"Mmhmm?"
He brought his face up and stared down at her. His drunk state seemed to intensify his feelings for Meiza and he wanted to do all sorts of things to her all of a sudden.
"You look so good in this dress," he smirked, his face just a few inches from her face.
Meiza's face reddened. She couldn't help but feel flustered by his little comment and she had an urge in her stomach to continue what they were doing earlier.
"L-Lei, we still have a party to host and you're drunk," Meiza stuttered.
"I love you, Meiza. I can't help myself," Lei answered. He pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and trailed his finger down her jaw to her neck and to her collarbone. "I want to rip this dress off you and kiss every part of your body."
