MEIZA'S POV"And do you Huaze Lei take TengTang Jing to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
Lei hesitated. His eyes immediately met mine and I frowned at him trying to ask him what the hell he was doing. He stayed like that for a while before he opened his mouth to speak.
My heart was pounding, wondering what he would say. If he said no then he would be in a lot of trouble but that means he won't be tied down to Jing. I didn't know what to think exactly. I told him to stay away from me and he did exactly that. But... I missed him. A lot. His sarcastic remarks, his music and even his silence. After seeing him again, I realised that I should stop being a fool. I should stop hurting him. I should just be with him. Because I love him.
"I-" he was about to say but he was cut off by someone else. It wasn't me.
"HOLD ON ONE FUCKING SECOND!"
I flinched and immediately turned to the crazy person who had barged into the wedding and yelled. As soon as I did, my eyes widened and the bouquet in my hand fell to the floor.
"J-Ju?" I stuttered. I blinked twice to see if I was dreaming but I wasn't. Ju, my best friend and sister, was storming down the aisle towards us. She had cut her hair short, up to her chin, and she was dressed more smartly than what she used to wear before. She was wearing a really oversized black coat that covered most of her body for some reason.
"Ju?" Meizou asked, his mouth hanging open. He immediately stepped down from where he was and walked towards her.
"Hey Meizou, missed-"
Meizou grabbed her and kissed her passionately. He even dipped her because that's how happy he was to see her. My heart warmed because I could finally see him return to being his old self again.
"Was that really necessary?" Ju said when he pulled away and he smirked at her and nodded. I stepped down and walked towards her, pushing Meizou away from her and engulfing her in a hug. She embraced me back tightly.
"I missed you," I whispered and she chuckled, stroking my hair. "I tried looking for you. I was worried."
"Don't worry. I wasn't harmed in any way. I actually learned quite a lot while I was away," Ju admitted and pulled away.
"What do you mean? Where were you exactly?" I asked her with a frown on my face.
"Hold that thought," she ordered and stood in front of the bride and groom. She spread her hands out and smiled.
"Ladies and gentleman, I know you were all here to witness the marriage of two children from wealthy families. But I think you may have been slightly misunderstood," Ju announced. I looked worriedly at Meizou who seemed to be in another world.
"Firstly, the TengTang's business has gone bankrupt. They tried to cover it up of course but it's being run down to the ground ever since Miss Jing decided to scamper off to Paris."
My mouth fell open and I stared at Jing who looked just as shocked. She turned to her parents immediately and they gave her guilty looks.
"Secondly, this marriage was not because Jing and Lei WERE in love, but because the TengTang family is broke and they needed an arranged marriage with a wealthy family for financial gain," Ju continued.
