I wake up with a burning sensation on my skin, i get up and see the sun is burning my skin, slowly but surely, i start to scream from the pain but at the same moment seth comes with full speed and pushes me to the corner of the room with heavy breathing looking at me.
"i'm guessing adrian never told you the bad side of being a vampire huh" - he smirks
i look at him and push myself off him.
" what the hell, why does nobody tell me stuff like this, i deserve to know damit!"
he laughs.
"i don't know, if you want i can tell you, but not right now because you're obviosly burning, we need to take you to the underground"
before i can say a word he covers me with a cloak and puts me on his shoulders
"what the bloody hell are you doing seth!?"
"hold on"- he smiles
he speed runs to the chapel and carries me downstairs
"let me go!" - i kick and and yell
adrian hears me and runs to the entrance
"you should take care of her more brother, she would have been dead by now if i didn't come"
he looks at seth with no words
"kathrene are you ok?"
"am i ok? no i'm not! first of all no one even tells me that the sun burns my skin! second... you two should talk, im gonna shower.."
i walk off to my room angry while seth and adrian look at me and then each other
"i think you owe her an apology brother, after all, you never told her anything, she deserves to know everything that comes with our "gift" of eternal life"
"i know.... thanks for taking care of her.."
adrian comes to my room to explain everything, while seth is still standing there.
"tell me something seth" - says maura while walking to him
"what is it now"
"what does this newborn has that i don't, how come she won him over i thought i was still in the picture!"
"maura, you know my brother, he chooses who he likes, of course your still dear to him, but life goes on and on.. "
"i hate her! she doesn't deserve to be here, we all work together as a clan as a group, but what does she do,she kills a man, she goes off and almost kills herself, and putting our clan at risk, look, i've lived with adrian i've been with him for centuries, i can't stand her living here with adrian, while i am still here, is it fair to me? what did i do to deserve this?"
"maura, please calm down, everything will come to place"
she walks of with a posture of a warrior, angry yet proud, she sits on a sofa thinking
i walk off the shower and in my bedroom, i see adrian there, i ignore him getting on my clothes with my back turned to him
" i know that me and my brother fighting is not ok, but we still work together somehow, i'm sorry that i didn't come for you before sunrise"
i stand still and lower my head
"it's fine, i just need to know these things"
he comes up to me and hugs me from behind
"this time i will tell you what you need to know,but first let me take care of those wounds"
after he cleaning my wounds and taking care of me, he tells me everything there is to know about vampires, that the sun will burn us, but he and his brother can take it more longer because they are pureblood, crosses garlic and mirrors are all fake, but there are some herbs that are harmful for us and we can also use a power like hypnosis to make people forget what they saw and other things and that only wood in the heart can kills us but for Adrian and Seth only chopping off their heads.
