It was the end of the school day and I walked around the empty hallways aimlessly. Nick ditched school so he and Melissa could fuck all day making me annoyed and alone. I stood in my black tank that was tucked into my black ripped high waisted shorts and all black Nike's.

Since Nick wasn't here it was my job to make deals. Yes, Nick and I are partners in the whole dealing thing. It was actually my idea as Nick isn't smart enough. He would have gotten caught if it wasn't for me.

I walked to the back of the school where I knew most of the stoners hung out to see only two guys and a girl. They must of been who I was meeting. I kept my dark sunglasses on as I made my way towards them. One of the guys wore a dark red beanie, a grey hoodie and converse. The other guy had on a black 'V' neck, skinny jeans and a leather jacket while the girl had on a beanie, leather jacket and booties.

"It's 85." I say, looking around quickly.

"Nick said 50." The guy with the leather jacket says.

"Well I'm saying 85." I state.

The guy with the beanie nods before holding his hand out. I take it, with the bag in my hand, and do one of those bro hugs, taking the money that was in his hand.

"Who's the chick?" I question, nodding towards her. I remember the two boys. I think their names were Jeremy and Tyler. I could be completely wrong though.

"Jaqueline. My girlfriend." Jeremy, I think, the guy in the hoodie, says while pulling her towards him.

"Okay, lover boy. I'm out." I turn and walk around the school. Getting into my Jeep, I drive to Nick's.

When I got to Nick's house I walk in and luckily, Melissa wasn't there so I didn't walk in on anything.

"Did you hear about Cassie?" He questioned as he looked out the window.

"What happened to the Barbie?" I ask and hold out 40 bucks for him to take. He does but looks confused. I only smirk.

He just shakes his head before continuing. "Apparently she was attacked by some dude. Her and Diana used magic to push him away."

"Speaking of magic, have you tried to use it since we bound the circle?" I ask and sit on the edge of his bed.

"If you want, we can make magic together." He suggests making me laugh.

"I tried the sage spell that I use at home but it didn't work."

"Your silencing spell?" Nick asks.

I nod. "I was thinking we could head to the abandoned house to try a few things with the herbs to see if we can get our indie magic back." I say holding up my book of shadows. He nods.

In the car I decide to ask about Melissa again. "So, what happened? I thought you and Melissa were gonna be jumping each other's bones all day."

"We were. Until she asked me to the dance." He says.

"Melissa asked you to the dance?" I ask.

"Don't sound so surprised, Kitty." He shakes his head with a smile.

"Let me guess. You said no."

"She said we were strictly sex. So I told her we were done." Nick says with a shrug.

"You idiot. She likes you. And don't try to tell me you don't like her cause I know you do." I say before parking my car outside of the woods. "Come on."

When we get inside I see Faye and Melissa sitting on the floor, opposite each other. Faye's phone was on the floor in front of Melissa.

"Let's concentrate on it at the exact same time." Faye says. When nothing happens, she speaks again. "Are you concentrating?"
