Faye and I decided to get coffee this morning at The Coffee Press. I wore a black off-the-shoulder top tucked into black high waisted jeans. I paired it with black booties, messy curls, and natural makeup.

As we opened the door and began to walk out I notice Jake walk around us. I laugh slightly making him stop and turn to us.

"You're back." It was more of a statement than a question.

"Had to make sure Adam and Cassie don't get to second base, huh?" Faye asked with a smirk.

"Jealousy isn't a good look on you." Jake tells her making me confused.

"Why would she be jealous?" I ask curiously.

"What? You don't know? Your new bestie didn't tell you?" He questions with a smirk making me stare at them in confusion.

"Tell me what?" I turn to Faye. "What is he talking about?"

"It's nothing, Aria." She grabs my arm. "Let's go."

"No." I pull away. "What is it?"

"Aria-" Faye starts but is interrupted by Jake.

"We slept together." He states. I turn to him shocked.

"Wha-when?" I stammer over my words.

"The night I left." He smirks, cockily. I turn to Faye, asking with my eyes if it was true. She avoided eye contact giving me my answer.

"So that's why you're always acting so weird when he's mentioned. And always jumping to my defense, trying to make it up to me, right?" I conclude. I laugh slightly. "What a great friend." I state before walking away. I stop and turn back to her. "And to think I defended you."

With that I turn and walk towards my car, throwing my full coffee away in a nearby trash can. I pull my phone out of my back pocket and dial Axel's number.

"Babe-"

I cut him off. "You got anymore Devil's Spirit?" I question immediately.

"I don't know... you went through that bag kind of fast." He states.

"Fine. I'll call Callum instead." I'm about to hang up but stop once I hear him tell me to wait. I unlock my Jeep and step inside, not starting it yet.

"Okay, fine. Come by the garage." He says.

"No. I don't want to go there. I don't want to see Faye." I state annoyed, finally twisting the keys in the ignition.

"Okay. I'll send you an address. Meet me there." He huffs out.

I make it to the boathouse where Diana and Ethan, Adam's dad, were throwing a party for the emo boy. I park and dip my finger into the Devil's Spirit and lick it off. I had been doing it the whole ride after meeting with Axel.

When I walk in I see Chinese lanterns hung up all over with people crowding the small building.

I walk over to the guest of honor when I see him. "Adam." I exclaim, pulling him into a hug. "Happy birthday." I smile and giggle rather loudly.

He looks confused. "Thanks, Aria. Are you okay?"

"Never better." I smile while patting his cheek. "You seen Faye?" I question.

"Yeah. She went out back with Melissa." He states.

"Thanks, Emo Ken." I laugh at my terrible nickname and walk out the back, instantly spotting Faye and Melissa. "Faye." I exclaim. I run up to her and her best friend. I pull them both into a group hug. "You guys are like SO pretty." I giggle and pull away.
