I skipped school today and decided to hang at the abandoned house. All weekend I've been pushing myself to get over Jake and forget about everything. I had taken the rest of the witches brew that Nick and I made, but that wasn't enough so I smoked most of my joints. I had my last one lit currently and would need something to replace them.
I wore a black t-shirt dress that was tied in the center, thigh high boots, some necklaces-the crystal included-and my usual hair and makeup; slightly curled and natural.
I blew the smoke out and turned a page of my book of shadows when I heard the sound of footsteps downstairs. Getting up, I placed my book in my bag, swung it over my shoulder and made my way to the railing. I watched Jake and Cassie walk in while talking. I didn't bother listening instead I just analyzed them.
I watched as Cassie ran off and I looked to Jake. He walked to a table full of herbs before looking back and grabbing something from it, stuffing it in his leather jacket pocket. Cassie flips the lights on right as I speak.
"I saw that." I hum, taking a drag of the joint. I start my way down the stairs. "What are you up to? What are you really doing here?"
"I brought him." Cassie says walking back into the room. I shake my head.
"Nope. That's not the Jake everyone knows and hates. The Jake I knew hated this town, he'd never hang around here." I smirk when I get to the bottom and point to his pocket. "But he would steal."
He scoffs while pulling the thing out. "Jasper." I look at the stone and roll my eyes. "It's my family's Stone. I was gonna put it at Nick's grave."
"Don't," I say sternly. "Use him as an excuse."
"Aria. That's enough." Barbie says to me. I turn and glare at her.
"You may have the whole circle wrapped around your finger but not me. You don't tell me what to do."
"This is gonna be a blow to your ego but you don't know me. You never did." Jake states making me scoff.
"We both know that's a lie." I take one last drag from the joint before throwing it to the ground and stomping it out. "I'm the only one that knows you. Even better than you know yourself." I cross my arms. "So this just does my ego wonders."
I turn and walk out of the house making sure to sway my hips with my strides. I was annoyed and I needed to let off some steam. Normally I would do magic but since we're bound I couldn't do that so the next option was to get drunk. Or possibly high.

I went to the boathouse to talk to someone who would listen to me about Jake and smirked when I saw just the person I was looking for. Adam. He was working outside while a bunch of girls giggled and tried talking to him. I scoff at them all.
"Word gets out you're free and they come running." I smirk when I make my way to him. I look at all the girl in disgust before turning back to him.
"What do you want, Aria? I'm busy." He said.
"We need to talk. Privately." I roll my eyes as a girl glares at me.
"If this is your desperate way of asking me to the Galla. The answer's no." He says sarcastically.
"I'm crushed. Truly." I turn and start walking away. "Come on." He follows as I walk down the stairs and lead the way to the waters edge. The only thing separating us from the bay was a short concrete wall. "I think you're right about Jake. He's up to something."
"Is this because he's hanging out around Cassie?" He asks.
"Yes. But hear me out okay. A couple years ago when he and I were together, there was no denying our feelings. Now, all he says is I don't know him and he's changed and stupid shit like that. But I know Jake better than anyone and I'm telling you, joining the circle, spending all this time with us, with her, there's something weird about it." I say.
