I walked into the Java Brew to meet with Faye and Melissa. I wore a black long sleeve body suit under high waisted shorts and a belt. I paired it with thigh high boots and a cute hat. Keeping my hair and makeup natural.

I saw the girls at a table and walked up to them right as Adam arrived. "I forgot to ask you." He directs at Cassie before turning to the rest of us. "All of you, actually." I look at him with furrowed brows. "Do you want to earn some deep appreciation and some money on the side?"

"You lost me at appreciation." Faye takes a drink from her mug.

"The hockey team is having their awards dinner at the boathouse tomorrow and I need extra servers. What do you think?" He looks to Cassie first.

"I'd love to but I'm a little waitressed out." She says. "Thanks though." With that she quickly walks away.

I sit in the chair next to Melissa as Adam pulls out another one and sits in it backwards. "Come on, you guys. Seriously, my dad can't be there and I need some extra hands."

"Is he okay?" Melissa questions quickly.

"My dad? Uhh-I think so. I don't know, he's just been kind of freaked out since Cassie's dad showed up." He pauses. "Yeah, he's actually a mess and I lost a girlfriend, Jake almost died and the witch hunters are more excited about killing us than ever so it's been real fun having Blackwell back from the dead." He explains sarcastically.

"I'll do it." Mel agrees. "Boys hockey team, might be fun."

"I'm not into slave labor." Faye denies.

"It pays ten bucks an hour. Plus a basket of chicken wings." I cringe at the thought of eating chicken. I was vegan. I don't like eating animal products. Whenever I get a coffee I add soy milk.

I scrunch up my features. "Sorry. If chicken is the payment, I'm out." He nods and turns to the last girl.

"15." Faye says for a better price.

"Done." She smiles in victory. "Thank you. I appreciate it." With that, he walks off, leaving just the three of us.

"That poor guy. Cassie can't even be around him." Melissa sympathizes. "It's tragic."

"Tragic was not asking for 20." I speak up looking at the girls making Faye nod and Melissa scoff.

It was the next day and I was on my way to Jake's. I wore a black sheer t-shirt dress with stars on it and black, velvet, high waisted shorts with a black lacy bra under it. I had a black and silver belt tied around my waist and black pumps. My hair was in a top knot and I applied natural makeup.

After I unlock the front door, I walk upstairs to Jake's room but pause when I hear groans and the sound of punching. I hear footsteps behind me and see Cassie rushing up the stairs.

"Come on." She says before we both run to Jake's room.

"Cassie, no." I say when I notice a dark look take over her face.

I feel her energy before the door is forced open and she stomps inside. When we get inside, I see a guy around Jake's age holding him against the wall making me gasp. Cassie uses her dark magic to throw the man across the room.

I step forward with her by my side until I'm standing next to Jake.

"He's a friend." He says.

I scoff. "A friend?"

He marches forward with Cassie behind him. He pulls the man up and shoved him into the computer chair while the blonde holds it still. I step forward to take a closer look at the guy. I feel dark energy and turn to Cassie, sending her a glare while she's turned in a different direction.
