.Jungkook.
"Are you sure you don't want a drink Kookie?" Taehyung raises an eyebrow at me, pouring himself another shot. I would think that he would be drunk enough from the party.
"We're all underage Taehyung. Stop trying to influence him in the wrong direction. And stop calling him that!" It was weird to watch Jiminie hyung snap at Taehyung since it was always the other way around, but I was nice to see that he was finally standing up for himself.
"Isn't he a senior, hyung? He's of age." I mumbled to Jimin. Jimin's eyes shifted between Taehyung and I.
"W-whatever, just don't take any drinks from him, I'm gonna go to the bathroom." He took a final sip of his water and squirmed out of his seat to dash for the restroom. I looked over at Taehyung, scowling as he stared back at me dreamily.
"What are you looking at me for?" I avoided eye contact.
"Don't lie to me Jungkook. You saved my life, that clearly means that you like me." He gloated with a big goofy smile.
"Nuh uh." I shook my head quickly.
"Yuh huh! I knew you cared about me!"
"Just because I didn't want to let you die doesn't mean anything." I sat back in my chair with my arms crossed over my chest.
"That means a whole lot actually. I'll show you. You should sleep over my house tonight, I can tell you alllll about it!" He hyped up, still keeping that big smile.
"As if I'd ever do that." I rolled my eyes.
"Jiminie will be there." He smirked.
"Hey! Who do you think you are?! Only I can call my Jiminie hyung Jiminie!" I outbursted, standing from my chair and making a horrible skid sound across the floor.
"Kookie, sit down. People are lookin-" he reaches to pull my arm and I snatched it away.
"Don't touch me." I sat back down with a huff.
"You two spend a lot of time together, you're so protective over each other. I hope you'll be protective over me like that, once we're da-"
"NEVERRRRR~" I assured very loudly.
"We're in a public place ya know, you're gonna get us kicked out."
"Then stop trying to get with me ya perv, Jiminie hyung says I'm underage!" I threw my hands up for emphasis.
"Well," he leaned back in his chair, taking his newly poured shot with a hooded stare. "At least I know Jimin will protect me since we're tw-"
"-Twenty whole minutes!" Jimin spoke loudly as he quickly approached. "We ordered... our meals 20... minutes ago." He cleared his throat at the pauses as he slowly sat back down.
"Oh hey Jimin, I was just telling Kookie about how we're twin-"
"-TWINNING TODAY!" He shouted again. "I thought our outfits were similar too." He then nervously sipped from his water. "Taehyung, could I um, have a word over there?" He asked, eyes shifting back and forth between mine and Taehyung's eyes. He received a groan before they both left the table to go talk near a plant.
I watched closely to make sure no funny business was going with my Jimin hyung, because he's my best friend. Not Taehyung's. I AM HYUNG'S ONLY BEST FRIEND other than Namjoon and Hoseok hyung BUT THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE TAEHYUNG. HE CAN GO F-
"We're really sorry for the late serving, we had some troubles in the kitchen. Please, enjoy your meal." A waitress set down our food. "Oh wait, weren't there two other men here?" She turned around.
I nodded and shakily pointed to them. She giggled shyly and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"D-do you know if the shorter one is single?" She blushed down at me. She was talking about my hyung!
"NO!" I shouted, standing up with an angrily disturbed expression. Jimin and Taehyung both turned around quickly and started back to me.
"Hey what's going on over here?" Jimin asked, standing in front of the waitress with wide eyes, who was red faced and embarrassed, seeing as we had caught the attention of everyone in the restaurant.
"Were you trying to hit on him?! He's taken, keep looking!" Taehyung snapped, grabbing my hand. I tried to snatch it away but it was firmly held in his grip. I looked up at his face. He looked really upset and offended, and somewhat hurt. I let him hold my hand, but only this one time because he needed it.
"S-sorry, I m-mistook you for someone else. I'm really sorry." She bowed multiple times before scurrying off. She looked familiar somehow, my gaze followed her.
"Damn freshmen." She goes to our school? What's gonna happen when we get back to school tomorrow?
"Jungkook are you okay? Did anything happen? What did she say to you?" Jimin held both of my cheeks, looking over me thoroughly.
"P-please hyung?" I whispered with slightly puckered lips.
"N-not right now Kookie. Later, I promise." He smiled softly, dropping his hands.
"Let's get this food to go, I don't want to eat in a restaurant that openly flirts with their customers." Taehyung frowned, picking up the check and going to the cash register. I felt guilty for making him upset, even though I shouldn't because I don't like him. But still, I wasn't even the one getting flirted with, it was Ji...min...hyung... My gaze snapped to him.
"Everything okay, Kookie?" He asked softly while putting on his coat.
"Can you sleep over my house?" I responded.
"Of course." He nodded and smiled.
.Jimin.
I sent Taehyung off first with the food, after we got a few little bites in that would last us the night, so that Jungkook wouldn't know that we live in the same house now, and I walked home --hand in hand-- with Kookie.
"Okay we're home, now spill what happened." I mumbled into the quiet environment while unzipping his coat for him.
"She was trying to steal my Jimin hyung!" He pouted. "I couldn't stop myself from yelling at her, it was an accident." He stared down ashamedly at his feet.
"Kookie it's okay, I'm not mad that you protected me."
"But she asked if you were single. You're not single. You're with Jungkookie. Y-you can't leave Jungkookie, hyung." He looked into my eyes, tears brimming his own. He hardly ever referred to himself in third person but, from what Namjoon's research has told us, its some sort of head space.
"I'll never leave you, Kookie. Please don't think like that." I slowly brought him into my arms, rubbing soft circles on his back as his warm tears fell onto my neck and shoulder. "Don't cry, you don't need to be afraid Jungkook. Hyung will always be there."
He pulled away a little and I smiled warmly at him, even though it broke me to see him so upset. And all because some girl was hinting that she wanted to date me.
"Better now?" I asked softly. He sniffled as his watery eyes roamed my face. I didn't even notice that his hands weren't holding my waist anymore until they were cupping my cheeks. "J-Jungk-" He brought our lips together, squeezing his eyes shut and letting his tears fall onto my cheeks. My eyes fluttered closed and I let myself sink into the feeling.
This wasn't the comforting peck that we were used to doing to cheer each other up. This was something much much more. Something that I've never experienced before so I couldn't explain it if I tried. All I can say is that... it was passionate. I could feel his pain through the pressure on my lips and I didn't even know that was possible. At one point I could feel his heartbeat through the palms of his hands pressed against my cheeks. Our breathing matched up for a few seconds, and suddenly we were breathing in sync. I felt like I learned something new about Jungkook. Something that I never would have expected to be inside of him.
He loves me.
We're...
Okay.
