If she wanted me to bite her, I knew that was for my wolf's sake. "You're nervous." It wasn't a question. I was sensing it, smelling it.

"Shouldn't I be?" Her question came in a small laugh. "I should see your wolf before we go out there."

I took a deep breath. "Let's...walk before we can run, hmm?"

"Is it that bad?" she asked. "Does he have a gentler side?"

"For you, yes," I answered truthfully. "It's just he's a...a little rough."

"Still would like to...reason with him?"

"This is not the easiest thing. My wolf is part of me, maybe an extension, but a beast--I don't know--" I walked away from her, trying to keep thoughts straight.

"Kyros, you're stalling...I don't believe you or your wolf would hurt me..."

If I let you out, even a little, you've got to be really good, I told my wolf.

Alright, whatever! Can I have her, now?! My wolf was impatient.

"I have the control, then." I said, my voice getting deeper.

"Kyros, what are you talking about?" Lani turned, and gasped. I knew my eyes were completely red, much like they are when I change into a wolf.  "Kyros?"

I smiled, nodding. "Yes?" I watched her gasp again. "You want me, you got me." I watched her blink. She looked like she was trying to process the situation. I mean, didn't she ask for it?!

"So who am I talking to?"

"Does it really matter?"

Lani quirked an eyebrow at that.

I was annoyed. Forget it, no more talking. I leapt from where I stood to her, and grabbed her, rolling her onto the floor in front of the fireplace. She was under me, and I had her wrists in my hands.

Just then, she surprised me and flipped me onto my back. I loosened my grip in confusion and she caught my wrists, our positions reversed. "Now we can talk--"

"Don't wanna talk!" I growled at her. She caught my ear between her teeth, and I groaned. The pain was sweet. I tried to move my head, but she tugged the opposite direction. "Lani--!"

"Be...still." she hissed through her teeth.

I relaxed. "Alright I'll play your way...for now." I went still, and she let go of my ear, but not my wrists. Easy to reverse, but I let her have her little way. When she looked at me I noticed her eyes were a  yellow gold.  It was hard not to be excited. "I'm listening...Luna."

I waited for her to speak, but instead, she kissed me. She licked the insides of my mouth and I hers. We were going back and forth until she sucked on my tongue, making my hips strain upward. I tried to return the favor, but then she moved to my neck. She was sucking, biting, licking...and then, she bit hard, really hard. She almost broke the skin but not quite.

I felt like I was going to burst. Thank the Goddess all I had on was a robe. I shrugged out of it, pulling free of her, and reversed our positions. Before she could react, I opened her robe and put my arm under her lower back so she stayed arched. I kissed her thoroughly, swallowing her surprised cry, and then her moan. I rocked her legs open with my hips as I licked her neck, and she squirmed under me as I ground against her. "Easy...easy...." I gave her a tongue bath, lapping at her and enjoying her cries and gasps. I thought about taking her the way a wolf takes a female, but I enjoyed her face, her breath on my neck, kissing her when I felt like it, her nails raking my back, my skull, and my back again. Yes, another time....

"Kyros!" She cried out as I finally claimed her. I kept moving as she clung to me, panting and breathing, gasping and arching. "Oh, God, oh, God!" I didn't slow or relent, taking her higher and higher until she screamed. She sank her teeth into my neck, blood tickling my skin. I felt a wave of  euphoria as I let go, rocking us hard. Finally, I bit her, my claim complete. She gasped, but clung tighter as we slowed, the sensations coming back and forth between us in waves. I kissed my Luna, feeling sated and full. All I kept thinking was...mine.

"Kyros?" she sounded a little hoarse.

"Huh?" My breathing hadn't completely returned to normal.

She looked at me. "Your eyes are blue again."

"So they are." I chuckled. "A shower this time?" She nodded in agreement. "It's not even dinner time, you know."

"We eat and rest." She stroked my hair.

"So early?" I kissed her palm.

"Yes, I think so."

"What is it?" Something was on her mind.

"Indulge me."

I thought she might be tired from the day's intensity, so I gave in. That night, we laid in bed and and ate from trays. We held each other, snuggled. We just watched TV, and talked. She was quiet, looking around all the time. She also had our packs around our bed.

"You're tense," I cooed to her.

"Uh-huh." she sighed. "I don't like that our safepoint is in the territory of the one wolf who isn't on our side about the changes you are making. What if we run into a trap?"

"Relax," I told her. "That kind of deceit is punishable by death."

"Unless there is a challenge."

My laugh held no humor. "That won't work, I have too many in allegiance." I kissed her temple. "Rest. The challenge begins tomorrow."

"That's right, babe," she whispered, caressing my cheek. "Anytime after midnight, the challenge begins."

I froze. I didn't think of that. I made calls to Asa and Gordon with contingency plans, just in case. Then, right after dinner, we fell asleep.
