Rumours began spreading from one circle of friends to another.
Rumours about me being desperate to get into a relationship anyway.
Garroth has refused to communicate with us whatsoever, and it seems to be stressing Laurence out way too much. I've never seen him so upset in his life.
"this is all my fault," he stammered, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"It's not. How could we have ever predicted something like this?"
"BUT IT IS MY FAULT," he raised his breaking voice, his entire body shaking.
"We've been childhood friends forever Y/N, I've done everything with him. Laughed together, cried together, fell in love with different people together. Now...now he thinks I'm some shitty liar. He's so caught up in his slight obsession over you, he doesn't see that Gene and Ivy lied to him. I'd never do something like that.."
"The saddest part about this is the fact that he actually doesn't believe me...my best friend. Doesn't. Trust. Me."
I remained silent.
Averting my eyes away from the distressed brunette, I noticed something from the corner of my eye.
Ivy had her arm wrapped around Garroth, leaning in closer to his lips.
My eyes widened.
She inched closer to his face.
My mouth was agape.
"Hey, Laurence?"
"What-"
They kissed. Ivy. Kissed. Garroth.
"Oh my Irene..this can't be happening. What the fuc-"
"Laurence!! Calm down-" I grabbed his wrist.
"Why would he kiss that bitch? Is he seriously that air headed- wait."
"What?" I asked.
"I have been wondering for a while why the shadow knights and Ivy would do something like that..and I think I know why."
"Gene wants revenge on me, and Ivy just wants to date Garroth? You think that's the reason, Y/N?"
Everything was beginning to make more sense. Gene must still be pissed about Laurence leaving the shadow knights..so Ivy and him teamed up, for the sole reason to just tear apart everyone's friendship?
I nodded, "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they did that.."
"Tch, we gotta let Garroth know all of this soon. This entire situation is just..ugh,"
Laurence sat down on a seat nearby, his head held down as his leg bopped up and down nervously.
"It'll be fine, Laurence," I smiled reassuringly.
Laurence grabbed my hand, holding it tightly. He still seemed anxious.
"...I hope it will be fine. Let's tell him soon, 'Kay?" Laurence smiled.
Well, that hiatus lasted longer than anticipated. But I'm back! The book will be finishing soon, so I hope you're all excited ^^
