Laurence and I walked towards the park bench. He took a seat first, and beckoned me to sit next to him. I felt blush rise onto my cheeks.

"Hmm, soo..uh, want me to buy some ice cream?" Laurence suggested. I nodded, as he stood up and left.

I felt a bit relieved that he didn't have a chance with Aphmau, yeah, that's a terrible thought to think, but I really did like Laurence.

He soon returned with two vanilla cones. He handed me the one which was sprinkled with hearts.

"H-hearts..?" I blinked in surprise.

"Don't question it," Laurence turned his head away from mine as he sat down.

"Wow, this is really good!" I beamed.

"Yeah, true!" Laurence grinned. "Best ice cream I've had in my life~"

"So...Y/N, Why weren't you in class? You never ditch class unless I ask you too, I didn't know you were a bad girl," Laurence teased.

"Shut up, it doesn't matter," I blushed furiously.

"I told you why I ditched, soo..?"

"Nope! I'll tell you some other time, I promise," I really didn't want to tell him that Garroth and I were being forced to date. I would lose my chance of being with him, and wouldn't that be a bit uncomfortable for him?

A strong gust of wind blew, a large leaf startling me as it hit me directly in the face, causing me to drop my ice cream.

"Pfft, direct hit," Laurence stifled, trying to suppress laughter.

I groaned.

"Here, you can share mine," Laurence offered, holding his out. I stuttered

"Don't worry, I only licked one side," he assured.

I leaned in for some ice cream, our faces just inches apart. I could hear his soft breaths, causing me to tense up. Our heads bumped into each other, I quickly moved back.

"Hey! Momma! Look look! Are they girlfriend and boyfriend?" A small boy asked their mother.

"Hush you, leave them alone," the mother rolled her eyes, taking her son away from us.

I put my hands over my face, covering my red cheeks.

Laurence moved one of my hands away, grasping it with his free hand.

"Pfft, just ignore them," he smiled, trying to play it off cool, but I swore I saw a light pink tinting his cheeks.

I nodded nervously.

We ended up getting to the cone, I was slightly confused on what to do now. Do we share that too?

"You can have the rest," Laurence handed me the rest.

"B-but...it's like we're, uh..." I stammered.

"Indirectly kissing?" He smirked.

"Y-yeah! T-that..." I blushed.

"Geez, then I'll just have it, haha" Laurence tried to take the cone off of me, but I moved it from his reach.

"I-i guess I'll have it..." well, I really did want to have it, I just didn't want to admit it.

Laurence smiled softly, "alright."

We both just sat there for hours, talking and chatting— occasionally walking around. It was honestly so peaceful and relaxing.

We started noticing small rain drops falling, and within seconds it started pouring down hard.

"Under that tree!" Laurence pointed.

We ran under a huge tree, and we were both completely soaked. I held my arms close, cuddling myself, i was freezing. Laurence looked down at me with a concerned look.

"Hmm, are you cold? Laurence asked. I nodded.

He moved in closer towards me, wrapping his arms around me.

"Better?" He asked.

"Mhm," I moved in closer.

We stayed like that until the rain died down. My face was a bright red the whole time too.

Laurence shot his head up, "We should leave,"

"Hmm, why?" I asked.

He grabbed my hand and began walking away. "Gene and his friends are here," Laurence rolled his eyes.

"Oh..I hope they didn't see us like that," I sighed worriedly.

"Hmm, me too, I don't think they did though, so don't panic," Laurence gave me a reassuring grin, making me feel a lot more at ease.  I smiled back.

"I'll walk you to your house- well, near it haha," Laurence asked.

"Sure," I replied.

"Ya know..I had a really fun time hanging out with you. Honestly, being around you always makes me smile. For a while, I forgot about the whole ordeal with Aphmau," Laurence blushed.

"Ahm, I-I'm glad I'm able to brighten your day. Actually, I felt a lot better spending time with you," I stuttered.

Laurence laughed softly, my heart kept thumping, I'm surprised he can't hear it.

We both walked back to my place — well, near it.

Ehh, felt like this chapter is a bit rushed. Something big will be happening soon, get ready ❤️
