Hearing the door shut, Kitty glances at me with wide eyes. Ruffling her hair, I kiss her forehead.

"I'll be back." I say.

Climbing off the bed, I hand Kitty the tv remote and make my way down the stairs. I stop on the final step when I see Bucky sat on the floor, his back leaning against the front door. He looks up at me, then slowly stands up.

"I'm sorry." He mumbles.

I shake my head, stepping off the stairs. I start walking to the kitchen, but feel Bucky wrap his hand around my wrist and force me to stop, to turn around and face him.

Bucky's face has sunk, tear stains down his cheeks and his lip shaking. He slowly kneels down, his hand tight around my wrist.

"I'm being selfish, I shouldn't have shouted and started an argument. I'm just worried that you aren't going to come back. I've lost you once and I don't ever want to loose you again because you mean too much to me. You're my light, you bring me back from the darkness and I'm petrified that if I loose you, then I'll turn back into that assassin and murderer." He admits, tears trickling down his cheeks.

"You aren't going to loose me." I whisper.

Taking Bucky's hand, I kiss his knuckle.

"You don't know that." He argues.

"Bucky...don't start another argument. I'm going to be honest, you scared me then. When you took Kitty and she was screaming, I was scared you were going to take her." I explain.

"I would never take Kitty from you, Ste, because I know how much you love her." Bucky says.

"And I won't die on this mission. You trust me, right?"

I help Bucky onto his feet, by pulling his hands.

"With my life." Bucky agrees.

"I won't die. You won't loose me. I have to do this, you just need to trust me that I can handle this."

"I do trust you." He mumbles.

"That's good." I smile.

I raise my hands, cupping his face in my palms. Leaning forward, I kiss him deeply, pulling him as close as possible.

"I love you Bucky. There's no amount of words to describe how much, but I do. I can't handle you loosing your temper because it scares me, I'm scared you're going to hurt someone and then you're going to feel so guilty that you won't be able to cope." I say.

Bucky nods.

"I'll learn to control it." He suggests.

"Thank you. Now, me and Kitty are going food shopping, you coming?"

"Sure."

Reaching the giant supermarket, I grab a trolley and pull out my list. Handing it to Kitty, she's in charge of crossing off everything we get. Bucky looks at me with a hopeful sparkle in his eyes.

"Yes, you can go to the chocolate aisle, you get £5, Bucky." I agree.

Bucky races off and I lift Kitty into the trolley, she sits with her legs crossed.

"Can get biscuits?" She asks as I grab shower gel.

"Yes, isn't on the list?"

"No."

"Okay. Cross off shower gel. What's next?"

"Kitchen roll."

When we've finished, I push the trolley down the chocolate aisle and find Bucky with sweets piled in his arms.
