Racing down the dark, night road, I pull into the long driveway. It's 4am. I was meant to be home yesterday morning, but I got caught up and the debriefing lasted longer then I expected. On the passenger seat beside me is a blue gift bag, a matching box, a bouquet of red roses and a big box of Bucky's favourite ice cream.

Driving up to the front door, I see a figure sat on the doorstep and I instantly feel guilty. Bucky must have been sat there for ages. He slowly raises his head as I park the car and turn off the engine.

Climbing out, I leave everything in the car and walk around the front to stand in front of Bucky. He slowly stands up, his eyes full of tears and they look up at me hopefully.

"I'm so sor-"

"You're late." He interrupts me.

Suddenly, Bucky wraps his arms tight around my neck and kisses me desperately. He jumps up, locking his angles around my waist as I carry him into the house.

"I'm sorry." I mumble against his lips.

"Stop talking." He orders.

Bucky leans behind him to open the front door. Carrying him inside, our lips never break apart as I close the door behind us and lean my back against it.

"Wait." I order.

Bucky pulls back, his hands resting on the back of my neck. His eyes run over mine in confusion.

"Can I give you your present before we go any further?" I ask.

"Yes!" He exclaims.

I gently lift Bucky off my waist and place him onto the floor. He grumbles and crosses his arms over his chest.

"Go sit in the living room and close your eyes." I order, kissing his forehead.

Racing out of the house, I grab the box of ice cream, the bag and flowers. Wandering back into the house, I walk into the living room to find Bucky sat on the sofa with his eyes closed. Stepping over to him, I kneel down and lie the roses across his knees, hiding the gifts behind my back.

"Open your eyes."

Bucky opens one eye, then the other. He looks down at the flowers and smirks.

"More roses." He comments, glancing at the coffee table where there are two vases filled with roses already.

"And these."

Handing him the others, he grins and places the roses next to him. Bucky opens the blue box and lets out a small yelp when he sees the brand new set of knives inside. Bucky slowly runs his hands across the blade and lifts one up, seeing the engraving of Bucky on the handle.

"Like them?" I ask.

"They're perfect." He whispers.

I can't help but smile at seeing the twinkle in his eyes.

"And, I also got you this."

I hand him the blue gift bag and Bucky places the knives on the floor. He opens it and lifts the present out, he shakes his head but smirks.

"It's a Bucky Bear!" I announce.

He holds it up. It's a pale brown teddy bear, wearing black clothes with straps and foam daggers, he's also wearing a mask over his eyes.

"It's beautiful." He whispers.

Standing up, I lean over him and our lips interlock. Bucky pulls me onto the sofa and into his lap, cupping my face with his hands.

"Bucky, we don't have to do this if you don't want to." I point out, pulling back but leaving my hands on his cheeks.

"I want to. I'm just...Im scared I'm going to hurt you." Bucky admits.
