I craned my neck only to find a huge, open, bloody wound the length of my forearm on my right arm. When I saw it, it only made the pain worse because then I knew how ugly and horrible it looked. Lindsay looked too and I knew she couldn’t stand it so she ran into the kitchen. Someone had already tied something around my arm to slow the blood flow and blood loss.

"That's gonna need stitches or you may loose complete control of that arm." Toby commented.

"That's great." I replied sarcastically, "Do you know how to sew?"

"No but I'm pretty sure I know sort of know how to do it. I'll ask Lindsay if her mom had a sewing kit. Be right back." I could overhear their conversation. "Lindsay, are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm okay. That just upset my stomach a bit."

"Do you have a sewing kit by any chance? The most we can do is stitch Riley's arm back together."

"Oh yeah, my mom kept one in her room. I can go get it."

"Thanks Lindsay." and that was how it ended, not very interesting.

Lindsay came beside me and set down a small, green box. I was leaning against the couch and they came to sit beside me. Toby opened the top and took out a long needle. At least I'm not scared of needles. "What's colour?" Toby asked me "Because there's like 50 different coloured spools of string."

     "How about blue?" I replied.

"What kind? Dark blue? Light blue? Medium..."

"Ok I get it." I interrupted. "Medium blue."

"What kind of medium blue? Light-medium, normal-medium..."

"Please don't go on." That made Lindsay laugh when I interrupted again. "Normal-medium blue. Now please don't tell me there's different normal-medium blues." Lindsay laughed again. I loved hearing her laugh in difficult situations, it always made them seem less difficult.

"Don't worry, that's it." Toby answered as he wetted the end of the blue string on his tongue. Next he put it through the little hole in the end of the needle and tied it in a knot to secure it. He made sure to disinfect everything and clean up as much blood as he could before he began stitching me back together.

Then Toby put the needle into my skin on the bottom-left side and pulled it out the bottom right. He repeated this until he reached the top of the wound. Finally, Toby cut the string and my gash was almost completely sealed back together. He tied it off in 3, tight knots and wrapped it up.
