Part 14- "I Took That As A Yes"

Lindsay’s POV

Day 20- Friday

     The next morning once Toby had left the tent, I crawled over to where Riley was sleeping and cuddled up next to him. I placed my hand on his chest and as soon as I did, his arm wrapped around my upper body.

     A few seconds later, I felt him moving around a bit. I watched his eyes slowly open and scan his surroundings. He lifted his head slightly and looked at my hand before letting his eyes wander to where his arm was around me. As soon as he realized I was there, he set his head back down and I spoke up, "Good morning." and kissed him on the cheek.

     He replied with a simple, "Morning." And a smile appeared on his lips. He lifted his head once again and looked around the tent, I assumed he was looking for Toby.

     “So how do you feel?” I asked him once he set his head back down again.

     “Actually, my leg doesn’t hurt anymore. Guess I just needed some rest.”

     “That’s awesome!” I replied, kissing him on the cheek again.

     "Lindsay, do you...you know...?"

     "No I don't know."

     "You know, like uhh...?" he mumbled.

     "Come on Riley, if it's embarrassing, the sooner you say it, the sooner it'll be over." I comforted.

     "Alright…do you love me?"

Riley’s POV

     She just smiled at me, I took that as a yes. Although she didn’t say it, my mind just wanted to believe she did. Then she kissed me. Then again. And again, but this time longer. She kept one hand on my chest and put the other hand in my hair. Oh I loved this indescribable feeling when she began playing with my hair. I didn't know where to put my hands so I put one on her cheek and just laid my other on the ground. We inched closer and closer until she moved the hand that was on my chest to on my cheek. I then pulled her up against my body and instantly felt all tingly.

     I rolled over so my body was on top of hers. My breath began to get heavy and I couldn’t help but kiss her again.

     That went on for about five minutes until Toby came into the tent with cooked meat.

       "Where'd you find that?" I asked him as I rolled off of Lindsay and we both sat up. I put my arm around her shoulders to keep her from going anywhere.

     "Oh I found a cow wandering around in a field." Toby replied then continued, "So to kill it for meat, I..."

     But Lindsay stopped him right there by holding up her hand, "Please, no more info."

     "Sorry Lindsay. Anyway, eat up. I cooked it in the fire pit we made last night."

     "Thanks Toby." I said to him appreciatively. I think now Toby was probably inferring that we were boyfriend and girlfriend (even though I never exactly asked her yet). I smirked, I dunno why.

     "Hey Lindsay," I said to her, "did you know it's Toby's birthday tomorrow?"

     "Really? Oh yeah! It’s the 20th today!" She replied.

     I decided I'd better get him something, but what?
