Toby’s POV
Lindsay walked me to this place she said she always went to to practice tricks on her bike, scooter, skateboard, or to just be alone. It was an old, abandoned skate park that was very overgrown and covered in graffiti. ‘How did I not know about this place?’ (picture on the side)
She sat down at the top of the bowl and told me to sit next to her. I did. Then she asked me how hunting was. I wondered why but just kept that to myself and answered, "Okay I guess."
"Well that's good." she said.
Then she turned towards me, looked into my eyes…and kissed me! I didn't move closer, but I didn't pull away either. The kiss felt amazing and it was longer than I had expected.
When she pulled away from me, she wrapped her arms around my neck and rested her head on my shoulder.
"You know I still love you right?" I asked her.
"I know." she replied.
After a few minutes of just sitting together, I asked her another question, "Do you still like me?"
It took a few seconds before she answered, "Yes."
"Don't you love Riley though?" I questioned.
Lindsay lifted her head off my shoulder to look at me and say, "No, I don't. I love him as a friend, but not in that way."
Well I sure wasn't expecting that answer. So I looked into her eyes and asked a question without thinking, "Will you be my girlfriend? We don't have to tell Riley."
‘Wait?! What did I just ask?!’
