"Ready for the greatest road trip of your life?" Will grinned, helping me put my stuff in the boot of his car.

"It's just going to be you singing along to the radio and forcing me to join in, isn't it?" I raised an eyebrow at him, and he held his hands up.

"You got me."

We got into the car and he turned the radio on after buckling his seatbelt.

"Can I at least choose the station?"

"I guess. Won't stop me from singing along though"

I fiddled with the radio until I found a station playing throwback songs, which I could bare to listen to Will sing.

His face lit up.

"I actually love you Cas. You know me so well,"

"Love you too, Will," I laughed. I sat back in my seat and closed my eyes as my ears were filled with Will's singing for the entire journey.

"Cas?" I heard Will whisper, and I was gently shaked. I began to stir, mumbling incoherently. "Cas, we're here."

I slowly opened my eyes and peered out of the window to see the house i had loved so much as a child. We were parked by the curb we had so often sat on together on those summer days.

"It's just as I remember," I muttered tiredly, and Will smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Ready to get our stuff from the boot?" he said, unbuckling himself and myself.  I nodded and got out as he did, walking around to the boot and grabbing my suitcase and bag.

As I peered at the house and the living room window facing us, my heart raced. I was nervous. I hadn't seen Will's parents in so long. Would they still like me? Would they hate me for what I did to Will?

The front door burst open and Will's mum came running to me. She engulfed me in a giant hug, and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Oh, Cas! I haven't seen you in so long! You're so beautiful, you've aged so well!" she sounded like she was on the edge of tears. I, however, was crying. I couldn't remember the last time any parental figure was so lovely to me.

"What about me, mam? You know, your son?" Will joked, and his mum and I let go of each other. She was crying too. We wiped our eyes and she playfully rolled her eyes, giving a chuckle.

"Yes, yes Will, I haven't forgotten about you," she hugged him too, and Will's dad and I shared a hug.

I felt so warm inside. It was soothing my soul like a hot mug of soup on a cold winters day.

"Right, we've got some hot stew in the slow cooker ready for you two with some episodes of Family Fortunes on the telly ready," his mum smiled, and Will and I walked in after his parents.

I was instantly hit with the aroma of the beef stew I had craved since 2003. My mouth was almost watering and my stomach sounded like a whale. Will gently took my hand and walked with me to the kitchen, where he got two bowls out, as well as some tiger bloom bread and butter.

"Mind buttering us some pieces while I sort the stew out?" he asked, taking the lid off of the slow cooker.

I could've eaten it out of the slow cooker, I swear to God.

I nodded and buttered us 3 pieces each as I knew how much we loved buttered bread with stew. We'd likely come back for more. Then, using my incredible skills, I located the trays and got two for us.

Will put the bowls onto the tray and smiled at the smell, as I was doing. I gently placed the bread next to the bowls and Will got us both pint glasses of cider.

I followed him into the living room and we sat together. He kissed my forehead gently before tucking into the stew, and I soon did the same.

"Is it alright, you two?" his mum asked. I couldn't help but smile again.

"It's heavenly, thank you," I said as Will said "It's amazing, mam." She nodded in response with a grin on her face and unpaused the TV. Will and I both had our stew and watched our favourite childhood TV show.

Could life honestly have gotten any better?
