"Cas?" Will groaned quietly, gently nudging me. I woke up slightly disorientated, only to soon realise I was in Will's bed. "Is that your phone?"
My phone was vibrating on the bedside table. Confused, I picked my phone up.
"It's Alex, I'll take it outside," I whispered. I answered and walked out of the room.
"Hey, Alex? It's 2:30. What do you want?" I slowly made my way downstairs and sat on the doorstep by their backdoor, shutting the door behind me.
"Cas...Cas I have to tell you something," he was slurring slightly.
"Are you drunk, Alex?"
"No, no. Honestly, I've not had much. I promise you I'm not proper drunk," he sounded serious, which made me concerned.
"Well what's wrong?" I put my head in my hands and breathed out, looking at the condensation as it left my mouth. Considering it was April, it was really cold still.
"I fucking love you, Cas. The thought of you with Will right now? Meeting his parents? It breaks my fucking heart," he had began to cry. I was absolutely speechless.
Of course, I had mild feelings for Alex, but how I felt for Will trumped that ten times over.
"Alex, I think you need to go to bed. We can talk about this when I get back, yeah?" my voice was shaking, partly from the cold, but also from the shock.
"Oh...okay...promise?" he almost begged.
"Of course. I promise you, Alex. I'll be back Monday, okay?"
"Okay. Goodnight, Cas,"
"Goodnight, Alex."
I sighed. I didn't want to hurt Alex. I just didn't know what to do.
Almost defeated, I went back up to bed and laid beside Will.
"What did he want?" he muttered tiredly.
"Help with some work, he couldn't sleep so he was doing it," I lied smoothly. Will nodded slightly and fell back asleep.
But I couldn't sleep a wink.

As soon as it hit 7am, I was in the shower. I hadn't slept all night, leaving me irritable and cranky, but I was hoping that a nice shower could soothe me.
Will had also had a restless night. No doubt he'd be irritable and cranky too. I just hoped we wouldn't argue or clash. Especially in front of his parents.
"Cas, how much longer are you gonna be?" he groaned against the bathroom door.
"I've been in here 3 minutes, Will. Give me some time,"
"Just hurry up."
I sighed and finished in the shower after rinsing the shampoo out of my hair. Wrapping a white towel around me, I unlocked the door and went to Will's bedroom. We said nothing as we passed eachother.
A little later, we both went downstairs for breakfast. On the table were plates of bacon, eggs, hash browns, you name it.
"Will," I whispered.
"Yeah?"
"I'm not hungry, what should I say?"
"Of course you wouldn't be hungry,"
"What's that meant to mean?"
"Let's talk outside, Cas."
We both smiled politely at his mum, with Will muttering a quiet 'back soon, mam' as we walked out of the backdoor.
"What is your problem?" I yelled quietly. He rolled his eyes.
"My mam went to all this trouble and you're not even hungry? Bit selfish that,"
"Oh fuck off, Will," I groaned. "It's not my fault I'm not hungry."
He sighed and put his head in his hands.
"Just tell my mam you're feeling sick, we're going after breakfast anyway,"
I nodded in response and walked back in.
"I'm really sorry but I'm feeling quite sick," I said to his mum, who smiled at me.
"It's okay, Cas. I'll pack you some for the road," she got up and got a plate, loading it up with everything on the table that she had somehow remember I liked from when I was younger.
Will got a plate and scoffed his breakfast, then came the time to say goodbye.
I hugged Will's mum tightly, sad to leave. She hugged me back tighter.
"Promise you'll come back soon? We've missed you, little Cas," she gently kissed my forehead.
"Promise," I said back with a smile. I hadn't felt this kind of parental affection in so long.
I then hugged his dad, who was also smiling.
"I'm gonna miss you, Cas. I'm looking forward for when you next come down."Will hugged both of his parents and we left, bags in hand. I glared at him as I put my bags in the boot and walked around to the front. He rolled his eyes.
"Did you fucking move my seat forward?" I groaned, adjusting it.
"I haven't been in the fucking car, Cas," he belted himself in and started the engine.
"Just look happy for your parents," I said through a smile with gritted teeth as I waved at the two figures in the doorway. He followed suit.
As the car drove off, I just felt angry and sad. Why was Will being such a prick? Why was I being such a prick?
I guess we were just tired. Thanks, Alex.
