21. Soaring

27/04/18 - 1 year, 3 weeks, 6 days a/ b (after breakup)

I collapsed in bed, beside Will. Euphoria filled my body. Everything was perfect. Nothing could ruin it.

I turned to face him, and he had a goofy, cute grin on his face. He was a little drunk, but maybe I was too.

"What're you looking at?" I asked, slowly reaching for his hand and entwining our fingers. His eyes creased slightly as his smile really touched his eyes. His gaze, soft and happy, blessed my features and lingered.

"You. God, I can't stop looking at you," I felt my cheeks go red. "You're so perfect, Cas. You know that, yeah?"

I just buried my head into his chest, revelling in his warmth and the faint smell of his - outdoorsy, like pine or something. Something like trees. I couldn't say I prided myself on my apparent extensive tree knowledge.

"God, I fucking adore you," he mumbled into my hair, seemingly tired.

"I fucking adore you too," I whispered, feeling my heart burst in my chest. He moved slightly, so that his gorgeous eyes were in line with mine, and slowly stroked my cheek, not stopping the eye contact.

"You're perfect. How can you be so perfect?" he mumbled, almost silently, and seemingly in awe. I closed my eyes as his thumb stroked my cheek.

"Stay the night," I whispered, my eyes still closed. He mumbled a yes, kissing my forehead tenderly.

He slowly laid down properly, and I followed. We fit together so perfectly; two pieces of the most perfect puzzle to exist.

"Night, Cas. I love you," he whispered, tired. I just cuddled into his warm chest, smiling.

"I love you too, Will."

sorry for the extreme lack of uploads, felt i owed you all something so here u go! i have 4 exams left, then next tuesday the schedule will return to normal.
