once Richie was out of sight, i bolted home.
i ran straight to my own room and shut it slowly.
i slid down on the wall and cried, grabbing my hair. everything hurt. especially my heart.
i needed something to take it out on....
my mind went to cutting myself but i forced myself not to, yet i was very tempted.
i was so mad and heartbroken. it felt like all this stress and pressure was just weighing down on me.
i grabbed my hair even tighter.
i felt as my nails imprinted my scalp.
part of me still loved and needed Richie, but i was too mad and devastated.
i wanted to run back to him, but that would make me look weak.
"y/n?" a voice said.
Richie? i hoped
instead my best friend, Beverly, cape rushing into my room.
she took one look at me, and ran over.
"y/n! stop grabbing your hair! you're hurting yourself"
i couldn't talk still, i just whimpered and loosened my grip.
Beverly embraced me in a hug, "god, you're a mess, what happened?"
i swallowed, then told her everything.
her face dropped, into a sorrowful look.
"y/n, i'm so sorry. is there anything i can do?"
"ca-can you just... hold me"
she nodded, lifting me up onto my bed, and held my body and i cried quietly.
she stroked my hair and whispered good things into my ear.
"it's gonna be okay y/n"
"it's gonna be okay"

(a year later - third person)
bit by bit it got better for y/n, she still missed Richie. she hadn't seen him since the day she found out he cheated.
y/n assumed Richie moved on from her...
but he didn't.
he never moved on.
he actually kicked out that girl he cheated on y/n with.

(your pov)
"uhm... a venti pink drink for Mary?" i read the drink in my hands.
a middle aged woman came up to me and i handed it to her, she thanked me.
i smiled and told her, "you're welcome" and she walked away.
i received the next drink to hand out, "a caramel latte and a coffee cake for....."
i stopped in the middle of the sentence.
i couldn't process anything now.
"for.... Richie"
i looked up at that exact boy walking over to me, he was looking down and hasn't noticed me yet.
he finally looked up once he took his things.
i couldn't really describe what his face was showing.
like a sad, shocked, confused and guilty look.
i looked to the side awkwardly, "uhm hi"
"hey y/n"
i turned to walk away but he stopped me, "can we talk? please"
"there's nothing really to talk about" i told him, heating up a cookie for the next customer.
"y/n."
"what?"
"please"
"i have to work Richie"
"it'll be quick, i swear"
i shook my head slowly.
"y/n. please. it'll just be this one time, and if you still don't forgive me, then i i'll leave you alone. alright?"
i sighed.
i honestly didn't really want him to leave me alone.
"fine" i said.
he lead me out to the back of the building.
"i......" he started
"...well?"
"i don't know what to say honestly, just that i miss you. i need you. i love you. i love you so.. goddamn much! and i'm so so SO sorry. i don't know what to do to forgive you" Richie said, bowing his head.
seconds later, i heard sniffles coming from him.
i took my fingers and lifted his chin up, revealing a crying Richie.
"i'm-i'm... s-so- so sor-sorry"
i just kept looking down at him.
"what can i do for you to forgive me?"
"i'll do anything! anything" he begged, practically getting down on his knees.
i just chuckled and helped him up.
then, i gave him a quick peck on the lips when he wasn't expecting it.
when i pulled back, he looked shocked.
i giggled.
his face finally softened, "there's gotta be something i can do for you"
"....."

a/n: part tree maybe? also what would you want Richie to do for you?

(pls answer i need ideas)
