Your POV
you crawled into bed. your parents were out of town and your whole house was so silent that you could hear your own breathes.
time passed and you fell asleep.
you awoke to your clock going
tick tock
you looked over drowsily at the alarm clock beside you. it read 3:49am.
but then you realized...
that was your only clock.
then where was the tick tocking one coming from?
you looked around your room, the noise grew louder.
tick.
tock.
TICK.
TOCK.
sweat began to line your forehead, you were sitting up straight.
"m-mom?" you called, knowing she wasn't there. your feet hit the cold floor as you looked into the hallway.
it was just dark.
BANG!
you didn't dare turn around, you ran into the darkness, throwing out your hands while looking for a doorknob.
panic raised in you and you started to cry. your hands finally found the knob. you twisted it shakily and ran out the door and out into the streets of Derry.
just a few street lamps lit the sidewalks, you couldn't see much.
but you could see, a figure wobbling toward you.
you gulped and stepped back.
it stopped in its track as if it saw you.
then, it started to bolt toward you.
you screamed and you started to run.
but before you could get far, something cold took your wrist.
"NO!!" you screamed, squeezing your eyes shut.
"Y/n! it's me, Richie!" a familiar voice said.
you opened your eyes and relief rushed over you.
"what happened? you look ghastly." he looked concerned.
"s-something's happening in my house." you whispered.
Richie chuckled, "are your parents at it again?"
you gave him a blank look, and he got the message and shut up.
"there was this noise, and it grew... and then something jumped in my room b-behind me. i... i don't know... what..." you stuttered.
"shh. it's alright. just calm down, you sound like Bill." he reassured. inside, Richie knew exactly what had happened.
"look, how about we just go to my house. you might be safer there."
you shivered, "okay."
