Stay Away From Me || Tsukishima Kei X Reader

You watch everyone practice, everyone's movement, the way they move, their steps, their breathing, everything.  You notice how Kageyama and Hinata's quick attack were better than the last time you saw them do it. 

This made you remember when you told your father about how you decided to help the boy's volleyball team. You remembered the small he had on his face, how happy he was to know that you were starting to move on little by little. 

Little by little you were able to show how to play volleyball but one thing was still not alright with you. You were not okay in playing a match. You can do it anymore, it just frightens you.

"(Name)?" the captain says your name as he snap you out of your toughts.

"Yes?"

"Can you spike?" he asked.

"Uh, yes I can but I haven't spiked in years tho," you tell him.

"It's alright, I would like to try to receive and can you tell me if there is something I should ameliorate," Daichi ask of you.

"Alright, but I'm going to need a setter," You tell him.

"I don't mind setting for you," Sugawara joins in.

You nod.

All three of you walked to the net. You backed up, "Hinata, Yamaguchi and Tsukishima, I want you guys to also receive, you need the practice, you guys were to ever have a practice match or play in the inter-high premiums then you're going to need to know how to receive properly or else they'll just target you. Better yet, let's get everyone on the court" you tell them.

"Do you even think that she can jump and smack a ball?" Tsukishima says with a small laugh.

You ignored what he said, "This is what I want to try, you all get into a line, one by one will try to receive the spike that will be going your way," you explain to them.

"This is going to be too easy. I feel like I might actually receive it," Tsukishima makes another comment.

You didn't say anything to his comment because you knew that's what he wanted from you. You showed no expression or anything, "Daichi you want to go first?" you ask.

"Yes," he says as he moves up to the middle of the court. Everyone else moved to the sideline.

"Kiyoko, can you throw the ball to Sugawara so he can toss it to me if it's not too much trouble?" you ask.

Kiyoko nods and runs up to the court.

"You ready Daichi?" you ask.

"Yes! Don't hold back," Daichi ask.

You nod at Kyoko, letting her know to throw the ball up into the air so that Sugawara can toss it. Sugawara tosses the ball and you run and jump. You jump high, even higher than Hinata and everyone was surprised by it. You then spiked the ball, you didn't hold back as Daichi said but again, it has been years you haven't played.

You didn't spike properly, you hit it with your four fingers which hurts a lot but Daichi wasn't able to get it so it's alright.

"(Name), are you okay?" Sugawara notice.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I just haven't spiked a ball in years," you explain to them.

"Whoa! How did you do that (Name)!?" Hinata asks.

"Do what?" you ask.

"You jumped really high!" Yamaguchi says.

"Even higher than the Hinata!" Tanaka says.
