Luke's (POV)

"Luke has a girlfriend! Luke has a girlfr-"

"Guys stop." I say annoyance. "Lola isn't my girlfriend."

"Yet" Ashton laughed.

"Do you even know where you're taking her?" Calum asks from across the room.

"No, but I was thinking about taking her to the fair, just a few minutes out of town or the movies."

"Nah. Take her to the fair, the movies is too cliche." Ashton says.

"So is the fair and we still need to meet her and her friend with the colored hair." Michael added.

"Ok then I'll just take her to the fair, only because I've never really been to a fair. Also, I'll ask her if she wants to meet you guys." The fair should be good enough.

Right?

Lola's (POV)

"Is it weird that I'm excited for your date?"

"No, I don't think so, since you were blabbing about it in the car heading to the mall and back." I take my eyes off the tv, looking over to her.

"Ok. Oh my god, what if he makes the first move on kissing you?" She says not taking her eyes off the tv screen.

"Ok you know what?" I take the remote from her hands, pausing the movie, she looks over at me.

"I'm going to go get ready and you my dear" I climb off the bed. "you need to take a nap. So just relax."

"But I wanted to help you out getting ready" She whines and started giving me the puppy eyes.

"No" I said sternly and she sighs. "Fine. I'll take a nap" and she does so.

I go straight to the bathroom to change. Before leaving the mall, Sarah insisted on buying me a set of clothes for my date with Luke. Maybe Luke isn't like everyone else.

Maybe

When I finish, I look at myself in the mirror and the outfit doesn't look bad on me. I'm wearing dark blue skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, black combat boots and a leather jacket with spikes on my upper back. I decide to do a side braid. I add a bit of eyeliner and to finish it off, I add mascara. I don't really like to wear makeup at all. Makeup makes hides who you really are. I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.

Before I left Sarah's room, I left a note for her. I'm sure she'll find it. When I got outside, Luke was waiting for me in a black Range Rover. I opened the door and climbed in.

"Hey" He says smiling.

"Hi" I smiled back, this time it's a real smile.

"So where are you taking me?" I ask.

"That is a secret." He tells me while backing out of Sarah's driveway. The ride to the unknown location was pretty much silence. He wasn't talking and neither was I. After a while he puts on music. Not this again.

I mean he's heard me sing before but it was only a few words.

"Do you like Blink-182?" He asks.

"Yea. Why?"

Instead of answering, he puts Blink-182's Enema of the State CD. He starts singing to Dumpweed and looking over at me.

"I know you can sing Lola. I've heard you before in the woods. You're really good."

"So I've been told." I whisper to myself but was loud enough that he heard me.

"Just sing please. Just one song." He pleaded.

"Okay. Just one."

"Great" He grins and changes the song to The Edge by Tonight Alive.

You said you'd stay, I said I'd wait

All those words we spoke in vain

Luke starts singing along with the song. He grins, looks over at me; I just sigh and start to sing too.

I still recall the bitter taste

I guess some things never change

And then I think of yesterday

And every promise that you made

I never thought I'd be

The one that you would break

But I will fight until the day the world stops turning

And they will fall to ashes, I will just keep burning

But tonight I need you to save me

I'm too close to breaking, I see the light

I am standing on the edge of my life

Standing on the edge

The whole entire time I was looking out the window but I could feel Luke's eyes glued on me.

"Do you ever wonder what you're going to do after high school?" Luke says not taking his eyes off the road.

"I've never really thought about it. Why?"

"My band and I are going on tour next year and we're looking for an opening act and so I'm thinking about you?"

I look over at him, nodding my head. "I can't"

"Why not? You'll be 18 and can do pretty much whatever you want." He says "You're also a great singer too." He adds in

"I have stage fright and- and" I pause and look out the window.

"People wouldn't like me" I say

"Sure they will. Your great. Plus, I can help you with that stage fright." I look over at him.

"You would really do that?"

"If it means we get to spend more time together next year, then yes." He gives me a smile. Gosh, he has the cutest smile ever.

I look out the window once again to see a ferris wheel and other bright lights.

"Are we going to the fair?" I ask Luke. He smirks at me.

"Yep" He parks the Range Rover in the parking lot and we climb out.

The fair is enormous.

"So what do you want to do first?"

"I don't know."

"Okay then lets do a bet. If I win all the games, I get to choose where to take you on our next date, but if you win, you get to choose."

"Who said anything about a second date?" I cross my arms.

"Or this can be the only date?" He says quickly. I chuckle.

"Whats so funny?"

"I was joking around. It all depends if this date goes well and your so on."

"Then let the games begin." He says and we run to the first game.
