"Dmitry, when can you come over?" I held my phone up to my ear, as I gripped the girl's hair in my hand. "I'm not sure princess, you know I'm always busy." She groaned and I had a feeling she rolled her eyes. "But it's my birthday, you NEVER miss my birthday." I bit my lip and chuckled. "It's yours AND Aylina's birthday Gianna, and besides you're turning 16 it's not a--------- FUCK!" I exploded in the girl's mouth. and fell back on the bed. I sighed, and ran my fingers through my hair. "I'll be there princess. Let Aylina know I'm on my way."

"I knew you couldn't say no to me! I have mom's charm." I smiled a sad smile. "I'll see you later." I hung up the phone, and stood up.

"Another one of your girlfriends?" I rolled my eyes, and looked back at her. "What does it matter, you just sucked me off, that is it. I don't do relationships. Ever." I threw my clothes back on , and grabbed my phone and keys. "Call me when you want to suck me again." I winked at her, and left. I got in my car, and sped over to my Dad's place.

I got out, and walked in the house. I rarely come here anymore. With mom gone, the whole atmosphere in here is dull and lifeless. "D you made it!" Gianna ran up to me, and hugged me. "I told you I would princess." Aylina came in the room and saw me. "D, dad's doing it again. Can you talk to him please?" I ran my hand down my face. "Where are Kaiden and Camden?" The girls looked at each other. "I'd advise you not to go in the basement." They both ran off, leaving me alone. I sighed, and went up to my father's office. He sat there with tears in his eyes, staring at mom's picture. I sighed, and walked in his office fully.

I cleared my throat. He looked up at me. "You're scaring the girls with this ghostly thing you've got going on here." I miss my mother too, but I never show it on my face. "She's not dead. She just isn't."

"She's dead! She's dead and isn't coming back!" I stormed out of his office, and out of the house. I got in my car, and sped off. I don't know where I was going, but I ended up back at the cafe. I got out, and walked in, plopping down at the counter, letting my head fall into my hands. "Are you okay?" I looked up at her, and instantly calmed down. What the hell? I cleared my throat. "Yeah, yeah I'm good." She just stared at me. "No you're not. I can see it in your eyes." I sighed. I hate those who pry. "Really, I'm fine." I looked away from her mesmerizing eyes. I felt her hand touch my cheek. I flinched, probably scaring her. "I-I'm sorry I-I." I held my hand up. "No need to apologize, I just-- I have a lot going on right now and I wasn't expecting that." I don't know why, but I felt like I know her. "Can I get you anything?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "I'll take a hot chocolate." She nodded, and went to make my drink.

My mother evaded my thoughts. I had just turned 10 when she died. Haydin sat the drink in front of me. "Thank you." She nodded, and went to take care of another customer. I watched her every movement. She moved gracefully around the counter.

"Mommy Haydin and I got married in the backyard today!" I shook my head.

"What the fuck?" She looked over at me. I took out money, and paid for my drink before getting up and rushing out. I grabbed my hair in frustration as I got in the car and sped off to God knows where.

HAYDIN

I watched him speed off from the lot. No, it can't be him I thought. He can't be that little boy I was inseparable from when I was growing up. "Haydin you're good for the day. Go home, rest up." I took my apron off, and hung it up on the door. "Are you sure you don't need me to stay for the next shift?" Mildred looked at me. "Sweetie, go home. You're off the next 2 days. Relax." I smiled at her, and walked out. I didn't live far from my home, so walking is easier than just driving 10 minutes down the way.

I felt as if someone was watching me or worse, following me. I decided to speed up my walking. The footsteps started getting faster and heavier. My heart pounded in my chest as I broke out into a run. I didn't dare look back. I tripped and twisted my ankle. "Dammit!" I felt a set of hands pick me up. "Any idea why you're running from me cara mia?" Dmitry stood in front of me in all his glory. God this man just doesn't know what he's done to me. "I-I.. I thought someone was after me." He raised an eyebrow. "Why would anyone be after you?" He looked up to the person who was holding my arm which I'd assume is a friend of his. "I don't know..."

"We need to get her ankle looked at, it might be swelling." I could feel pain shooting up my leg. I don't do well with pain at all. My eyes fluttered shut and my body went limp. "Haydin!"—————————————————————————I woke up to the feeling of my foot being touched. "It's just a sprain but she needs to stay off of it." Dmitry looked at the doctor in frustration. "She's a model how is she to stay off of it? Cazzo!" I cleared my throat and all eyes were on me. "What happened?" Dmitry looked at the doctor. "Well, it's only a sprain, so you'll be on crutches for a while which means no walking on it, no running and no modeling." I dropped my jaw. "You do realize my manager will KILL me if I'm not modeling right?"

"Dacci un minuto da solo." The doctor nodded, and walked out. Dmitry grabbed a bandage wrap, and started wrapping my ankle. "Where'd you learn how to do that?" He clipped a pin to keep it wrapped. "My mom taught me. Ragazzo maldestro goffo she always said. Clumsy clumsy boy you, then she showed me how to wrap sore ankles. My brother Camden was always the one we had to bandage up when we were younger." He smiled at the memory. "Where is your mom?" His smile faded. "She's dead..." He looked away from me. "What happened...." He looked back at me. "She was murdered 8 years ago." He looked down. My heart shattered. "I'm s--------,"

"Don't be sorry. She will be avenged, even if I have to die doing it." This man screamed DANGER, but I couldn't help but want to be in his presence. "Let's get you home." He picked me up bridal style, and carried me out to a car. He slid me in, and got in himself. "I live over on———-."

He looked at me. "I know." He put the car in drive and headed to my house. I should be scared taking a ride from a man I just met, but part of me trusts him with my life. I looked over at him, watching him.

"Stai fissando," He looked over at me, catching me. I looked down, and felt a blush rise to my cheeks. "Now you wanna tell me why you were running away from me?" He raised an eyebrow. "I told you, I thought I was being chased. I was wrong." I ran my fingers through my hair. He pulled up to my house, and parked the car. My mom's car was parked in the driveway. "Ah actually, you can just leave me here. I've got it from here." He just looked at me, and got out of the car. He came around to my side, and picked me up out of the car. "No really it-it's fine." he continued to ignore my protest. He set me down on the porch. "Why are you so against me bringing you to your house?" I sighed. "My erratic mother will freak out about my ankle, and the fact that a man carried me." He stifled a laugh. "Well, I'll leave you to it then," he took my hand in his, and kissed the back.

"Fino alla prossima volta il mio amore." He walked away, and got in his car, driving away. I faced the door, and limped in the house. "Haydin Samara Strauss who was that man that brought you home!?"
