Franks POV
I don't think Gerard truly understands what I saw across our street. He saw it as a girl who simply has fallen on the ground and bursted into tears, and since I am "too caring", according to him, I ran out to help. That is not even close to the description I saw, or what happened.
When I heard her first cry when we were with Mikey and Ray, I immediately got worried (cause hey, I'm "too caring"). The second time, I knew at that moment it was her. The thing that freaked me out the most the second time was that it was a different kind of cry. The first was probably out of sadness and grief. This second one... it was sharp, piercing. Not like a screaming murder, or a girl at a boy band concert, but as if she was scared. It felt like a needle got pushed into my heart and filled me with anxiety and heavy tension, even Gerard felt it. As I looked out the window, I spotted her, she was on the ground. You can tell she was having a hard time breathing. She tried keeping herself up on the small suitcase she had with her, then she grabbed a hold of her arm, and collapsed. Like trying to skip a big rock across a river bank, right when she hit the ground, she stayed there. Not able to come back up. I ripped the door open and sprinted towards her. As I got closer, I saw that it was a teenage girl! She was soaked from the rain, but despite that, I still clearly saw all of the tears coming down her pale face. Blood was streaming down her arm, her hand applying pressure to what seemed to be a pretty big wound. I kneeled next to her, yelling if she was okay, but she didn't respond. She just looked up at me, with frightened but beautiful hazel eyes, trying to control her breaths that keep getting shorter and shorter. I yelled for Gerard, but he just stood at the doorway, like a deer caught in headlights. I picked her up and moved as fast as I could, without slipping, to get her into our house.
"DON'T JUST STAND THERE!! GET THE FIRST AID KIT! NOW!!!" I scream at him, and he finally moves out of the doorway and sprints to go find our kit upstairs with a frightened look in his face.
I finally get inside, with her in my arms. I kick the door shut, and lay her down on our couch. Her face is pale from crying so much, and I start to examine her. I push back her wet bangs that were stuck to her face to see a small gash on her forehead. I then get to her arm, I try to gently move her hand from her arm, but she tenses up.
"Does it hurt?" I ask. She looks up at me, and shakes her head. Her eyes were of the most beautiful color of hazel. They weren't like mine, which were more on the brown side. Her eyes were pure green around the outside, and as it went in towards her pupil, it blended in with a light brown. They were so unique, I couldn't stop admiring.
"I FOUND IT!" Gerard yells from upstairs. I see him running down the stairs when he slips on the third to last step and almost falls, but catches himself on the bannister with his free hand. He races towards the couch and kneels right beside me. She looks down towards her legs, looking scared.
"Don't be scared. You can trust him." I say gently to her.
"Him? Wait, shouldn't you say both of us? She doesn't even know us." Gerard states.
Ignoring Gerard's comment, I ask her, "Do you trust me?" I placed my hand on top of her's that was covering her arm. She looks at my hand, then back at me. "Do you trust me?" I repeat. She nods her head.
"Okay. Now I really need you to move your hand so I can check what's underneath and I can help it heal." She quickly shakes her head. "Please. I want to help you. We both do." I keep eye contact with her with my hand on hers, and I move my other hand and place it on Gerard's leg, and tighten my grip, showing that I am really scared. A few short moments later, I feel his smooth, soft skin drag against the back on my hand, and interlocks his fingers with mine. "Please." I cracked. Shit. I cracked, now this girl knows I'm all rattled. She ponders for a few moments, then nods her head slowly and carefully moves her hand away from her arm.
I hear Gerard gasp out loud and he tries to grip my hand tighter, but I pull away. As I open the first aid kit, Gerard placed his hand on my knee, but I pushed it away and quickly got to work. There were deep cuts all over her forearm and a gash at least 3 times bigger and deeper then the one on her forehead that was still continuously bleeding. "Gerard, get old rags from upstairs cabinet. Now!" I commanded without even looking at him. Gerard swiftly got up and went up the stairs, without tripping, thank god. I dig through the kit and found along with my rubber gloves, medical disinfecting alcohol, and a huge roll of bandages.
"HURRY GERARD!" I screamed up at Gerard. My voice was super shaky and I was trying to keep my body from trembling. I applied pressure to the biggest gash, hoping the bleeding would slow down enough that I can stop the other cuts from bleeding. I don't know how long she has been bleeding, but I'm shocked that she hasn't passed out from it. The girl looked at me with a really worried look in her eyes. "You're going to be okay, alright?" I said as calmly as possible. She nodded her head. I got to know this girl's name if I even want her to full on trust us. She says she trusts me, which is remarkable, due to her meeting me like what, 7 minutes ago?
"Whats your name?" I asked.
She opened her mouth, like she was about to speak, but she heard Gerard running down the stairs, and slowly closed her mouth. Damn Gerard. He quickly placed all of the rags next to me. I didn't even know we had that many rags in our house. Stop worrying about rags Frank. I got back to reality when Gerard placed his hand on my shoulder.
"What do you want me to do?" he asked.
"Kneel down and help me hold her arm down."
Her whole face turned white as Gerard approached her, whiter then Mikey... don't tell Gee I said that.
Her eyes started to tear up and it made my heart sink to my stomach. "This is going to hurt. But the faster I do it, the faster it will be over. Okay?"
She shot a glance of fear at Gerard. Gerard with his free hand, grabbed hers and gave it a good squeeze and held it against his chest. She looked back at me and nodded.
"Okay, ready? 1...2....3"
