It's been two hours since the hunter exam began." What the hell was I thinking. You got to be a monster to pass the hunter exam." Said Leorio. "Hey! Wait up kid!" Yelled Leorio. " Hm." Said the white haird boy. " How about you show a little respect for the exam!" Yelled Leorio. " What do you mean?" Said the white haired boy. " I mean quite using a damn skateboard that's cheating!" Said Leorio. " How's that?" Said the white haired boy. " How? This is an endurance test that's how!" Said Leorio. " No it's not" said wendy. " That voice, it can't be." Thought the white haired boy. " What are you babbling about now wendy." Said Leorio. " The examiner only said to follow him." Said wendy. The white haired boy turned around to see that it was his long lost childhood friend. " Who's side are you on wendy." Said Leorio. " Wendy is that you?!" Asked the white haired boy. " Killua?!" Said wendy. " Where have you been I've been trying to find you?" Said Killua. " It's a long story." Said wendy. " I didn't know you wanted to become a hunter?" Said Killua. " That's a long story too." Said wendy. Then wendy looked at what Killua had in his hand. " You still have that skateboard I gave to you?" Asked wendy. " Of course I do, it's special to me." Wendy starts to blush. " I'm so glad to see you again." Said wendy. " "Same here." Said killua. And so the two friends were reunited at last. " Damn kids. There not going to make a fool out of me." Leorio starts to slow down. " Rookies never pass the hunter exam just one of every three years or so. I'm just a regular guy. I don't stand a chance. What the hell was I thinking. Damnit. Said Leorio. Wendy stops running and stares at Leorio. Killua notices that Wendy stopped running. " Wendy. Forgot about him. We got to keep moving." Wendy keeps staring at Leorio. " Screw this." Suddenly Leorio starts dashing toward the other applicants. " I'm becoming a hunter no matter what! Dammmmmmmnnnnnn iiiiiiiit alllllllllllllllll!" Wendy smiles at Leorio. Wendy summons thing. " Thing. It is you time to shine. I want you to grab that brief case for me kay. Thing swoops up the brief case in a flash. Killua is amazed for what Wendy just did. " That was awesome Wendy." Said killua. " Can I try thing." Asked killua. " Sure if I can try your skateboard." Said Wendy. " Hey I got an idea let's race to the finish to see who's faster." Said killua. " Okay, but the loser has to buy dinner." Said Wendy. " Your on." Said killua. " Ready, go!" Said both Wendy and Killua. Leorio takes off his shirt and runs with only his tie one and number badge. " Are you okay, Leorio?" Asked Kurapika. " I'm great, never been better. If had forgotten how stupid I look. It's a whole lot easier to keep going." Said Leorio. " I suppose I should follow suit." Thought Kurapika. " Leorio I have a question for you." Said Kurapika. " What's up. The phase too easy for you so you can make it harder. Save you breath kurapika your going to need it." Said Leorio. "Why do you want to be a hunter. Is it really just about the money. It can't be. I know we haven't known each other for very long, but that's not like you. I mean sure your attitude is terrible and you aren't too bright either. Said Kurapika. "See you at the finish line." Said Wendy. "Yeah, catch you later old man." Said Killua. "Hey I'm not old can't you tell I'm a teenager just like you!" Said Leorio. "What...no way." Said Wendy
Wendy and Killua are close to the end of the tunnel so they run a little faster. "Now then let's see how many applicants have made it this far." Said Satotz. But little did he know that behind him was Wendy and Killua. " GOAL!" Said both Wendy and Killua. "Ya I win so you have to buy me dinner." Said Wendy. "No I won so you have to buy me dinner." Said Killua. "Excuse me sir but who won?" Asked Wendy. "Both of you won simultaneously." Said Satotz. "Okay. Then we will do it the old fashioned way." Said Wendy. "You mean." Said Killua. " Rock, Paper, scissors." Said Wendy. "Your on." Said Killua. " Rock, paper, scissors, shoot." Said both Wendy and Killua. "Yes! I win!" Said Killua. "Dang it." Said Wendy. "Guess what Wendy. Your going to have to buy me dinner." Said Killua. Leorio and Kurapika has made it out of the tunnel. "Hey Kurapika." Said Wendy. "Hey. Is this our destination?" Asked Kurapika. "Nope not yet." Said Wendy. " I see. Looks like the fog is lifting." Said Kurapika. " Really....whoa." Said Wendy. Wendy saw the beautiful atmosphere and thought it was the most amazing thing she has ever saw. "Now then, please follow me closely so you won't be deceived." Said Satotz. Everyone just stares at Satotz. "Is he messing with us. How can they fool us, when we're expecting it?" Said Leorio. "Don't fall for it!" Said an unknown man. "Listen. Didn't I just say that we won't." Said Leorio. Then a man came from the shadow. "Don't let him fool you." Said the unknown man. Then everybody looked at the man and listened to him. "He's lying. That man is lying to you!" Said the unknown man. Then everyone looked at Satotz. "He's an impostor. A total fraud. I'm the real examiner you got it." Said the unknown man. Everyone gasped. "Imposter? What's going on here?" Said Leorio. "But then...who is he...really?" Said Hanzo. "I'll prove it. Look at this." Said the unknown man. The unknown man pulled at a monkey with Satotz face on it. "Oh wow. He looks like Mr. Satotz." Said Wendy. "This is a man faced ape from Numere Wetlands. Said the unknown man. "A man faced what?" Said Leorio. "Man Faced Apes love the taste of fresh human flesh. However, their limbs are long and thin, so they're quite weak. That's why they disguise themselves as humans. They trick humans into following them into these wetlands, where they team up with other animals to kill and devour them. He intends to trap every single applicant!" Explained the unknown man. "Bastard." Said Leorio. "He certainly doesn't walk like a human." Said Hanzo. Then suddenly cards shoot at the unknown man. "What?" Said Leorio. Then the unknown man suddenly falls to the ground. Then Hisoka starts to laugh. "I see, I see. That settles it then. So you are the real one." Said Hisoka. "Hold on...he's the real examiner?" Thought Hanzo. "The examiners are hunters. Each is hand picked by the exam committee. To do this job without pay. Any hunter, bearing the title we seek, would have been able to block that attack."Said Hisoka. "I should take that as a compliment, thank you. However, should you attack me again, for any reason, I will have no choice, but to report you for attacking an examiner and have you immediately disqualified. Is that clear?" Said Satotz. "Of course." Said Hisoka. Then vultures suddenly start eating the dead body of the unknown man. "Nature can be so brutal. It's hard to watch." Said Leorio. "So he was a Man Faced Ape, as well." Said Kurapika. "He was attempting to confuse the applicants, to lure some of them away." Said Satotz. "We cant let our guard down." Said Killua. "Right." Said Wendy. "You will be encountering such deception on a regular basis. I believe a number of you were fooled into suspecting my identity? Do you understand? If you lose sight of me in the Numere

"And we're running through marsh this time. Running on wet ground requires more energy." Said Kurapika. The applicants have finally escaped the long, dark tunnel. Thus far, 36 candidates have withdrawn from the exam, leaving 368 remaining applicants. Their next challenge is the Numere Wetlands, also known as Swindlers Swamp. The brutal Hunter Exam continues.
