Explosion Of Deception

Zevil Island, day two. Wendy has learned the technique which will enable her to capture her target. "Aw! Now look what you did thing! You clenched the bird so hard that your claws went through it's body." Said Wendy. Wendy just stared at the bird and then heard it still breathing. Wendy casted her healing spell.

Wendy wrapped a bandage all over the bird.The bird woke up and tried to fly over to Wendy. Wendy put out her arm and gently grabbed the bird over to her. "I wouldn't fly if I were you. I suggest that you rest until tomorrow, but for now I want you to stay by my side." Said Wendy. The bird climbed over to Wendy and hid under her hair on her shoulder. Wendy giggles. Then Wendy felt something on her hands. "My hands are all bloody. I guess I was to busy healing the bird that I didn't notice that blood was all over my hands." Said Wendy. "If I time it just right, I'll be able to steal Hisoka's badge. All that's left is to find Hisoka!" Thought Wendy. "But how am is supposed to find Hisoka? I don't have his sent. I guess I'll just have to walk around, and trust my instincts." Said Wendy. Then all of a sudden pink and reddish butterflies started flying towards Wendy. "What? Why are they gathering around me?" Questioned Wendy while shooing them away. Then Wendy realized something. Wendy held out hand and put it in another direction. The butterflies followed Wendy's hand every time she moved it somewhere else. "These butterflies. They're attracted to the smell of blood." Thought Wendy. Wendy had wrapped her hands in bandages and got a string to attach it to the butterflies, so Wendy could find Hisoka. "I remember that, back at the tower, Hisoka was injured. If this works, the butterflies might lead me to him." Thought Wendy. The butterflies instantly turned to another direction. Wendy hid under a bush and saw someone. "Ah...It's the guy who got shot with the arrow." Said Wendy. Wendy got bandages from her bag and put the bandages on the applicant. "Oh, well. Better luck next year." Said Wendy. Wendy continued to follow the butterflies. Wendy has followed the butterflies for an hour until she stopped and kneeled down. She untied the string and let the butterflies go. Wendy had found Hisoka. "There he is." Thought Wendy. Wendy was breathing heavily. Her heart was racing. "Calm down... calm down." Said Wendy to herself. Then Wendy took a deep breath. "Mist Body." Said Wendy to herself. Wendy had turned invisible. Wendy took another deep breath and had hid her presence. "I'll just have to wait... until he makes his move." Thought Wendy. Meanwhile in the depths of the forest. "Damn it. Where the hell is everybody hiding?" Said Leorio while laying down on a tree. "It's been two days. I haven't seen anyone." Said Leorio. Suddenly the bush starts to rustle and Leorio gasps. Leorio got out his knife. "Who's there?!" Said Leorio. "Whoa, hold on! It's just me okay?" Said a familiar voice. "Tonpa. So I'm your target." Said Leorio. "Hey, wait a minute! Just relax! I promise you're not my target, all right?" Said Tonpa. "Then prove it." Said Leorio. "Right." Said Tonpa. Tonpa took out his number target. "See?" Said Tonpa. "Hmm." Said Leorio. Leorio put down his knife. "Whew. I guess it's a good thing I didn't throw it away, huh? There's no point in going after just anyone. That's a huge waste of time and energy." Said Tonpa. Tonpa gasps. "W-W-Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Don't tell me. I'm not your target, am I?" Asked Tonpa. "Unfortunately you're not." Said Leorio. Leorio took out his number target. "#246. "Ponzu, Huh?" Said Tonpa. "Uhh! Wait. Are you saying you know who that is?" Asked Leorio. "Are you saying you didn't?" Asked Tonpa. "Uh, oh, well, see, uh, I wouldn't put it like that. I just didn't have the chance to figure it out yet." Said Leorio. Tonpa chuckles. "Do you want me to fill you in?" Said Tonpa. "What?" Said Leorio. "What they look like, their weapons, their special abilities, and their weaknesses? I will, but I have one condition." Said Tonpa. Tonpa stomach gurgles. "Hmm?" Said Leorio. "I ate some nuts that aren't really agreeing with me." Said Tonpa. "Nuts, you say?" Said Leorio. "To be honest, I can barley stand right now. But you are pre-med, aren't you? Do you happen to have any medicine on hand?" Asked Tonpa. Tonpa's stomach gurgles and groans. "Whoa! Don't crap your pants." Said Leorio. Leorio grabbed his suitcase. "Antidiarrheals are pretty much all the other basics." Said Leorio. "That's great. Thank you." Said Tonpa. Tonpa tried to grab Leorio's suitcase, but Leorio swiped it away. "But first, the info." Said Leorio. "Fine. If you insist." Said Tonpa. Tonpa grabbed a stick and drew a person. "For starters, Ponzu's a women." Said Tonpa. "Go on." Said Leorio. "As far as I know, out of the 24 applicants who are left, there are only five of them who use sort of chemical weapons. Ponzu is one of 'em." Said Tonpa. "That's her." Said Leorio. "She happens to specialize in all sorts of toxins, so you'll want to be careful. However, her strategy's simple. She just lies in wait" Said Tonpa. "She does?" Said Leorio. "She sets a trap and waits patiently for her target to wander into it." Said Tonpa. "I see." Said Leorio. "And you don't have to worry about anything else. She's not all that daunting herself, so get her into an actual fight and you're guaranteed to win." Said Tonpa. Tonpa's stomach gurgles again and winces. "Still, if you find her, watch your step, and remember to stay downwind. She knows someone's targeting her, so it's not like you can rely on the element of surprise." Said Tonpa. Tonpa's stomach gurgles again. "Yow! And that's pretty much it. Now give me that medicine!" Said Tonpa sickly. "Okay, but I need you to take a step back." Said Leorio. "Ohh! Just hurry! I-I can't hold it in!" Said Tonpa. Leorio opens his suitcase. Then something comes out of the tree. Leorio gasps. A man with messy brown hair, blue eyes, black sweater, beige pants, and black shoes had almost attacked Leorio with a stick. Everything in Leorio's suitcase came out even his number badge. "Damn it!" Said Leorio. A monkey grabs Leorio's number badge. The monkey chitters. The man started to laugh. Looks like I got your badge. Heh." Said the man. "I knew you were keeping it in your briefcase." Said Tonpa. "Tonpa! You're working together?" Said Leorio. "You bet, and I didn't need your medicine. I've got my own. As you might have guessed, you really were my target this whole time." Said Tonpa. "But the card you just showed me..." Leorio was cut off by the man. "Oh, that one's my target. And this one is Tonpa's. We traded for this little deception. I just can't believe you fell for it." Said The man. "So there you have it!"'Said Tonpa. Tonpa laughs. "Damn you! You're gonna pay for this!" Said Leorio angrily. "Whoops!" Said Tonpa. "Tonpa, let's meet at the Rendezvous Point!" Said The man. "Gotcha!" Said Tonpa. Leorio starts chasing Tonpa. "Stop right there! You're dead! You hear me?" Yelled Leorio. "Why are you chasing me? I'm not the one who's got your badge!" Said Tonpa. "Shut your trap!" Yelled Leorio. "You're kidding me. You still don't get it, do you, rookie? That's a shame." Said Tonpa. "What did you say?!" Yelled Leorio. "It's not our fault you got duped, buddy!" Said Tonpa. Leorio screams. "Besides, forming alliances is a great way to pass the exam." Said Tonpa. "I can accept the latter, but never the former." Said a familiar voice. "Unh!" Said Tonpa. Tonpa was kicked by the figure. "Kurapika!" Said Leorio. "Leorio, would you like to team up?" Said Kurapika.
        In  the grass land Tonpa was beat up and tied up. Above him was a sign that said "Please do not feed!" Meanwhile in the forest the man was jumping up and down to tree to tree. Right behind him was Leorio. "Hey! Give me back my damn badge!" Yelled Leorio. The man laughed. "If you want it, you gotta catch me!" Said the man. But by the time the man finished his sentence the monkey was gone. "Eh? Huh?" Said the man. The man looked up and Kurapika grabbed the monkey who had his sword aiming at the monkeys neck. The man and the monkey were tied up with Tonpa. "Okay, I got my badge back safe and sound." Said Leorio. "We have the badges for numbers #16 and #118, as well." Said Kurapika. "So, Hey, it was pretty lucky that Tonpa was your target. You saved me back there." Said Leorio. "Please, no thanks necessary. I didn't want Tonpa to realize I was there, which is why I hid while you were ambushed from behind." Said Kurapika. "What?" Said Leorio. "In my defense, I had to be sure you could handle an attack like that. Otherwise, what use would you be to me as a partner? You qualified, though barley." Said Kurapika. "You are so full of it." Said Leorio. "Either way, I admit it's a lot easier when you join forces. The next four days, let's stick together." Said Leorio. "All right." Said Kurapika. "Well, you got your target's badge, so that's a good start. Add it to your own, and that's a total of six points." Said Leorio. "That's assuming he doesn't take it back. And # 118s badge is only worth one more point for either of us." Said Kurapika. "True, but it might still come in handy." Said Leorio. "All right, we need to find your target. #246. Ponzu, right?" Said Kurapika. "We need to stay alert." Said Leorio. A few hours pass by and the sun is just about to set. Meanwhile in the other part of the forest. "You've been following me since we started. It's pretty damn obvious." Said Killua. "You wanna play? Come on out." Said Killua. Killua just sighs and shrugs it off and keeps walking. Meanwhile at the location Wendy is at. "Well? Show yourself." Said Hisoka. Wendy gasps. "How did he know? Did I let my presence slip out?" Thought Wendy. "I know you're there." Said Hisoka. "Did he notice me?" Thought Wendy. "If you won't come out, I suppose I'll have to come to you." Said Hisoka. Hisoka started walking towards Wendy's direction. Wendy turned off her Mist Body. "This is it. It's all or nothing." Thought Wendy. Wendy got ready. Suddenly a man popped out of the bush. The man had black hair, thick eye brows, a yellow bandana, blue and white shirt, dark purplish pants, and gray shoes. "Huh? When did he..." Thought Wendy. The man looked at Wendy's direction. The man pulled out his spear and swung it across Wendy's direction. Wendy quickly ducked. Wendy gulps. "I Goz, seek a bout with you." Said the man. "You'll die." Said Hisoka. "Mm." Said Goz. Goz walked towards Hisoka. Goz took out his spear. "Now's my chance." Thought Wendy. Goz shot forward at Hisoka. Goz tried to hit Hisoka, but every time he aimed at Hisoka, Hisoka would dodge every time. "It's about to happen. I've gotta wait 'til he goes for the kill." Thought Wendy. Goz would try to hit Hisoka again and again, but Hisoka would dodge every time. "Why? Why isn't Hisoka fighting back?" Thought Wendy. Goz took his last and final blow, but once again Hisoka dodge. Goz started panting. "I don't get it. Why won't you fight?" Asked Goz. "I only need to evade, and you'll die eventually, yes?" Said Hisoka. Goz gasps. The same pink reddish butterflies came to Goz. Wendy gasps. "I can tell by the large swarm of Hemotropic Butterflies that your wounds are quite serious." Said Hisoka. There was a stab wound across Goz's stomach. Goz has kneeled down in pain. "Someone has already wounded you, correct? I understand wanting to end your life fighting as a warrior." Said Hisoka. "If that's true and you really do understand, then why? Why do you refuse to fight me and grant me the death I desire?" Asked Goz. "Hmm. Because I have no interest in the dead." Said Hisoka. "Wait. What? But I'm...I'm... not.." Goz was cut off by Hisoka. "Do you know how I know you're dead?" Said Hisoka. There was a long pause. Then Hisoka gave Goz his answer. "Your eyes." Said Hisoka. Hisoka walked away and sat on a log. "Bye- Bye." Said Hisoka. Goz tried to get up. Goz started to scream towards Hisoka and ran towards him. "I can't watch!" Said Wendy to herself. Wendy closed her eyes and covered her ears. Then suddenly a sword swung across Goz. Goz fell to the ground "Sorry. I was careless, and he got away." Said Azre. "Don't lie to me. He probably begged you to grant him a last request, and you relente. Am I right?" Asked Hisoka. "Well, I may have felt sorry for the man. He was going to die anyway." Said Azre. "You really need to stop pitying those who serve no purpose." Said Hisoka. "But you're guilty of that yourself. You've walked away from opponents before finishing them." Said Azre. "I do have standards. Why waste time on people who are utterly useless? I only spare those whose premature deaths would be a waste. Well, what about his badge." Asked Hisoka. "Oh, I already took it. I have six points now, so I don't really need this one. Want it?" Said Azre. "#80. Whose is this?" Asked Hisoka. "It belongs to someone who tried to snipe me. That pissed me off, and so, well, I killed 'em." Said Azre. Azre had took off her bunny head. Azre had long Scarlet hair and brown eyes. Ah, that's much better. Do you know how hard it is to run all day in this costume." Said Azre. "Well, best of luck." Said Azre. Wendy had opened her eyes and uncovered her ears. All Wendy saw was the dead body of Goz. Wendy gasped. Wendy couldn't believe what had just happened. A few hours had past and it was now night time. "It got dark really quick." Said Leorio. "We shouldn't let our guard down. Nightfall is the best time for an ambush. Said Kurapika. "I know. I know." Said Leorio. Meanwhile where Wendy was. "Only two points left to go. I guess I'd better start hunting." Said Hisoka. Hisoka started to walk away. "This is it." Said Wendy. Wendy had closed her eyes. "Mist Body." Whispered Wendy. Wendy had turned invisible again and followed Hisoka. Hisoka has found a hill and started looking around. "Hmm?" Said Hisoka. Wendy gasps. Hisoka had put his fingers together like a telescope. Hisoka had found Leorio and Kurapika. Hisoka smirks. "Hmm. Look who it is." Said Hisoka.
Hisoka target's Kurapika and Leorio, unaware that Wendy is after his badge. Four days remain before the end of the fourth Phase.
