Wendy was utterly humiliated after Hisoka returned the badges that Geretta had taken. As for Killua...
"You're wasting your time. Follow me all you want, but I'll never give you a chance to attack." Said Killua. The applicant chuckles. "Be afraid, kid. Be very afraid. I'm a very cautious guy. I'll do whatever it takes, even when I'm up against a kid. Once he's exhausted and he has to go to sleep, I'll strike." Thought the applicant. The applicant laughs. "Like I said, I'm a cautious guy." Whispered the applicant. Killua sighs. "Come out, or I'll come to you!" Yelled Killua. The applicant gasps. Killua starts to walk towards the applicant. "This really is a pain, you know? Chances are you're only worth one lousy point." Said Killua. The applicant starts to panic. "He wants to fight? He's just a kid. I can't lose, right?" Thought the applicant. "But...why's he so relaxed? He can't be that strong, can he?" Thought the applicant. "Right. Be cautious, 'cause I'm a cautious guy." Thought the applicant. "Oh, I should escape. I mean retreat and reassess." Thought the applicant. "But...if I do, my brothers might yell at me! Wait. What am I saying? If I go back without his badge, they're definitely gonna yell at me!" Thought the applicant. Then two men walked behind the applicant. The one on the left had a blue and white hat, a yellow jersey like shirt with black long sleeves, and black make up below their eye. The one on the right had an orange stocking cap, a red turtle neck, and make up under their eye. The applicant was wearing a light blue turtleneck sweater, long dark blue jeans, blue and white cap, sharp markings down both his eyes, and sneakers. "Big brother!" Said the applicant. Killua gasps. "We ran into a little trouble." Said the applicant on the right. "You must be done by now, right?" Asked the applicant on the left. The two applicants looked up. "Huh?" Said both applicants. The applicant sputters. The two applicants walk towards the other applicant and kicked him and punched him. What are you, an idiot?! "You can't even beat a little kid?! Gimme a break!" Said the two applicants. "Hold on. You got it all wrong, big brother!" Said The applicant. "And what part do I have wrong?" Asked the applicant on the right. "I-I didn't wanna hurt a little kid. That's all. I thought I'd just hold off and take it while he slept." Said the applicant. "You're so full of it!" Said the applicant on the left. "Fine! You got me! And you're right. I guess I should wrap this up. Time for a beat-down." Said the applicant. The applicant got up and walked towards Killua. "At least if I start to lose, I've got my brothers here to step in and back me up." Thought the applicant. The applicant was in front of Killua and had his hands on his hips. "All right, kid, how about you hand it over? Do as I say, and you won't get hurt." Said the applicant. "Idiot." Said Killua. The applicant gets furious and kicks Killua in the stomach and sends Killua flying into the ground. "Don't go sayin' I didn't warn you." Said the applicant. The applicant laughs. "Bam! Right in the gut!" Said the applicant. "Must hurt like hell." Said the applicant on the left. Killua raises up his feet and jumps right back up. The applicant gasps. "What the hell, bro? You go easy on the squirt?" Said the applicant on the right. "Yeah, you're way too nice, Imori." Said the applicant in the left. "Oh. Uh, right." Said Imori. Killua pulled something out of his pocket. "You're #198, Huh?" Said Killua. Imori gasps. "No way!" Said Imori. Imori goes looking for his badge in his pocket, but it's not there. "Since it's only a number off from the one I've been looking for, I'm betting that #199 must be one of you two. Am I right?" Said Killua. All the brothers start to gasp. "Hey, Umori." Said the applicant on the right. "Yeah." Said Umori. "Get into formation. Let's do this." Said the applicant on the right. "I'm pretty sure he ain't no ordinary kid." Said the applicant on the right. The brothers move into other different directions, so they could fool Killua. "I don't give a damn how strong he is. He doesn't stand a chance against our group attack. Nobody does." Thought the applicant on the right. "The three of us have beaten a lot tougher opponents than him with this formation." Thought Umori. "Just you wait, you brat. We're gonna tear you to shreds." Thought Imori.Killua smirked. The brothers got ready to attack Killua. Just as they were about to attack Killua, Killua was out of sight. "Up there!" Said the applicant on the right. Little did the applicant know that Killua was right behind him. Killua kicked the applicant and the applicant landed on his knees. Killua had brought out his claws. "Don't move, okay? My fingers here cut a lot better than any knife." Said Killua. Blood starts streaming out of the applicants neck. The applicant shudders. "Ah, man! You're #197. Damn. I really am bad at guessing these things." Said Killua. "Hey! Are you #199? Asked Killua. "Yeah." Said Umori. "Give it." Said Killua. Umori growls. Umori threw his number badge to Killua. "Thank you. Now then, for the ones I don't need." Said Killua. Killua throws the number tags in different directions. "Good luck. You got three days left to find 'em. I'll see ya later." Said Killua. And just like that Killua was gone. "Oh, man. This is so boring. I wonder what Wendy's up to right now." Said Killua.
"We've been here for six days. Only one day left." Said Leorio. "It's been four days since we ran into Hisoka, and we haven't found anyone else." Said Kurapika. "Maybe we should go back to the landing." Said Leorio. "Huh?" Said Kurapika. "It's possible there are a few people who've already finished." Said Leorio. "No, impossible." Said Kurapika. "Eh?" Said Leorio. "The Phase of the exam is different from all the others. If your badge is stolen, you still have the opportunity to recover it. On the other hand, just because you have six points worth of badges now doesn't guarantee you'll have them when the phase ends. This test can't be completed early." Said Kurapika. "I see." Said Leorio. "But it's worth a shot. With just a day left, there must be a few who've already gotten their six points, and it's safe to assume they would then gravitate to the same place, near the goal. At least, that's what I would do." Said Kurapika. "Okay. Let's get going." Said Leorio. When Leorio and Kurapika made it to the landing, no one was there and the boat was far off into the ocean. "Well? See anyone?" Asked Leorio. "No. That is to say no one who can be easily spotted." Said Kurapika. "Damn it." Said Leorio. "Perhaps we should split up and keep looking, but first we should chose a time and place for us to reconvene." Said Kurapika. "And it'll go way faster with three people." Said a familiar voice. Leorio and Kurapika turned around and saw Wendy jump from the tree. "Wendy!" Said both Leorio and Kurapika. "I guess we all must have had exactly the same idea. I've been watching from above, and it looks like there are a lot of people nearby." Said Wendy. "Really? From above? Now, why didn't we think of that?" Said Leorio. "It wouldn't have worked. Without eyes as sharp as Wendy's, we'd never have spotted anyone." Said Kurapika. "Wendy. Were you able to get all the badges you need?" Asked Kurapika. Wendy smiles. "Yeah." Said Wendy. "Ah, Damn. You got yours, too! So I'm the only one left." Said Leorio. "Well, who's your target?" Asked Wendy. "#246, a women named Ponzu. The only thing I really know about her is that she uses chemical weapons. Wendy, you didn't happen to see any women when you were up there, did you?" Asked Leorio. "I'm afraid not." Said Wendy. "I see." Said Leorio. "All right, there are four possibilities we should consider: She's safe and still in possession of her badge; she's alive, but no longer has her badge; she's out of the competition, but has held on to her badge; or she's dead now and doesn't have her badge." Said Kurapika. "Do you really think it's likely that she's both out of the running and still has her badge?" Asked Leorio. "She might have gotten in some kind of accident, or it's possible that she was defeated after hiding her badge somewhere for safekeeping. If that's the case and she was killed after concealing her badge, her badge may never be found again." Said Kurapika. "The more you talk, the worse this scenario gets." Said Leorio. "Hey, do you know anything else about Ponzu? Like does she wear some kind of special fragrance like Leorio?" Asked Wendy. "Huh?" Said Leorio. Wendy pointed to her nose. "That's right! Wendy might be able to track her by her scent." Said Kurapika. "Okay, but she might not even wear perfume, you know. What do we do then?" Asked Leorio. "She'll track her chemicals. She's well known for using chemicals, isn't she? With a variety of chemicals, some are sure to have distinct odors. Well, Wendy?" Said Kurapika. Wendy nodded. Wendy climbs up a tree to get the chemical scent. Wendy took a deep breath and sniffed. Wendy got down from the tree and led the way to where Ponzu was going to be. When they made it to their destination Wendy stopped in front of a cave. "Is she in there, Wendy?" Asked Leorio. "Yep. No doubt about it." Said Wendy. "What's your plan?" Asked Kurapika. Leorio put down his suitcase and grabbed a stick. "I'm going in. I want you guys to wait here." Said Leorio. Leorio walked into the cave and waited a little while. Then Leorio threw the stick into the cave. "Doesn't look like there are any traps." Thought Leorio. "I'll head inside. Wait until I give the okay. Then you two can come in." Said Leorio. "30 minutes." Said Kurapika. "Hmm?" Said Leorio. "If, after 30 minutes, we haven't heard from you, we're coming to find you." Said Kurapika. Wendy nodded. "No way." Said Leorio. "If you don't hear from me, you both go right back to the start." Said Leorio. "That's not an option." Said Kurapika. "We have formed an alliance, and I will not abandon you now." Said Kurapika. There was a long pause. "Then this alliance is over." Said Leorio. "I know it's selfish, considering how much you helped me, but I've got to do this alone." Said Leorio. "No way." Said Wendy. Leorio gasps. Leorio ran towards Wendy and Kurapika angrily. "What did you say?!" Said Leorio. "We're both staying here because we want to." Said Wendy. Leorio didn't know what to say. "It's our choice. So is that a problem?" Said Wendy with a serious look. Leorio didn't know what to say. Leorio scoffs. "Fine. Suit yourself." Said Leorio. Leorio gave Wendy his briefcase. "Hang on to that for me." Said Leorio. Leorio walked off and went into the cave. Leorio kept walking into the like it was an endless void. Suddenly Leorio stops walking. "I've just gotta go for it." Thought Leorio. Leorio continues walking into the cave. Leorio slowly walks and takes out his knife. All Leorio could see was a little light. Once Leorio made it to the end of the cave all he could see was an old man with tan turban, a light blue and purple robe, black mustache, and dark purple shoes. "Hey, isn't that-it's Bourbon." Said Leorio. "Let me guess. I must be your target. Am I right?" Said a women who wore a big yellow hat with white flaps, a salmon blouse, beige baggy pants, orange shoes, and turquoise hair. "Ponzu!" Said Leorio. "It's pointless." Said Ponzu. "There's nothing for us to gain by fighting down here." Said Ponzu. "I have everything to gain. It's just like you said. You're my target, all right? This is happening, no matter what!" Said Leorio. "Ponzu sighs. "Let's assume that we do fight and, by some miracle, you actually beat me. There's still no way you're ever getting out of this cave." Said Ponzu. "Wait. What? What are you talking about?" Said Leorio. Meanwhile outside of the cave. It was quiet. He's taking too long. So what do you think? Is he okay?" Asked Wendy. "Yes, but his 30 minutes are almost up." Said Kurapika. It was quiet again. "Kurapika, Wendy, don't come in!" Yelled Leorio. Wendy and Kurapika ran into the cave and saw Leorio lying on the floor. "Leorio!" Said Wendy. Wendy and Kurapika saw bite marks all over Leorio. "Leorio!" Said Wendy. "You idiots. I thought I told you not to come in." Said Leorio. "He's covered in bites. If those snakes are venomous, then..." Thought Kurapika. "They're a kind of viper, and they are poisonous, but it isn't that strong." Said Wendy. "Still, with this many bites." Said Wendy. Leorio tried to move but Wendy told him to stay still. "Don't move!" Said Wendy. Wendy put out her hands and was healing Leorio. Ponzu and Kurapika were shocked. "Healing magic?" Thought Ponzu. "W-Wendy what are you- Don't move!" Wendy has cut Leorio off before he could finish his sentence. "This is my healing magic. I can cure venom, fevers, relieve pain, heal wounds, and close to death. Ponzu and Kurapika were surprised.

"Leorio! Do you have any anti venom in here? Asked Kurapika

"Leorio! Do you have any anti venom in here? Asked Kurapika. "If I did, maybe I would have been able to save you guys, at least." Said Leorio. Leorio had been nocked out. "Leorio!" Said Kurapika. "It's okay. He'll be fine. He needs to rest anyways." Said Wendy. Soon after Wendy was done healing Leorio, Wendy felt really dizzy, but shrugged it off. Wendy and Kurapika had carried Leorio. "I wouldn't advise that." Said Ponzu. "You aren't getting out so easily." Said Ponzu. "What do you mean by that?" Asked Kurapika. "What I mean is that we're trapped. Whenever someone tries to leave this cave..." Before Ponzu could finish her sentence there was a rustling sound inside the cave. "The snakes will attack you en masse." Said Ponzu. Wendy and Kurapika were shocked. The snakes started to come towards Wendy, Kurapika, and Leorio. "Its a trap set by Bourbon, The Snake Charmer." Said Ponzu. "If you're bitten, you'll end up completely paralyzed, just like your friend here." Said Ponzu. "After that, you die." Said Ponzu. Wendy and Kurapika start to back up. "Bourbon! You're looking to collect more badges, right?" Asked Kurapika. "We'll give you every one we have. Just please let us out of here!" Said Kurapika. Bourbon didn't respond. "Don't bother." Said Ponzu. "You see, he's already dead." Said Ponzu. Wendy and Kurapika were shocked and looked over at Bourbon. "What? You can't be serious." Said Kurapika. Wendy
