Ah... My body feels like it's floating in the air. In fact, I'm rising! Turning my head backwards to see the planet Earth, I realize two things. One, my vision is completely fixed. Two, I'm in lala land again... which means...

"Princess," said a baritone.

"Griffon," I reply.

"You're doing a splendid job with these Betas. At the expense of your own health, too. Can you imagine the pain that your body is going to go through tomorrow?"

Grr... "Please don't remind me..."

"No need to growl to yourself, princess. I just find it noble of you to heal them without even knowing them."

"Well... they did go through the trouble of building their new home for me and Jason to also dwell in when needed... The least I could do is assure they're in perfect health."

"You still have one more to go. Aden..."

By killing off the power (Jason's parents) that was forcibly granted to Aden's parents, they died. At the moment, Aden is slowly coming to terms that this was his fate and that he can't hate Jason for something he didn't know he was doing."

"You are the partner of Jason. And... Aden is also aware that you did kill Jason's dad..."

"What?"
