- Cassius Buvelle' Perspective-

"Hey." I barely hear. My mind was screaming. It sounded like liquids just sloshing around in my skull, drowning my every thought and sense. All I could feel was pain.

But I had heard that "Hey", hadn't I? Or was my mind playing tricks on me again? No, it wasn't. There was a reason I could hear that. It snapped me out of my sleep for some reason. I had heard it before.. somewhere.

I heard wind blowing past my face. Maybe that had snapped me back, too. Then my eyes finally open. They were groggy and slow, and I had to work to push the eyelids away from each other. I saw a tile floor, with splotches of red.

"You're awake." I hear, and this worries me. I know that voice. That menacing, deep voice. I turn my head as fast as I can, even though it hurts, and my fears are confirmed. Sitting in a nearby chair is.. Kable.

"Morning, siete." He says, grabbing his second shield. "Looks like you had one hell of a night. Is this hangover? Or.."

"Emily. Piert-" I say, and my headache only hurts more. This is worse than any migraine I've ever had.

"Killed?" He says. "Pierto over here is dead. But I'm not sure about Emily."

"Wha-" I begin. "Do.. yuh.. wan."

"What I wanted was your help, though it seems you're quite out." Kable says with a chuckle. "If the Careers took out Pierto, maybe you could help me fight them. Or just lead me to them."

sigridraabe What does Cassius do?

- Emily Anderson's Perspective -

I notice that on my way to the lighthouse, my beacon had been lifted. I had no clue why. Maybe they had thought I'd lost enough. No, they're too cruel for that. It's probably just for their story.

This was basically the Capitol's high stakes, annual reality show. A very deadly one, albeit, but still a reality show. Everyone alive was alive for a reason. That's why the ones that were the least captivating die early, along with Random Chance.

My golf cart finally puts far enough and reaches the lighthouse. The Careers has gotten exhausted chasing me, and so I was alone down here.

I hope.

I walk inside and find fairly traditional furniture. It looks like it was abandoned years ago, but not so broken that the roof would collapse. Well, at least without Capitol interference.

I would train here, survive, and isolate myself here. I'd still have to get food, but the ocean was right by me. This could just work.

But above all else.

I would get revenge for Pierto and Cassius.

- Alexander Gucci's Perspective -

I had waited outside of this shop long enough. I'm going to get that Pickaxe, and kill anyone who stands in my way. And preferably hit a vape afterwards.

I walk up to the boat and use my concentration to walk up the rotting wooden planks. This was most certainly a perilous route, but it was the only one.

After each squeak of the planks, my feet finally touch the bow. I walk to the Pickaxe, and pick it up. It was sleek and shiny in my hands. It was more of a hiker's pick than a mining pick, which made it lighter and smaller. I liked these better for.. well, child slaughter.

I chuckled. It was all so surreal. How could I possibly be competing in a child murder game? I just wanna mine and vape. What more could a man want?

I walk off the boat, and eventually land onto the shore again. Whoever was in that ship knew damn well not to fuck with vapegod.

- Quinn Jackson's Perspective -

We decide to run. Why would we investigate something like that? We can't get injured this early, or else we'd be guaranteed to die. And I can't have that.

As we run, we hear more sounds followed by bullets. Those metal things clashing were guns. Probably sentries or something like that. A tool of the Capitol.

We duck into a nearby building, which was an open air market. I sit down behind an aisle, and Bailey, panting, sits next to me.

"This is a market, there's gotta be some food in here." She says.

"Food shouldn't be our concern in Day 2." I say, looking at our near empty canteen. "Fresh water is."

"Okay, but my stomach is growling." She complains.

"Get used to it." I say coldly. No one can afford to be a glut in the Hunger Games. That's downright dumb.

- Ike Pinto's Perspective-

I lay out numerous papers in front of Lyka and Tender on their office desks. I then take a seat, and Tender crosses his arms.

"After some sound research." I say seriously, but Tender smirks. Typical. "I know where the arena is, what I'll need, and how to get Maddox out safe and sound."

"Damnit, Icarus.." Lyka moans, putting her hand to her head. "I get that you want to help your brother. My parents had a similar problem once, and I chose to run. Look where I am today."

"This is different." I say, and Lyka looks away, angry. Like she knows what I want is right but I just can't have it. "Seriously!"

"You're going to die if you try!" Lyka yells, and Tender whispers something in her ear. She is fighting tears. "Ike, I can't do this. I won't be responsible for the death of the real nugget!"

My eyes start to stream tears. I shouldn't be crying right now, I should be staying strong. But I can't. I can't just push my emotions away. It was impossible.

"He's my brother!" I yell, my metal arm holding my face. It was really cold. I'm left speechless.

"Look." Tender says, walking toward me and taking my hand. "Trust me. This is for the best."

"You don't determine my future!" I yell, and I run out of the room, and down the hall. Only, I notice something once I found the second corner.

There was a paper note in the Hand that Tender had just held. I unfold it, and it reads:

I can't help you in that arena, but I can't watch you lose your brother. Use the code 10879 at the boat launch at dark tonight. Use the boat "Trepidation". It has an earpiece that connects me with you, and I'll provide you tech support.

Use the code 9564 to enter the armory when no one else is there and grab a bow and arrow. Go save Maddox and bring him back. We'll be waiting. I'll make sure of it.

Good luck, nugget.
