Night 2 Part 2: Luck

- Austin Glazkömmpf's Perspective -

I strike into the jungle, heading to find some water. If I didn't get more supplies, I'd be out by tomorrow. I take my knife and head into the dense jungle. It was incredibly dark in here.

It's good that I hear nothing but my own footsteps and bugs. It seems like an average stroll through the forest. And then, I find it. Water!

"Fuck yeah." I say to myself, quickly taking my canteen and dunking it in the pond. It was almost too perfect.

I hear leaves crushing in front of me, and I look up scared. There was no one there, though. The leaves then crush behind me, and my head whips in the other direction. It kept circling me, whatever it was.

Then I see it. There were a couple monkeys above me. These weren't normal monkeys, though. They were all hairless, clearly spawn of the Capitol. They were just.. so.. creepy.

One of them leaps down at me, getting ready to claw my face off. I slam my knife into its neck, and it's life falls away. The other monkeys seemed... angered by this. They all jump down, and I run the other way. But they are way faster than me.

My back gets scratched, and I scream in pain. I manage to shake it off, but more of them caught up. By the time I got to the beach, I was on the ground being cut open. No one could hear my screams.

- Maddox's Perspective -

I hear a cannon go off, and all of the pieces fit together. Dawn was being way too nice, or.. was she? May-

My legs carry myself towards Lennox, who was now running away. I can hear Dawn saying something. She seemed to be crying that we all left her. I really couldn't see what was wrong.

Lennox ducks into a building, and I follow. "L-L Lennox?" I ask. "W-What is h-happening?"

"She's trying to kill you." Lennox says. "And me."

"But Hans and.. Sarah!" I exclaim.

"They'll be fine." I hear from Dawn, who had just walked in.

"Y-You!" Lennox says, pulling his knife. "Get out of here!"

"Why.." She sniffs, tears streaming down her face. "Why do you guys run from me!"

"No!" Lennox says. "You're just manipulative!" He then charges her. Dawn holds back her knife, and headbuts him. Lennox falls to the floor, now dazed and knifeless.

- Hansen Fletcher's Perspective -

Sarah runs to the side and grabs a log as I slice at Mariel. She tries to swing it at Mariel's head, but Mariel dodges and grabs Sarah. She then hurls her towards me, knocking us both down. Her knife then plunges for me, stabbing my arm.

I scream, but then Mariel is knocked off of me. It unfortunately results in a bigger knife cut, but I rip it out of my arm and look to where Mariel fell. It looked like... Samira was attacking her. And she was doing so really well, too.

A box lands next to Sarah, undoubtedly a sponsor. Inside was a machete. She picked it up, and we both ran to help Samira.

We all tag team Mariel, surrounding her and getting numerous slices in. She couldn't go on for much longer. Samira then makes a final blow. "So gullible." She says to Mariel. Then she looks at us, and runs away.

"Samira!" I manage to say out of breath, but she just runs. And runs. "You okay, Sarah?"

"Yeah." She says, brushing off some dirt. "Where is Maddox? And Lennox?"

"Oh shit." I say, remembering they were seperated from us. We run towards the generator room, the last place they were at.

- Emily Anderson's Perspective -

I look out the lighthouse dome, sitting inside near the broken light. I had heard one cannon go off, but i had no idea who it was. Cassius wasn't dead, though. There's no way I can leave this place and survive, though.

I then see something... odd off the coast of the island. There's a small light in the water out there, like a boat inside the arena. I didn't think there were boats here. It is getting closer, though. A little too close.

I look, confused, as it lands on the docks outside the lighthouse. Someone gets out, and grabs a pack, although I don't know who it is. He then... walks toward the lighthouse.

A R E N A E V E N T

A hurricane is approaching the island. It will strike on Day 4. Currently, these people are in danger of the hurricane. The swamp will also flood, so anyone near the lighthouse will be stranded.
