Poseidon reaches for the sponsor package that had fallen down for him. Inside were some more arrows for his bow, with the addition of two red tipped arrows. I knew they were explosive tipped, and it slightly worried me.

We had settled down at the south of the city, and had driven here on a small Airport Luggage Truck. It was cramped, but Enrique and I had sat in the bed. The airport had some supplies hidden in the suitcases, most of which we raided and then threw them back onto the airstrip.

But, now was the time to enact part of my plan. If I was to win this, there'd need to be some advanced mind bending here tonight. My plan is huge and involved a lot of people, but I think I can handle it myself. Every tribute would play right into my will whether they wanted to or not.

After Poseidon inspected the arrows, he put them into his quiver and unpacked some of the food we had grabbed. On the menu tonight: Granola Bars and a Fish Poseidon had shot. Enrique cut it and served some to all of us.

"So, tomorrow's plan?" Enrique asks. "Any ideas?"

"Maybe Hunt down Samira?" Poseidon suggests. "She's the only solo left except for Kable."

"It'd be nice to take down Kable." Enrique mentions. Then I drop my idea.

"What about the group of 4?" I suggest. The other two look at me, surprised.

"But why?" Poseidon asks, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, we may know where they are, but that won't mean much. The outnumber us, and Hansen is a decent challenge for Enrique."

"Oh, please." Enrique mutters. "He's easy."

"Not when 3 Ranged Tributes are shooting you." Poseidon retorts.

"Look." I say. "You're the Careers. Have you no spine? You're the fiercest here!"

"You're right." Enrique says. I smile.

"We won't win by ducking from that fight. We should attack while we still know where they are, and we have the element of surprise." I say. "My group attacked them already. They're undersupplied and stationary."

Poseidon looks at his bow. "Maybe." He admits. "Still think we need to hunt down the smaller targets first."

"Think about it?" I ask. "I'll hatch a plan and tell you all tomorrow morning. It's gonna work."

"If you insist." Enrique says. "I'm gonna watch the ocean. Wanna come, Dawn?"

"Sure." I say, glad with my luck.

"I'll go practice shots." Poseidon says. "There's a nice area to shoot at nearby in one of the buildings."

"Don't die." I say, walking to Enrique. Secretly, I hoped he did.

"Look at our luck." Enrique says, putting the fire out and sitting on a balcony. "Two teens conquering the odds and sitting together in the final 9 of the Hunger Games."

"It is a sight." I say. "I would say our District is proud, but I'd like to hope they aren't watching this."

"Why not?" Enrique asks. "I'm making it like a champ."

"Not for much longer you won't." I say, starting my attempt.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He asks, a little more worried. His brows furrow and he looks at me, concerned. His eyes search my face for body language cues, but my face is all sympathy.

"I mean the way you're going right now." I say. "Poseidon isn't really your friend, you know. He's gonna dispose of you whenever he sees fit."

"I've been with him from Day 1." Enrique starts. "We trust each other."

"Think about it like this." I say. "Would you beat Poseidon in a straight up 1 versus 1?"

"What distance are we talking?" Enrique asks, fiddling with his Katana.

"Whatever distance isn't close enough." I state. "I'd wager it's not very far."

Enrique looks at his Katana worried. He knew I was right. "Okay." He says, flipping it and sticking it between some wooden boards. "What do you say we do then?"

"Do you trust me?" I ask. I look into his eyes, and see he's really not conflicted. He sees me like nearly everyone else: an innocent but badass girl.

"I mean, you're my District Partner." He responds. "As much as I can trust."

"Good enough." I say, readying a long breath.

"Damn!" I exclaim, as an arrow lands into the poster at the end of the grocery store. The buildings counters and aisles were empty, but it made an unusually good firing range. The long aisles left tons of open space.

I pull one of the red tipped, contemplating on whether to fire it. Maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea right now, seeing as the whole arena would know where to go for a confrontation.

Eventually I walk to the back of the store at the arrows out of the various targets. I'd missed only two shots. I was pretty proud of myself for that. The arrows find their way to my quiver, and I walk out of the building and down to ours.

I heard faint sounds of conversation as I neared the base camp. I see a hand shoot yo somewhere ahead of me, and recognize it's Dawn. Although, she was on the balcony facing away from me. She was there with Enrique and neither of them could see me.

"Let's just finish him off." Is what I hear. This captures my attention immediately, and I tiptoe across the pavement toward the house. I listen to their conversation in secret, getting more and more worried than ever.

"It will work fine!" Dawn exclaims. "Cmon, we've established he's not a friend."

"It's just.." Enrique begins. There was some hesitation in his voice. "Wrong. I know him too well."

"Sometimes we have to make hard decisions." Dawn sighs. I see her head tilt towards Enrique quickly. "Forget him, we're the new force in the games. Best everyone, and both get out."

"And how do we do that?" Enrique questions.

Dawn just sighs. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Trust me, this will work."

I walk backwards, having heard enough. I wasn't one of them? Screw them. I'll flip their little plan so hard the cannon goes double for each of them.

"Hey?" I question aloud into the house, knowing full well they're there but acting otherwise. They walk in from the patio deck. Enrique looked visibly stressed.

"What's up?" Dawn asked as if nothing had happened. It frightened me that someone could fake as well as she did.

"I'm gonna go look around the city some more." I say. "I need alone time."

"Alright." Dawn says. "Good luck!"
