"Am I the only one worried about that ominous cloud rolling in?" I ask the group. We were patrolling around the neighborhood on the southwestern side of the island. Don't ask me how I know.. Internal compasses are handy.

"No, it's not just you." Valerie admits. "Hell, even Mason has it in the back of his mind."

"A stupid cloud doesn't scare me." Mason says, looking back. "Nothing scares me."

"Are you sure?" I hear from behind us. I recognize that voice. I turn around, seeing my fears are confirmed. Kable from District 5 I standing behind us, Shields in hand in front of a setting sun. "I thought I was scary."

"Finally came to tango, huh?" Mason says, stepping in front of me. We all turned to face him, and Poseidon reached into his quiver. "Stand down, guys. I want to finish him personally."

"Bold of you to assume you can finish me." Kable says, with an annoying and insolent smirk on his face. I would love to wipe that off.

"Oh, come here cretin." He says, pulling his Sickles and lunging at him. His Sickles ring from contact with his shields, clashing metal with metal. They engage in intricate combat, and we all watch, awed by their coordination.

Kable blocks a shot, before launching an assault at Mason. His shield fakes Mason out, and the second one slams into his side. I see a small trail of blood start to flow from beneath Mason's shirt.

"Ha, congrats, one impact." Mason says, regrouping. "No one gets a hit in without paying for it dearly."

"Then make me pay, dude!" Kable taunts, and Mason gives the command to get us in the fight. I wield my Katana, Valerie charged with her spear, and Poseidon readies an arrow. The fight was on.

Poseidon releases an arrow, but it bounced harmlessly off of Kable's shield. I had to give him credit, no one I'd seen ever had been able to deflect arrows like him. I'd give him props if he'd be alive to receive them.

We all lunged for him, launching a Barrage of hits. He was having to focus on 3 Melee attacks at once, and arrows flying at him every couple seconds. I just hoped that Poseidon had the aim to not hit us. That would be really bad.

"There's a neighborhood on the west coast of the arena." I tell Ike, pointing to the map that he's holding.

"Wherever you think is best." Ike responds. "I just want to find Maddox."

"I get it." I state, grabbing the map and putting it in my pocket before sheathing my knife. "I've got a family back home, and there's nothing I'd rather wish for than to be back with them."

"But, you're.. helping me." He points out. "That, Like puts you on the Capitol hit list."

I gulped. He was right. What danger was I putting my family through right now by helping him? I'd already done it, though. No turning back now. After what seemed like forever, I say "That's a risk I'm willing to take."

"I understand." Ike says, sniffing. I look over, and see moonlight reflecting in his eyes. He was tearing up. "I've lost most of my family, I can't lose Madd-" he breaks down, crying and sitting on a fallen log.
