your senses are more...inhanced to say the least when you drink coffee. your heart seems to thump a more faster rhythm, lack of sleep may come as a side effect if you drink more then just one cup. you seem more jittery but that depends on what type of person you are, now, this is coming from a person who never drank coffee before. i never liked the smell and it looked gross to me, yeah people give me shit about it but a lot of people like different things and coffee just isn't one of them.
anyways, coffee is something that wakes you up. some may use it to help them get through study week or SATS or anything around it, or some may just use it for something to drink.
josh isn't addicted to it, no, it was just something for him to try to see if he'd like it. so far, he'd drink it every once and awhile but that changed when he got a job at a small cafe.
josh liked his job. he liked interacting with new people or just simply helping those get their daily dose of caffeine. josh liked helping people. he liked the satisfaction of making people happy and it warmed his heart every time someone would thank him.
it was a rather slow day at the golden days cafe but that was fine, it just meant that josh could try out some new recipes. yes, josh could bake too, he absolutely adored making treats and he was lucky enough that the cafe also had pastries.
"josh! you're sweets are done!" another co-worker, jenna, shouted out.
josh jumped off the counter just as two customers walked in, "can you take them out for me? i'm kind of busy at the moment."
jenna, of course, said yes and josh quickly took the loving couples order. it smelled so delicious as josh gave the couple thier order and wished them a good day, twisting a small white apron around his waist and heading off to the back.
"how are you so good at baking? i'm extremely jealous." jenna joked out with a smile as both of them took in the golden pastries looking just as delicious as the picture in the cook book. all josh had to do was drizzle small amounts of honey and they were ready to be sold, he was so excited.
josh rolled his eyes with a laugh, "i don't know, apparently i'm gifted or something."
"have to be, i wouldn't be able to do this own my first try!" jenna giggled out as she helped josh finish up, both of them opening up the large glass cabinet connected to the front desk and placing the sweets in their own space.
more customers came in slowly through out the remainder of the day and once the clock ticked 5:30, josh placed his apron on its reserved hook and left for home.
so yeah, josh loved his job.

of course i had to add jenna into this :). some of you may not like her but i adore her, but don't worry, she won't interfere with their relationship.
this was just a little insight of joshs job and such, sorry if it seems boring but i'm getting to the good part so just bare with me!
