Chapter 14

Y/N sighed as she sat down in her and Barry's bed. She felt thoroughly exhausted and frustrated after the day that she had. Barry had noticed how unsettled Y/N was about what happened, but he also knew that it wasn't a good idea to push her to open up.

Barry eventually crawled into their bed beside her, opening up his arms for her. Y/N smiled slightly as she laid down and snuggled into his side and rested her head against his chest.

"Are you sure that you're okay?" Barry asked her softly as one of his hands ran up and down her back soothingly.

Y/N nodded ever so slightly, "I think so, and I know I will be once we figure out who this mystery speedster is," she replied.

"We will figure out who it is, we always do," Barry told her. "We'll be okay."

Y/N shifted slightly and looked up at Barry, her chin resting lightly on his chest, "I know I'll be okay as long as I have you," she said smiling slightly.

Barry smiled as he leaned forward and kissed her slow and soft. "All I need is you," Barry mumbled against her lips.

"Barry Allen, you are too good to me," she told him.

Barry shook his head playfully at her as he leaned in for another kiss, "I love you," he added, pulling back and brushing a stray piece of hair behind her ear, his hand lingering over her cheek.

"I love you too," Y/N told him.

-----The Next Morning-----

Y/N woke to the bright morning sun streaming in through the window, she tried to sit up, but quickly noticed the arm draped securely around her waist as Barry slept on his stomach, his head tilted to the side towards Y/N.

Y/N smiled as she turned in his arms and rubbed up and down his back, "I really, really love you," she said softly.

Before Y/N could say or do anything else, Y/N noticed a smile fall onto Barry's lips as he slowly fluttered his eyes open.

"I love you too," he told Y/N as he rolled onto his side to face her fully.

"I wouldn't have it any other way," Y/N said as she captured Barry's lips in a kiss, one that Bary returned gladly.

Barry smiled as he wrapped his arms around her a little tighter, pulling Y/N closer to him as he saw the sunrise outside their bedroom window.

"Are you ready to go chase after this mystery speedster?" Barry asked.

Y/N sighed, turning to look up at him, her eyes meeting his in a gaze. "Are you sure I can't just spend all day with you in this bed?" she countered.

Barry smirked, "Sadly, no. Although, I wish that we could," he told her.

"I'll see you at the lab later?" Y/N guessed.

Barry nodded, "Yeah, I have to head to the station, but I'll meet you down at S.T.A.R. Labs for lunch," he replied.

Y/N glanced at the clock, suddenly realizing how late the time was, "You should get going, otherwise you're going to be late," she said turning her attention back to Barry.

"I know, but staying here with you is just so much better than work," he said dipping his head to kiss her.

Y/N smiled into a second kiss with Barry, "I thought you liked your job?" she asked him.

"I do," Barry replied. "But I just love you so much more," he said leaning his forehead against hers.

"I know, but do you really want Singh on your ass again if you're late?" Y/N asked.

Barry sighed, "Yeah, I know. But," he said shifting into a happier tone. "I'm a speedster, so we have all the time in the world," he mentioned.

Y/N chuckled, "I guess you're right, but you've only got 7 minutes until you're late," she informed him.

Barry shrugged, "I only need one to get ready and get there," he replied, leaning into a kiss with his wife.

"You sure about that?" Y/N wondered as Barry turned them both so that he was hovering over Y/N.

Barry kissed her once more before pulled back, "Pretty sure," he said capturing her lips in a slow kiss with his own.

---Later that Day---

Y/N walked into the Cortex and saw Cisco waiting for her, "What did you do?" she asked him. Cisco looked like a kid on Christmas morning.

"I may or may not have found a way to find out who our mystery speedster is," he bragged no so subtly.

Y/N was shocked at how fast Cisco found a solution, "Really?" she wondered. "How?"

"Vibing, I'm going to vibe you and your suit at the same time and hopefully find something that can help me," Cisco explained.

"Okay," Y/N said walking over to Cisco and her suit which laid out on a table in the Cortex. "Let's do it," she agreed.

Cisco nodded as he gripped Y/N's shoulder and her suit before he found himself entering one of his vibes. Cisco looked around and saw a place that looked all too familiar, he quickly realized exactly where he was, and who the mystery speedster was...

Cisco quickly let go of both Y/N and her suit in a panic.

Y/N furrowed her brows, "Cisco, what's wrong, what did you see?" she asked worriedly.

Cisco shook his head, "Uh...n-nothing. I need to go see Barry, like now," he said running out of the Cortex.

Y/N remained for a moment, not knowing if she should chase after him. She couldn't even begin to imagine what Cisco must have seen in order for him to run out the way he did. Y/N didn't know what to think or do for that matter.

Cisco went running into Barry's lab in a hurry. Barry looked up from his work when he saw his friend rushing to his desk.

"Hey, what's up?" Barry asked, confused as to why Cisco seemed too panicked "Are you okay?"

"No, no, no we are very not okay," Cisco said as he paced around in circles.

Barry stook up, walking around his desk towards Cisco, "What happened, is it Y/N, is she okay?" Barry asked, trying to calm CIsco down.

"Y/N's fine, well, sort of," Cisco rambled.

"What do you mean sort of?" Barry asked worriedly.

Cisco shook his head, "I thought I found a way to find the mystery speedster, so I vibed Y/N and her suit and I did not like what I saw," he explained to Barry.

Barry furrowed his brows in confusion, "Cisco, what did you see?"

"I saw-"
