Barry agreed to run both himself and Y/N home, he opened the door of the apartment for Y/N as she stepped inside. Barry grabbed a few extra blankets before he led Y/N upstairs and helped her relax in their bed as he laid an extra blanket over her.

"Can I get you anything?" Barry asked.

Y/N shook her head as she laid back and relaxed. She pulled the blankets back and patted the bed, motioning for Barry to join her.

Barry smiled as he complied with Y/N's wishes and laid down beside her, he opened his arms for her as he relaxed for the first time in a long time. Barry gently rested his cheek against the top of Y/N's head, he smiled contently.

Y/N had forgiven Barry for what he had done, how could she not? She now knew where Barry was coming from, he was coming from a place of love. She knew he was only doing what he thought was right, and that's all that anyone can do...

Y/N smiled as she nuzzled herself into Barry's side, she had her arm draped over his middle, her fingers dancing across his chest lightly. "What was it like?" she wondered after a few moments of silence had passed.

Barry furrowed his brows as he snaked his arms around Y/N, "What was what like?" he asked.

"Travelling to the past," Y/N clarified. "I'm sure it couldn't have been easy," she added.

Barry shook his head, "It was the farthest thing from easy..."

Y/N rested her head against Barry's shoulder as she looked up and met his eyes. "I'm sorry you had to go through that because of me," she replied.

"No," Barry quickly denied as he reached out and held Y/N's hand. "Don't start blaming yourself for this," he told Y/N, his thumb brushing over her knuckles gently. "Honestly, part of it was a little refreshing; seeing the city back then, all those years ago, when there weren't metahumans rampaging all over the place, it was so different," he explained.

Y/N nodded, "But facing Thawne couldn't have been easy," she added.

Barry agreed, "Yeah, but when it got down to it, I beat him, I was faster than him for the first time, and he wasn't expecting that."

Y/N furrowed her brows in confusion, "What do you mean when you say you beat him?" she asked. "I thought he was helping you?" she recalled.

"When I asked Thawne for his help he wanted something in return," Barry started. "He wanted the version of Gideon that you have in your suit, but I know that it isn't mine to giveaway. So when I took him back to the past, I didn't give it to him."

"And then he tried to race you for it?" Y/N guessed.

Barry nodded, "Yeah, he thought he could beat me, but I'm a lot faster now than I was then. He didn't know that, and he underestimated me, and in the end...I won..."

Y/N smiled, "You seem happy about that," she mentioned as Barry smirked.

Barry agreed, "I was finally able to beat him, after everything he's done to me, it feels pretty great."

"Yeah?" Y/N wondered.

"Yeah," Barry nodded as he dipped his head and pressed his lips against Y/N's, capturing her in a sweet kiss. "But it doesn't feel as great as that," he added.

Y/N smiled, her lips still brushing over Barry's, "I love you."

"I love you too..."

-----------------

A few days had passed and Y/N was still at home resting her encounter with Zoom's metahuman gas. Currently, she was sitting in bed, her back leaning against the headboard as she watched the news, a report about the Flash had just started.

Y/N smiled slightly as she saw Barry handling a hostage situation downtown. The footage showed Barry expertly speeding everyone to safety before he cuffed the criminals. Y/N's smile grew wider when Barry sped into the bedroom.

"Hey," he said casually as he sat down beside Y/N, handing her a bag of Big Belly Burger.

Y/N gladly took the food as Barry sat next to her. "So you were busy with more than just getting food," she pointed out.

Barry let out a soft laugh as he took a cheeseburger from the bag, "Yeah, I was running when I heard the sirens, I knew it wouldn't take long," he explained. "Were you watching?" he asked, gesturing to the TV.

Y/N nodded, "It's hard not to watch TV when your husband is on every news channel fighting crime," she told Barry.

Barry smiled, "But I'm back now," he said kissing her cheek before he dug into his food.

Y/N smirked, "What do you say we go to the lab tomorrow?" she suggested as they both continued to eat.

Barry nodded, "I'm guessing that means you are getting tired of home?" he guessed. "Or tired of me taking care of you?" he added as he took one of her fries.

Y/N laughed, "Not of you," Y/N clarified. "I'm a little tired of home, I wouldn't mind seeing the team, maybe even try to go for a run," she mentioned.

"Are you sure that's the best idea?" Barry wondered. "That gas did a real number on you," he reminded Y/N.

Y/N sighed softly, "I know, believe me, I do," she told Barry. "But I think getting back on my feet would be good, I can only rest for so long."

Barry nodded as he met Y/N's eyes, "I just want to make sure that you're okay," he replied. "I don't want you to feel like you have to push yourself back into the game."

"And that's very sweet, but I'm fine, Barry," Y/N reassured him.

"I'm sure that you are, but don't feel obligated to jump right back in, taking it slow isn't such a bad thing," he explained.

Y/N agreed, "I know, and I will take it slow, but going for a run, even if it is a short one, would be very refreshing," she told Barry.

"Promise to take it easy?" Barry asked.

Y/N smirked, "Promise..."
