Chapter 21

Y/N woke the next morning to an empty bed, though she heard quite the ruckus coming from downstairs. She pulled herself out of bed and changed quickly before heading downstairs. She walked down the steps and saw Caitlin, Julian, Cisco, Harry, Joe, and Oliver all eating breakfast with Barry.

Barry turned when he heard Y/N coming downstairs, he quickly got up and rushed over to her. "I know what you're thinking, and I'm not crazy inviting everyone over here for breakfast," he started telling her.

"Barry there are a lot of people in our home right now," Y/N told him.

Barry put his hands on her shoulders, "And it's all okay," he shrugged off. "I invited them here because we need all hands on deck to fight this Monitor guy," he explained.

Y/N sighed, "Why didn't you tell me?" she asked him, meeting his eyes in a gaze.

"Because I know you, and I knew you would probably freak out," he answered. "Plus, you just looked so peaceful this morning and I didn't want to ruin that," he added.

Y/N smirked slightly at how sweet Barry always was. "Why don't you come and join us?" Barry suggested as he grabbed Y/N's hand and leading her over to their dining room table.

"Sorry for barging in," Oliver greeted.

"If you want someone to blame, blame Barry, he invited us," Cisco cut in as he grabbed another slice of bacon.

Y/N smiled as Barry wrapped his arm around her as they stood before their friends, "I'm not blaming anyone. However, I am open to suggestions for as to how to fight this Monitor," she told everyone.

The team spent the whole day trying to figure out what to do next, how to track and find the monitor. Cisco tried a million different ways, but all of them proved useless.

Y/N had written down everything she remembered about the monitors and Clockwork, but it wasn't enough for anyone to actually put up a fight against one.

Eventually, everyone had managed to tire themselves out. Y/N and Barry chose to call it a night, sending everyone home. They had all agreed to start again in the morning.

Y/N and Barry were lying in bed together, but the moment Barry shut his eyes he felt as though he was opening them again but a moment later. Barry found himself lying against a cool mat on the ground, Diggle standing over him.

Barry quickly sprung up to his feet, "Dig, what are you doing here?" he asked, brows knit in confusion.

"Kicking your ass," he smirked as he dove in for an attack.

Barry quickly blocked, without his speed, it just happened, like instinct. However, Barry didn't have much time to be confused before his instincts landed Dig on the ground.

Barry had a few moments to gain his bearings, he was wearing a gray t-shirt and a pair of sweats, and he was in the Arrow Cave in Star City. Dig got back to his feet and continued with the fight, Barry could tell that he didn't have his speed, but he had some crazy good instincts to help him, he took down Dig a second time easily.

"What the hell is happening?" he mumbled, trying to understand.

"What's happening is the Green Arrow just kicked my ass," Dig said as he walked over to his bag and wiped down his face with a towel.

Barry looked over at him with a questioning glance, "I'm the Green Arrow," he repeated, not believing what was happening. "Holy crap...I'm the Green Arrow."

"Damn right you are," Diggle smirked. "Might wanna suit up, we just got a lead on that money laundering crew downtown, they're gonna be moving a shipment soon. This might be our last chance to stop them," he added as he handed Barry his suit.
