A lil Recap: so two chapters ago Tom Riddle saw a seer, who predicted that he and an "angel" would ultimately destroy each other. He worries that it's referring to Abigail.....Also, Penny lowkey brought up using a love potion to Cassie. Also, a while ago, Tom Riddle ordered his friends to kill Gabriel's mother, and Abigail kinda of unknowingly participated in it (emphasis on unknowing).

.................................................

If I had a heart, I would give it to you.

................................................

Is it just me, or does It smell like Amortenia in here?

Cassie carefully poured the small flask of the powerful potion into the stirring pot.

There was no going back now, she reminded herself. The thought of the way Gabriel looked at Abigail disgusted her and stabbed deep into her soul.

She thought of the baby that once grew in her. The baby that she had loved. Abigail was the reason, she was convinced. Hence, Abigail killed her baby.

Sometimes she was scared of herself. What she was now capable of scared her to the core. But at other times like this time, she channels it as her strength. In her heart, revenge prospered and slowly poisoned her form the inside out.

He would love her, she concluded. No matter what it took, she had to have him, even if it took a spell.

He would love her, the way she loved him.

...........................................

The Quidditch tryouts were upon them again, and Gabriel couldn't help but find himself distracted as he sat, watching the eager first-years.

When he was a first year, he was so full of life. Of vibrance, of hope, of hubris. He felt that he was on top of the world. The moment he walked into Hogwarts, he thrived. People surrounded him like maggots, and he loved and basked in the attention he got from girls.

He couldn't wait to go to parties, to have sex, to fall in love.....

Now, he knows, that falling in love isn't nearly as pleasant as they say it is. All his life, he believed that his parents loved each other, and that their marriage was perfect. But now, all that was shattered. It was evident that his father never loved his mother, not one bit. Did she know about his infidelity? Perhaps. Perhaps not. All he knew was that everything now would break her heart. Her family falling apart, her son sinking deeper and deeper into depression.

How he wished she was still here.

"Gabe? Gabe?" Peter Lin, his best friend, waved his hands in front of his face. "You there? Did you see that Parson kid? I thought he was good"

"Um...sure." Gabriel muttered, distracted.

"What the fuck is going on, man? Can you please pay attention? You're the captain, not me. Watch." Peter reminded.

Gabriel rolled his eyes. "Fuck off." He said.

Peter shakes his head and goes back to the first years attempting to stay on their brooms.

Abigail was there too, helping with the tryouts. After all, she was still on the team. She saw Gabe's blank face, and grew more concerned. The bubbly, bright boy has all but been gone. What replaced him was a unpredictable, moody, alcoholic version of the usually friendly party boy.

It's all my fault. She thought, and all she wanted was to go up to him and give him a hug, tell him that everything was going to be okay.

But it wasn't.
