Prom.
I always thought that sounded like fun. I always thought it would be the best night of my life.
Well, that was stupid of me to think. I could go, but there's a few problems.
1. I have no dress
2.I have no shoes
3.I have no date
4. I HAVE NO DATE!
This is one of the reasons I do not wanna show up at school. Because everyone is in a happy relationship with the one they love, and I'm just sitting here like...
I'm in a relationship with pizza.
And it doesn't help that Tay is blabbing her mouth about how excited she is that Aaron is flying out to take her to prom. And how she bought the perfect dress. And how she has the perfect shoes. And how she rented a limo.
Bleh.
I mean, I guess I could go. I got asked by a few guys at school. I just told them I'd think about it.
Or, I could be the third wheel of Tay and Aaron's date and stand in the back of the gym while a slow song plays and I stand there like a sloth not being able to move.
I think the second choice sounds fun.
"Brooke. Are you even listening to a word I'm saying?" Tay asked. I shook my head no.
The funny thing is, we are in a dress store right now because Tay needed the seamstress here to tighten the dress a little. I wandered off to find a dress.
I can't believe I'm actually doing this.
I was searching high and low for a dress. But nothing caught my eye. After about 10 minutes of looking I finally saw a dress in the back of the store. I went to check if they had it in my size and sure enough, they did. I walked to the fitting room where Tay was and asked if I could get a room. Tay was looking at me wide eyed but was smiling anyway.
I slipped on the dress and zipped up the side zipper.
It fit perfectly.
It was perfect.
I stepped out to show the dress to Tay. When she saw me she squealed
"Oh my god! You never wear pink! Eek!"
I rolled my eyes and laughed. She was right, I never wear pink. But for think dress I made an exception.
It was a very light pink, one strap dress. It had small sparkles at the top and the rest that went to the bottom was blank.
(Im no good at describing things so bare with me)
"We so need to buy you shoes! Im thinking silver! OH and we need to get your hair and nails done. I think you should get your legs waxed instead of you shaving them yourself. And I am so totally doing your makeup! And-" I cut Tay off by putting my hand up to her mouth.
"Stop talking." I said. She mumbled something under my hand but I cut her off again.
"No. Just shush. I'm going to take my hand off your mouth and you are going to be quiet. K?" I asked her. She nodded. I slowly removed my hand and she stayed quiet. I walked back into my dressing room and changed back into my original clothes. I put the dress back on the hanger it was originally on and walked out the room. Once Tay was done with her dress we walked up to the cash register. She told me the price and I was a little uneasy about it but eventually gave in because the dress was stunning so..
We then went to buy some shoes, even though i told Tay that I already had a pair of silver heels she still forced me to buy another pair. Whatever.
