Chris' Little Sister

Chapter 14

I was waiting for Chris to come out of the portal when I saw Leo walking over to it. Then suddenly Chris flew out of the portal and on Leo.
"Leo, what are you doing here?" Chris asked.
"Get off of me." Leo said and pushed him off.
"Are you following me again?" Chris asked as they stood up. "I thought we were past these issues."
"What is that?"
"That? Nothing."
"No?" Leo grabbed Chris's arm and shoved his head in the portal. When he pulled Chris back out and he was wearing a knight's helmet. "What the hell? Chris lifted up the face guard.
"Long story." The he took off the helmet and threw it in the portal.
"What is that? A time portal? Is that what that is? What are you using that for?"
"I don't have to answer that."
"I thought you said you had nothing to hide."
"I don't have to answer that either."
"Wanna bet?" Then Leo grabbed Chris and they both went into the portal.
"Chris!" I yelled as I jumped in after them.

Next thing I know I'm rolling down a rocky hill until I land on top of Chris. I get off him and the two of them stand up.
"KC you ok?" Chris asked me. I nodded my head and continued to catch my breath.
"Where are we?" Leo asked.
"How the hell should I know? That's what I was trying to tell you, I don't know how to control it." Chris said.
"Yeah." Then we heard a roar and Chris looked behind him. HE suddenly grabbed my and started running. I looked back and saw a T-rex coming straight at us.

"Come on." Chris said as we got to the top and run around a large rock. "Let's go." We heard the dinosaur roars and we hid in a space under a large rock. The dinosaur lost us and walked away. "I don't understand, why can't we orb?"
"Prehistoric. Magic won't be around until there's people around to use it." Leo said.
"Perfect. We'll just hang out for the next million years or so, no problem."
"More like sixty-five million." Chris looked at him.
"It's the cretaceous period." I said.
"Man Leo, you are old. I think he's gone. He looks gone. Do you think he's gone?"
"No."
"Neither do I." We continued to walk along the mountain.
"The sooner we get back to our time, the less we'll have to worry about." Leo said.
"Yeah, that's gonna be a problem." Chris said.
"What do you mean?"
"You can't just create time portals out of thin air." I said.
"Well, you coming back from the future originally seemed like an exact science." Leo said.
"That was a spell, alright? A one way door. It only goes backward in time, not forward." Chris said.
"So, what, you're creating portals to get back to the future, is that it? Why?"
"To see if it changed, okay? To see if I stopped the demon who was after Wyatt. What? You still don't believe me?"
"All I care about right now is getting back home."
"Well, all you gotta do is find the portal that dumped us here. Good luck. Watch out for the dinosaurs."
"You'd like, wouldn't you? Get rid of me once and for all?"
"You were the one who sent us back to Jurassic Park, alright? Not me."
"Wouldn't be the first time you tried to get rid of me."
"Think what you want, but know this. If we don't find a way back, Wyatt's screwed. If you don't believe me, believe that."
"Can we stop!" I snapped and they looked at me. "I get it you both hate each other with a passion but can we please focus on getting out of here? I for one wanna live to see my next birthday."

"This looks familiar, doesn't it?" Chris asked. I was riding on his back.
"Yeah." I said.
"Maybe we should split up, find the portal faster."
"Wait, if one of us gets caught, the other one needs to keep going. For Wyatt's sake." Leo said.
"Oh, you believe me about it now?"
"No. I just wanna let you know what's gonna happen if you get caught." The Chris' hand went through a rock.
"Found it!" Chris said. Then we hear the dinosaur roar and when Leo turns around he slips on the loose rock and slides down the hill. "Leo!" I jumped off Chris' back. The dinosaur appeared behind him. Chris ran over to Leo and helped him up. "Come on, come on, go, go!"
We ran as the dinosaur snapped at us and jumped through the portal. We rolled down another hill but this one was covered with grass.
"You okay?" Chris asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"Thanks for not listening to me." Leo said.
"Any time." The suddenly seven soldiers surround us and pointed shot guns at us.
"You boys Yankees?" Once of the asked before they grabbed us.

After we found our way back Chris went to the club with the others. Me being twelve I had to stay home with Wyatt and the babysitter.

Chris's POV- (just a little brother scene before the end)
I got back from the club and the babysitter had already taken Wyatt to bed. I looked in the living room and saw KC asleep on the couch in her pajamas.
"She wanted to wait for you to get home." The little elf woman told me.
"Thanks." I said and walked over to her. "KC. Hey wake up."
"Chris?" She mumbled.
"Come on. Time for bed." I said and picked her up. I carried her to her room and tucked her in. "Goodnight."
"Chris?" I heard her say I got to the door. I turned around and her was rubbing her eyes. "Could sleep in here with me tonight? I've been having nightmares."
"Sure thing. I'll be right back ok?" She nodded her head and I went and changed into pajamas before going back in her room. I waited for her to fall asleep before laying next to her and falling asleep myself.
