Chris' Little Sister

Chapter 18

Piper's birthday was coming up, so being only twelve and broke I thought I would make her a card. Not much but, I didn't know what else to do. When I was done I hid it under my pillow and went looking for Chris.
"Well, you weren't here earlier, were you?" I saw him following Piper down the hall and followed them. "Look, the only thing that matters right now is what's best for Wyatt."
"This is not what's best for Wyatt, Piper." Chris said.
"How do you know?"
"Because I've seen the future and this isn't supposed to happen."
"So what is supposed to happen?"
"Come on, you know I can't answer that."
"Well, since you're sent from the future to change it, maybe this is one of the things that needs to be changed."
"No, it's not." Piper went into Wyatt's room and Chris followed. "Believe me, it's not."
"Shh." Piper saw the present on the dresser. "Who left this?"
"Look, if you're so concerned about protecting Wyatt, there's other ways to go about doing it, you know." Piper opened the card in the present.
"Like what?"
"Like letting Leo take him up there for a while." Chris moved near the crib and Wyatt put up his shield. "You could always bind his powers."
"Leo left me a birthday present. How sweet."
"Will you think about what I said?"
"About what?"
"About binding Wyatt's powers."
"No way."
"Why not? Nobody would ever be after him and you'd have your life back."
"But that would be selfish of me, wouldn't it? Put my needs before his destiny. I'm not being a martyr, Chris, I'm not. I just get it now. I'm the mother of a very special child that if I do my job right, his gonna grow up to do very special things. What could possibly be more important than that?" Wyatt started to stir and whimper. "Sweetie, go back to sleep. I will be right back." Then she left.
"Chris?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He turned towards me.
"What are you doing for her birthday?"
"Piper?" I nodded my head. "I don't know. She doesn't seem to be in a birthday mood."
"You don't wanna do anything for her birthday?"
"It's not that I don't want to, it's I don't know what to do. My focus is on protecting Wyatt. Saving our future."
"Yeah what was that all about?"
"Piper's giving up on love."
"What? She can't!"
"I'm fixing it ok?"
"I hope so." I headed for my room when I heard something explode in the attic.
When I went up there Paige and Phoebe were there and some guy I had never seen before was standing there.
"What the-" I quickly turned around, seeing that the man didn't have anything on.
"KC?" Paige said.
"Sorry!" Phoebe said.
"Maybe you guys should close the door next time...and lock it." I said.
"Could you go and get some of Leo's old clothes please?" Phoebe asked.
"Yep. Sure can." I said and gave her a thumbs up before running and getting the clothes.
When I got back the door was closed. Thank the lord. I closed my eyes before slowly opening to door and handing out the clothes.
"Thanks KC." Phoebe said and someone took the clothes. I closed the door behind me and faced it before I opened my eyes.
"So who is this?" I asked.
"Piper's birthday present." Paige said.
"I thought her present was the party?"
"Well from you and Phoebe, this, this is mine."
"You can turn around now KC." Phoebe said and I did.
"You know she's gonna flip right?"
"Yeah, that's why we added some pheromones to the potion." Paige said.
"Ok. Well good luck with all that." I said before leaving the room.

The next morning I woke up early. Piper doesn't know she's my mom, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna do something nice for her birthday. I don't really remember spending any birthdays with my mom.
I got up and got dressed (Picture) and brushed my hair. Once everything was done I went and grabbed the card from under my pillow and ran down stairs.
I got to the kitchen and saw the girls already made her breakfast.
"Really guys? I was gonna make her breakfast." I said.
"Sorry KC." Phoebe said.
"And we didn't make it. Mr. Right did." Paige said and pointed to the man that they created.
"Ok. Well, I'm gonna think of something else." Then the three of them left the kitchen.
I set the card down on the counter and started thinking. There had to be something I could do.
"Leo." I said and he orbed down.
"KC, is something wrong?"
"No, it's just I was gonna make Piper breakfast for her birthday, but her sisters already did that. What else should I do?"
"I don't know." He looked over at the counter. "What's this?" He asked picking up my card.
"Just a card I made her." He opened it and looked at it.
"I think she'd like it. Try just giving it to her. It's the thought that counts." He smiled at me as he handed me the cars and I smiled back.
"Thanks Leo." Then he orbed out.
I looked around and thought of something. I climbed the counter getting what I needed. Last minute birthday surprise coming up.

When I was done I went out of the kitchen only to find Leo and Chris busting Phoebe and Paige.
"Piper was gonna give up on love, on her birthday nonetheless." Phoebe said.
"So you conjured a man?" Chris asked,
"No, not just a man, the perfect man. See, he's somebody who knows exactly what she wants and he's just gonna be here long enough to strain her out." Paige said.
"Twenty-four hours, that's it.. That's great, right?" Phoebe said.
"Yeah, not even twenty-four, really eight and then sadly he goes poof." Paige said.
"Yeah. You don't want her to live life without love, do you Leo?"
"We'll talk about this later after we deal with the Order." Leo said.
"The Order?" I asked, walking up them.
"The group that's after Wyatt." Chris told me.
Then Darryl walked in through the front door.
"Is this a bad time? I just wanted to drop this off." He said holding up a present.
"Darryl, why didn't you just wait till dinner?" Paige asked.
"Dinner. Actually, this is for Wyatt so he has a little something to open up too."
"Oh, that's so sweet." Phoebe said and went over to Darryl and took the tube off of him.
"Ah, Sheila's idea, actually. You mind if I give it to him?" He said as he took it back from Phoebe.
"Oh, sure, yeah, they're upstairs."
"Thanks." Then Darryl headed for the stairs.
"Don't you think maybe we should cancel the dinner party?" Chris asked.
"No." Paige said.

We were standing at the bottom of the stairs when Piper and 'David', as they call him now, walked down the stairs.
"What's up?" Piper asked.
"We need to talk. Wyatt may be in danger." Phoebe said. Then the baby monitor Piper was holding crackled.
"Why is it doing that?" Chris said. Then Piper and Leo suddenly ran up the stairs.
"You stay here." Leo said to David.
We all looked at each other before running after them. When we got there Piper was holding Wyatt.Leo: Is he okay?
"You're okay, you're okay." Piper said.
"Did he hurt him?" Paige asked.
"No, I think he's okay."
"I'm gonna see if there's anything in the book about the Order." I said.
"There isn't." Piper said.
"No you were looking for a demon, I'm gonna looked for a demonic cult." I said.
"Good point." Chris said and I ran towards the attic and started looking through the book.
I remember reading about them somewhere, I just can't remember.

"So you've got quiet an influence on Piper, don't you?" I looked up and saw Chris and David walking into the room.
"Well, I just reflect what she wants."
"Interesting. So, what, they just wrote down what she wanted and that was that?"
"I don't know. I guess."
"Chris." He turned around and faced me. "That's exactly how it works. Thought you would of known that spell, knowing you as a teenager." I said and looked back at the book.
"Huh. Let's see...and what does that mean?"
"Nothing Chris. Go ahead and mess things up with the Mr. Right already." I said still looking through the book.
Chris wrote something down on a piece of paper and threw it into the potion. I looked up and David glowed for a second.
"What were we talking about?" David asked.
"Oh boy." I said and went back to the book again.
"Uh, Paige, and what she looks for in men." Chris said.
"Paige. She wants a man who she can openly practice magic around. One she won't feel suppressed by."
"Good, very good. And what about Phoebe?" He wrote something else down and threw it in the potion.
"Phoebe. She wants the same thing. Plus, she wants him to be available to live near her heart, that's what she wants."
"This potion packs a hell of a punch, doesn't it? Of course, in order for them to be with the perfect man, is if they're happy with each other first." He wrote something else down. "And the only way they can be happy with each other first is agreeing to bind Wyatt's powers." He threw the paper into the potion and David glowed again. "Pheromones. Ah, what the hell."
"Chris no!" I said but he was already pouring in a bunch of pheromones. "Do you know what you just did?" I said looking at him.

After Chris left and I found nothing on the Order I went back down stairs. When I got down I heard the door knock and Darryl walked in with Sheila.
"Knock, knock." Darryl said as they walked in the door.
"Surprise!" Sheila said. Darryl picked up a crystal sitting near the front door.
"Do you guys need this? I found it by the door." He asked and Phoebe got up.
"Yes, we need it by the door." She took the crystal from Darryl. "Don't touch our crystals."
"At least we know it's really Darryl." Paige said.
Phoebe put the crystal back in front of the door. David stood behind Piper and started massaging her shoulders.
"Hey." Darryl said.
"Ah, and who's he?" Sheila asked.
"Oh, ah, this is David." Piper said.
"Hi." David said.
"Actually, guys, the dinner's been cancelled. Sorry." Chris said but because of Chris and his pheromones, David butted in.
"Why? The girls still want to party, don't you?" He said.
"Yeah!" Paige said.
"Woo hoo!"
"But the dinner hasn't been made." Chris said.
"Oh, I can fix that. "On Piper's day set this table, with all the favours you're able." Paige said. Food and plates appeared on the table, along with champagne glasses, candles and a cake. Decorations appeared on the ceiling too. "Ah, not bad, huh?"
"No, no, this isn't right, this isn't what they want." Chris said.
"Hey, if it makes them happy, it's what they want. Come on, have a seat." David said.
"What about Wyatt? Anyone?" Chris said as everyone sat down.
"Told ya." I said, still standing at the stairs with my arms crossed.
"Shut up KC." Chris groaned.
I just stood there, watching as Chris' brilliant plan got worse by the minute. The pheromones kept the girls in a trance and Chris kept trying to get them to focus on Wyatt.
"Is this some kind of demonic thing?" Darryl asked Chris.
"No, it's some sort of messed up thing." I said, still enjoying this in a way.
"Maybe we should go." Sheila said.
"Good idea." Chris said.
They got up and before we knew it the girls started a food fight.
"And it gets better." I said to Darryl and Sheila.
"Thanks for dinner." Darryl said.
"Happy Birthday." Sheila said and I walked them to the door.
"Sorry about that." I said as we reached the door. "My brother's plan didn't work like he thought."
"It's fine." Darryl said. "Let us know what happens."
"Will do." They left and then everyone went upstairs to the attic.

"Are you sure about this?" Phoebe asked as we all got inside the room.
"What you want more than anything is to get along. And this will help you do that." David said.
"Um, I'm pretty sure what we want more than anything is, um, a good dry cleaner." Paige said.
"Leo!" Chris yelled. Leo orbed in with Wyatt and put him in the playpen.
"What happened?" He asked after he looked at the girls.
"You don't wanna know." I said. "Trust me."
"We're binding Wyatt's powers." Piper blurted out.
" What?" Leo asked.
"We already decided."
"You can't be serious."
Suddenly Wyatts shield hit Leo sending him flying across the room, knocking over the girls, Chris, and I. The Order demons walked into the shield.
"He's one of us now." One of them said before shimmering out with Wyatt. That was when the girls turned to Chris.
"The pheromones wore off." Chris said.
"Right after they took my son." Piper said.
"You don't seriously believe this is my fault, do you?"
"Oh, right, so it's just a big coincidence we all fell under Mr. Right's spell?" Paige said.
"And suddenly we all want to bind Wyatt's powers?" Phoebe said.
"You see, Chris, what they really want is for you-"
"For you to leave." Paige interrupted David.
"I knew that."
"This is crazy. Leo, tell them." Chris said.
"Tell them what? I'm wondering the same thing myself." Leo said.
"Okay, so what if I did? I was only trying to protect Wyatt."
"By tricking us?" Piper said.
"I had to."
"Why?" Phoebe asked.
"Chris-" Then Chris told them.
"Because the only reason I came here was to keep Wyatt from turning evil."
"Turning evil?" Leo asked.
"Wait, don't you mean stopping evil from hurting him?" Paige said.
"I didn't think you'd help me if you knew the truth. I knew you wouldn't. The evil from the future I came back to stop isn't a demon. It's Wyatt." Chris said.
"You're lying." Piper said.
"No, I'm not. He's gonna grow up and terrorise people with his powers, take over. Kill even."
"Why should we believe you after all the lies?" Leo asked.
"Because you have to."
"No, Chris, we don't, actually." Piper said.
"Fine, then don't. Either way, we need to save Wyatt now and I'm the one who knows how to do it."
"Really? How?" Phoebe asked.
"The Order. They used their powers to turn him, to reverse his morality. See, he thinks bad is good now, and good is bad. That's why his shield repelled you."
"So?" Leo asked.
"So Wyatt brings his shield up around me. He thinks I'm a threat."
"Yeah, so do I." Piper said.
"Listen to me, they reversed his sense of morality. That means his shield will protect him from you but not from me. Please, I'm the only one who can save him. Let me help."
"Chris, we don't need your help. I will get my son back, and when I do, I don't wanna see you anymore."
"I'm sorry." Chris grabbed my hand and orbed out.

"Chris we have to help." I told him.
"I know. You need to stay here."
"No way. You didn't listen to me before and look what happened. I'm going with you."
"Fine. Let's go." I hopped on his back and we orbed to the Order's lair.

When we got there the girls were already there. The leader created a fireball and was about to throw it when Chris ran in and jumped him, causing his fireball to kill him. The rest of the Order demons shimmered out.
"Pick up the scepter and point it at Wyatt." Chris said and Piper picked it up. "Trust me."
She pointedit at Wyatt and Wyatt's shield vanished. Piper picked him up.
"How come he didn't raise his shield back up for you?" Paige asked.
"I don't know. Looks like he trusts me now at least." Then Chris and I orbed out.

Chris took me back to the manor, before leaving again. I went downstairs and saw Piper.
"Piper." She looked over at me. "I'm sorry about the Mr. Right thing, and everything that happened."
"It's alright KC."
"But it's still your birthday and I still have my present to give you." Then I lead her into the kitchen and she saw the cupcake and card. "I only got one of them to come out right, but I frosted it and everything." I said and lit the candle. "Happy Birthday Piper." I looked at her and she smiled.
"Thank you KC." She hugged me.
"Now make a wish." I said and pushed the cupcake over to her. She did and blew the candle out. Then she took a bite.
"Good job KC. This is good."
"Thanks. My mom used to bake all the time, so I guess I kind of picked up on some things." I grabbed the card and handed it to her. "Here." She took it and read it.
"'Thanks for showing me what a real family is like. Happy Birthday, best wishes, KC.'" She set it down on the counter and hugged me again. "Thank you so much." She pulled back. "Now it's late. I think this is where Chris tells you it's time for bed."
"Ok. Goodnight Piper."
"Goodnight." Then I went upstairs and went to bed.

There's a little Piper and KC moment. Only a few more until they start learning about Chris and KC.
